I don’t usually post stuff like this or should i say never have post a post like this and i understand that i’m not the best writer but i need to write this and i need you guys help and sorry for posting this in this blog but i need to reach as manny people as possible.

so by now fans of the show know that Netflix decided to cancel the show (something i found out while finishing episode 5 of part 2 so you guys can imagine how i felt while watching the finale) and the cancellation of the show only sink in after i finished watching the finale and after like 5 Minutes after for some reason my eyes got watery this is something that never have happen to me before and this sudden feeling of anger and sadness came to me something i never felt before, there have been other shows that i liked that got cancelled but i never got upset ‘i would just find another show’ but to me the cancellation of this show felt personal this to me atleast was the first time that as a Puerto Rican i felt like i was represented and not just represented like ‘hey that guy in the club or the that third guy in the show is Puerto Rican or some dude was talking about their Puerto Rican friend’ nah in this show we were FRONT AND CENTER.

As a Puerto Rican we 99% of the time we NEVER get represented and if we do is always as the fat gangster,or the guy who cuts the white lady’s grass or as a bad joke,and this is not me hating white people but most if not all of white people are numb to the feeling of being amaze of seeing your people represented (and to be honest  don’t they know how that feels) in a show or a movie to the fact that i get to see myself and my people in a show portrayed in a fun,real way even if the character was just half Puerto Rican. so yeah i got angry and mad to the fact that instead of just replacing the showrunner with someone else netflix decided to cancel the show instead of just looking for someone else to runthe show, i didn’t even care if they lower the show’s budget but the fact that they cancel the show just anger me one of the many thing’s i liked about the show is the representaion of Minority’s from Puerto Rican To Black people and how we struggle in the 70′s and still do.

Right now as i’m writing this that only thing i can hear is how hard i’m pressing my laptop’s keyboard, for me as for so many other fans the show wasn’t just a show to me. to me The Get Down represented hope and a one of kind of pleasure that you can only get from watching something that speaks to you in a personal level that speaks to your hard something that gives you hope,inspiration and acknowledgement, something that says you exist so netflix didn’t just cancel a show the cancel us.

Did David Ayer, who is slated to direct and produce Gotham City Sirens, give a hint to who the villain will be for the film?

He posted this shot of Black Mask from the graphic novel Batman: Under the Red Hood on his Twitter account. 

Sirens is an idea that Margot Robbie (aka Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad) pitched to Warner Bros. back in May. The movie will reunite Ayer and Robbie who both worked on Suicide Squad together. The film will focus on three of Batman’s toughest female foes: Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

The name of the long-rumored, Harley Quinn-centric DC movie will be Gotham City Sirens, THR revealed today.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer will return to Gotham along with Margot Robbie, who will play Harley Quinn, and a cast of female superheroes and supervillains from the DC Universe.

Gotham City Sirens the name of a comic book series that starred Harley, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy (Harley’s girlfriend). Both Catwoman and Poison Ivy have appeared in previous film incarnations, with Uma Thurman playing Ivy in Batman and Robin and Catwoman having appeared in three separate feature films – Batman Returns, where she was portrayed by Michelle Pfeifer; Catwoman, played by Halle Berry; and The Dark Knight Rises, played by Anne Hathaway.

Geneva Robertson-Dworet, whio also wrote scripts for the Tomb Raider remake and Warners’ Sherlock Holmes 3, is writing the screenplay.
