Ok i was watching some mdzs gacha reaction videos (i was bored and i wanted to get back into my mdzs roots through any media i can get my hands on. I'm starving for JC edits ok??) and let me tell you how pissed off i am.
Naturally, i only watch the jiang cheng focused ones because he is my one and only, my babygirl (I've now run out of JC-centric ones, so i am cautiously wading through the rest. Heck! I literally skip reaction clips that he isn't in). Ok, I've been doing this mindless watching for like a week now and was skipping shit because, you know, where is my JC babygirl?? I need hot edits of him. Or angsty ones, I'm not picky. There was this one gacha video got me so incensed. Like, the second I understood what was happening I deleted it from my history and had the vague but confusingly visceral urge to vomit from how mad I was.
As i was skipping, it was full of WWX and wngxn videos because it was a "mdzs react to future" type. And eventually, I kid you not, they made Jin Ling mad at his jiujiu because "boo hoo, my mother voluntarily charged into a raging battle field without any means of protection and died protecting WWX while I was only a few months old. How dare you make me hate him!!1!!! I cAnT trUsT yOU aNymOrE!!!!!!! Can i even call you my uncle anymore??!?"
Like the fuck?? THE FUCK? I'm sure someone with common sense can see the million wrongs in that shit. I won't elaborate because I might write a dissertation. Why are JC antis so unbelievably stupid? They look at Jiang Cheng having a complete mental breakdown and being suicidal after suffering a devastating, life-altering injury (on top of having his parents murdered+ entire clans massacred) and somehow conclude, "Oh, he only reacts like that because he's egotistical and arrogant, he's too proud to live without his power and privilege" Like, do you even have brain up there? Or Is it just dust and cobwebs?
Imagine a star athlete who’s trained their entire life, poured blood, sweat, and tears into their work, only to have it all ripped away by a career-ending injury. Would you point at them in their lowest moment and go, "Wow, so dramatic. Guess they’re just too arrogant to live without their hard-earned skill"? No, because that would make you a garbage person.
