I am SO excited!
It’s Slytherin Pride Day. Because Slytherin are way more than just evil, noseless wizards.
http://geekandsundry.com/5-awesome-things-you-need-to-understand-about-slytherins/
Break out your green and silver, kids. Today’s the day to raise the Slytherin banner high and share a little love for one of the most misunderstood houses in all of Hogwarts. Sure, we’ve got a certain, noseless evil wizard in our list of alums, but there is actually a lot of awesome…
“Lady Tilda and the Dragon”
Or “Mom Knight” which is what I kept calling it for most of the time I worked on this. This was my story for Valor, a fairy tale anthology I was in last year! It’s a really great book, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it. You can purchase a copy here.
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME
I am doing my best not to tear up in public! I can’t help it! WHY IS MY FACE WET!?
“nod” killed me
Funny comic for you to chuckle!
TellTale Games’ upcoming Batman series is headed to SXSW! The panel, “BATMAN: Telltale Unmasked with Greg Miller,” will take place March 18th in Austin. It will also be streamed live on Twitch at twitch.tv/sxswgaming.
Telltale’s output made up some of the best and worst of our picks for 2015. Meanwhile, the latest entry in the other Batman series made Jaylee’s GOTY list–with a few caveats. How will this one measure up? - Stacey
I literally cannot wait for this! Seriously!!!
Gaming shouldn't be a countdown to a refund
I actually adore short, narrative games. If I can complete it in one day that’s ideal. The fact that so many want to refund shorter indie games, despite loving them, is heartbreaking to me. Would you honestly rather developers pack in a bunch of fluff just so it can meet your length requirements?
Favorite indie games: Firewatch
You’ve got a front row seat for what might be the biggest fire of the year.

Whenever I meet a new group of game production students at The Los Angeles Film School, I ask them what role they want to have in the game industry. Every so often, I get one who says, “I’m really

Chocolate Cheesecake: Celebrating the Modern Black Pin-up (2015)
By Earnest L. Cox
“Blending the style of the past with the women of the present, this book is a first-of-its-kind celebration of modern black pin-up beauty. Black pin-ups existed during the “Golden Age of Pin-ups,” but like other black artists of the time, they often did not receive the same attention as their white contemporaries. Although still rare, modern black pin-up models are getting more attention thanks to models and photographers who understand that pin-up has evolved to include all backgrounds and ethnicities.”
Get it now here
I don’t know why, but I am in love with the name “Chocolate Cheesecake”.
Did… did I honestly just lose a follower for suggesting the Fallout girls don’t shave?
I’d better say it louder then.
THE LADIES OF FALLOUT ALL HAVE NATURAL BODY HAIR BECAUSE THEY LIVE IN AN APOCALYPTIC WASTELAND. ALL YOUR WAIFU’S ARE HAIRY. FUCKING DEAL.
!!!!!!!
HONESTLY DO YOU THINK THESE GIRLS WASTE TIME, SHARP BLADES, WATER OR SOAP ON SHAVING
And no media to tell them that they should!
At some point, every expert was a beginner.

The sense of presence that VR provides has the potential to reconfigure the relationship games have with violence
“In a normal game there’s an enormous amount of dissonance between what’s happening onscreen and what you’re experiencing,” says George Kelion, communications manager for VR studio nDreams. “You’re not really in the experience, you’re witnessing the experience – it’s secondhand almost. I think violence is entertaining when you can highlight that disconnect.
“The idea of putting a bullet in the back of somebody’s head in VR – I think that’s something that’s far less entertaining and induces much more of an emotional reaction,” he adds.
On violence in virtual reality.
Been saying this for years. It will be interesting how it changes the industry. I actually predict a drop in first-person shooting games, just because it would feel to real for them. Also has other implications who really enjoy the game more because it’s more realistic. Definitely will make for interesting discussion in the future.
Why We Need a Bigger Feminist ‘Let’s Play’ Community
Embedding intersectional feminism into the games industry – both in terms of the players, and developers – is more important than we realize. If we had more feminist Let’s Players on YouTube and Twitch, then we’d have more safe spaces to be able to talk about games. And I don’t just mean to talk about the bigoted parts, I mean talk about them at all.

“…I’ll be going now. I’ll come back when it’s all over.“
It’s been years and years, but I still have a lot of sads over Aerith. You’d think I’d be over it by now, but I’m nOT, OKAY. ;A;
the remake hype train is still going full-speed ahead for me, so here’s the first FF7 cosplay I pulled together for Katsu ‘16. I never thought I’d say this, but winter conventions are no joke, man. IT WAS SO COLD OUT??? Making me miss Otakon already, slkfjdklasdjgsadg
photos by the ridiculously amazing @chezphoto, it was my first time working with them, and they were sO NICE and SO TALENTED and SO PATIENT with me and my shivering bones, and they even brought a blanket for me to huddle in between shots??? That’s Quality Customer Service there, people. TOP. NOTCH.

This is the definition of kawaii!
This makes me want a video game about a zombie apocalypse that only affects men so it’s up to the housewives of 50s’ America to save humanity.
…saving this idea for class.
i would play the heck out of that game, it is an amazing idea.
Also can there be a character design screen so you can make your little housewife?
I think it’d be entertaining to see what guys could come up with for making their female-selves. If you ask me.
I would so play this game.
I would suck at it but I would play it.
I’ve never played a zombie game, but you got me at 50’s.
Hngggggggg I love 50s clothes give it to me
OMG I already thought of some sort of premise:
In 1953 a certain laboratory on an undisclosed location developed a serum that could genetically modify humans, giving them enhanced speed, agility, strength, and brainpower.
Scientists found a way to modify the serum such that it could only activate itself in the presence of a Y chromosome, thus isolating the effects to men, mostly because of female discrimination at the time.
The serum was a success, and sales skyrocketed just a few weeks after its release.
What the developers did not anticipate, though, was the human body’s incapacity to handle the serum. The mental and physical over-exhaustion triggered a mental decay which starts out slow, but speeds up exponentially within a few months after usage of the serum. The brains of the users are left with only the most basic survival reflexes, transforming the users into strong, fast, agile, emotionless human shells, devouring any mobile life form in their path.
Bites from the affected individuals could place copies of the rogue serum into the bodies of the bitten, giving them the symptoms. Shortly after, the serum evolved into a sort of genetic virus, causing mental decay in just days. No one was safe. No one…
…except the women.
*cue in epic music*
Can you imagine the shitstorm this game would cause. I’d laugh pretty hard.
Would still play it though.
Not gonna lie, I’d play the shit out of this.
I approve of this concept 100%
I want a montage in the beginning of the housewife getting ready to kick ass
She puts on her best dress, a string of pearls, does her hair taking out the curlers, puts on her most stylish flats, and the finishing touch, her engagement ring with the big diamond in it, and when they fight, they look fabulous and kick ass like they were trained by Catwoman and Harley Quinn
Lipstick the shade of the blood of my enemies
oh my god everything about this post forever
I want this
brb making my cosplay outfit now
She hurries into the kitchen, carefully adjusting the bow about her midriff. It always pays to look presentable, you never know when you might simply drop down dead, at least that was the advice her mother used to give and these things stick.
She reaches to her neck and gently pulls at her necklace, a gift from a birthday long gone.

“Right on time.” she thinks to herself, as the back door creaks open. She gets to work pulling open drawers. She doesn’t hurry so much as move with a swift determination. It must have been left around here SOMEWHERE.
A drawer rattles open, the clink of cutlery echoing the footstep behind her. She smiles and takes a step back, pirouetting gracefully, her arm follows bringing with it the wrench whistling through the air.
A dull, yet satisfying, thud is her reward as the wrench crushes the skull of her milkman’s reanimated corpse. She drops and rolls to one side to avoid the explosion of scarlet.
She stands up brushing dust from her dress and glances into the mirror.
“Well that just won’t do.” she states matter of factly.
A few small drops of blood have landed on her shoulder.
“That just won’t do at all.”
She wanders into the hallway and delicately pulls on the soft, white, cotton gloves she finds there.
She lifts the fire axe from its resting place next to the door, gripping it tightly, feeling the weight. She takes a deep breath, closing her eyes. A moment later they snap open, the door is opened carefully and closed behind her.
“Time to go get a new dress I suppose”
She turns to face the horde.
I… I need this game!
With an opening sequence set to this dialogue…
How to be a good Housewife - Extract from Housekeeping Monthly, 1955.
Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favourite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.
Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you’ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.
Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first – remember his topics of conversation are more important that yours.
Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner, or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax. Don’t complain if he’s late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through that day.
Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
Don’t ask him questions about his actions or question his judgement or integrity. Remember he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.
A good wife always knows her place.
Ahhh you guys I can see it all in my head - why don’t I own a game company!!!
