alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

This world is so beautiful. People are shipping Ryan gosling and markiplier. Because they were both in space movies you see
Tumblr users love to do things like this. I DO NOT mean this in a mocking way to be completely clear. I think it's cute. It reminds me of back in the day when people shipped jack frost and elsa cause they both have ice powers.
Or like the superwholock thing. Tumblr users like to go "I like this thing AND that thing.. What if my FAVORITE CHARACTERS met each other? Would that be cool or WHAT!" And the thing is it's absolutely adorable
You can say it's cringe or bad or missing the point of the movie all you want but I don't care. Yeah man, I bet it would be really cute if there was a happy ending and the blood murder man (in space) got saved by the dorky science teacher (in space) and they had yaoi moments. I'm so glad you're having fun
Sometimes all you can do is lie in bed and hope to fall asleep before you fall apart.

next time you get frustrated with yourself while trying to clean or do some other adulting activity, ask yourself, "was I ever actually taught how to do this or was I just told to do it and yelled at when I inevitably didn't do it right?"
then go look up how to actually do that shit before you keep trying
it might take more time today, but it will save you so much time and frustration in the long run not trying to struggle through something you don't actually know how to do.
assuming someones health based on their age in a world where babies can be born with disabilities and illnesses, and elderly who can run marathons and live past 100 makes zero sense.
health will never automatically be a certain level based on age.

Stop abusing children and calling it punishment or discipline. Stop waiting for them to mess up so you can take out your darkness on them and convince yourself it’s guilt-free. Treat them with grace they are fucking trying I promise you.
Trying to prove a point to someone who doesn’t understand why going to a new doctor would be anxiety inducing because “they’ve literally made a whole career out of wanting to help people, how could they do any wrong.” And “Why would you be scared of someone that spent years and years, went hundreds of thousands in debt, just to be able to help people?”
Fucking hell could you please like or reblog if you’ve ever been gaslit or fake-claimed or in any way mistreated or not taken seriously by any healthcare professional. Any details in the tags is appreciated too. I just need more people to understand that getting clinical help is often infinitely harder than it sounds.

Samantha Shannon really does like just putting Paige in Situations™ and this is only the third book. There’s still four more after this and two of them aren’t even out yet. Samantha, what more could you possibly put her through? Samantha, could you give you her a damn minute?? Samantha, I am taking custody of Paige!
