âThere are no female aliens in our game because we donât know how to make a female version of this alienâ You know that alien you just designed? That male alien? Give it a female voice actor and have characters refer to it as she. Thatâs it. Thatâs literally all you have to doÂ
Make her shorter if you must
Make her BIGGER if you arenât a cowardÂ
Take your male alien bodytype, make her like 4 feet taller, give her an extra set of arms and sharper teeth, and as muscular as shit.
Boom.
Give her natural camouflage and make the man like this
Make them exactly the same size and shape but different colors
Give him a huge flock of babies following him around to show off what a great lay he is
Surprise mPreganté
Exactly the same but one of them has a cool hat (you decide which)
Give her a sensible haircut for successful hunting while he has a big dumb mullet so big and dumb the food can see him coming and book it
Please just for the love of pie do not begin and end with boobs
IT'S TIME TO LAUNCH THE BOOK
WELCOME FRIENDS, TO THE BEGINNING OF AN ADVENTURE! Allow me to introduce to you, DELILAH JONES; free-lance Robin Hood and bad-ass extraordinaire.
In the cyberpunk future of The Redwood Files, Delilah Jones is half film-noire private detective, and half western-gunslinger, who rides into a lawless town and fights the bullies and the bastards that hurt innocent folks.
This anthology contains SIX, count 'em SIX short stories and novellas detailing Delilah's Adventures.
Through a Dream, Lethally; When tech CEO Michael Lense decides to hijack the soft-RAM in his employees heads in order to make people do his bidding, things can get awful, FAST. Being forced, without your consent, to be an assassin or a thief or a sex worker, and more. But Lense also has the city under-thumb. Only Delilah's got the brute force to break Lense's control, and free the city from his cruel influence.
Happy Endings, Guaranteed; Delilah has a partner, and after a long day of nonsense, is looking forward to visiting them at work to unwind. Only to get to the club where her partner works, and discover that they've been KIDNAPPED! Delilah races around the city, squaring up with every underworld hard-ass she comes across following every lead to find her partner. Except nothing is what it seems, and a simple (but tragic) kidnapping turns out to be way more nefarious than Delilah expected. . .
Delilah's Heart; recovering from the last adventure weeks later, Delilah meets a handsome butch at a dive bar. Things between the two show promise, but the butch gets called back to work by an abusive bastard who violates and exploits his employees. The butch asks Delilah for help, and as she digs into it, discovers a deeply connected mafia bookmaker who uses that underground protection to kill and exploit people without fear of consequences. Delilah's the only one who can bring justice down on this bastard, but it threatens a gang war if she does. . .
Gutter Medicine; a gang of outta-town skinheads robs an impoverished clinic in a rough neighborhood. Delilah digs into the theft, and promises to recover the medicine, only to discover that the outta-towners are stirring up trouble to pave the way for an invasion from the South. A Kingpin from Los Angeles is hungry for expansion, and Redwood is fertile ground. Unless Delilah can stop the gang, and convince the Kingpin it'd be too expensive to expand beyond the safe borders of LA.
Restitution; Delilah's robbing a rich billionaire's museum-like mansion one night when she's caught by an unlikely sentry, a very old man who'd had plans of trying to embarrass the billionaire for reneging on a deal, and leaving the old man destitute. Delilah invites him to tell his story, and she volunteers to see justice done, according to Delilah's exacting standards.
In a Name?; every trans person's name comes from a personal place and an intimate choice. This story is about a young thief, with big dreams and a hard head, how she picked her name, and the day she was reborn into Delilah-fucking-Jones.
These stories have literally been years in the making. Some of them are personal, all of them are personal favorites, and this anthology is a collection I've worked very hard on.
Genre fiction is deeply important to me, and I love bringing queer characters to this space. Every story published in this book appeared first, both as ideas and in rough-and-final drafts on my patreon.

i hate how you get desensitized to the cool stuff in your WIP if you've been writing it for a long time so when you read back over it you're like "this isn't as cool as i thought :(" but it still is! you just read it too many times
Gotta recirculate this post periodically just cuz
Just don't read the post too many times.
Oh god oh fuck
I hope Nael knows their poem made me cry
Rebageling again because... what gets me most about this interpretation is the softness. When I read the poem, I read it as exultant and fierce. The tiger within was the tiger burning bright of another poemâs fame. The tiger destroyed his cage, and who knew what next now that he was out.
Here, weâre given an answer. The tiger steps out and is surprised by the soft grass under his feet, delighted, goes wide-eyed with wonder, and leaps into the meadow. Here, the focus isnât the cageâs destruction, but getting out, being out, so that the last glimpse weâre given is the tiger now tiny (and joyful!) in the distance, surrounded by the wide green expanse of freedom.
I always wonder if Nael knows how famous this poem has become.

âLebanon, O Lebanonâ
They call you broken, shattered, torn,
A land of scars, of nights forlorn.
But they have never walked your streets,
Felt the warmth where strangers meet.
They do not know the scent of thyme,
The echoes of an oud in time,
The voices rising with the breeze,
Like whispered prayers in cedar trees.
They say your people burn with rage,
A storm confined within a cage.
But I have seen their laughter rise,
Like sunlight spilling from their eyes.
I have seen hands, rough yet kind,
Give their last, leave none behind.
Even when the cupboards bare,
A seat is saved, a meal is shared.
You build from dust with borrowed thread,
You carry dreams where others fled.
Your streets may crack, your lights may fade,
Yet in the dark, no soulâs betrayed.
The morning hums with Fairuzâ song,
A melody both soft and strong.
She sings of love, she sings of pain,
And somehow, we all heal again.
Your sunsets set the sky on fire,
Batrounâs waves reflect their pyre.
Byblos whispers tales of old,
Its stones still bathed in dusk-lit gold.
Baalbek stands, unshaken, proud,
Its ruins draped in crimson shroud.
While in the caves of Jeita deep,
The rivers dream, the echoes weep.
At 2 AM, the beaches glow,
With voices light, with footsteps slow.
As if the night refused to end,
As if the stars were still our friend.
Your mountains stand, unbowed, untamed,
Your sea still sings, though tides have changed.
The air still hums with jasmineâs breath,
A place where life outdances death.
How weddings turn to city choirs,
How grief is met with arms, not fires.
How even when the times are cruel,
The streets will fill, the hearts will fuel.
O Lebanon, my wounded grace,
You are more than time, more than place.
You are the soul that will not cease,
A raging storm, a heart at peace.
And though the world may call you lost,
May count your suffering, weigh the cost,
Theyâll never know the love you give,
The way you dieâyet always live.
And still, I hope, with all my might,
That one day soon, youâll shine with light.
That all who left will find their way,
Back to the homes from which they strayed.
That nevermore our hearts will ache,
For lands we love, yet must forsake.
That Lebanon will rise, will mend,
And homesick hearts will heal again.

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.
And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.
If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.
Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.
Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.
None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.
seeing straight men be disgusted by booktok smut recommenders has actually radicalized me to the side of booktok smut recommenders. girls your taste may be atrocious but i will never disparage you for exposing mainstream discourse to the concept of soaking through your underwear. spent my whole life listening to men talk about penises itâs about time they get jumpscared by women talking about pussy in crude detail on social media. go forth and goon my warriors
I work at a bookstore and hearing one of my male coworkers call smutty romantasy "the downfall of society" because it's "literally just porn" radicalized me
Men have an entire industry. Entire industries dedicated to their sexualities. Let women have fantasy sex. there's not even a camera crew involved.

Made a chart for sorting fantheories
today I realized that I can write it how I want to. if that's thru a series of montages and concrete moments. almost like how life seems to blend together in memory, then that's allowed.
I don't have to detail every mundane moment. and it's probably better if I don't.
it's been so long since Ive exorcized these muscles and it feels really good to do so.
writing tip: searching "[place of origin]ish names" will get you a lot of stuff and nonsense made up by baby bloggers.
searching "[place] census [year]" will get you lists of real names of real people who lived in that place.
one of my worst writing sins is abusing my power to create compound words. i cannot write the sentence "The sun shone as bright as honey that afternoon." no. that's boring. "The sun was honey-bright that afternoon" however? yes. that sentence is dope as fuck. i do not care if "honey-bright" is a word in the english dictionary. i do not care if the sentence is grammatically correct. i will not change. i will not correct my erred ways. the laws of the english language are mine.
Not the laws of the English language; the laws of classical epic poetry. What you're doing is making Homeric epithets.
Now put it into dactylic hexameter, and we'll really be getting somewhere.
Wouldn't that also be a Kenning, as seen in Beowulf?
It's not an ocean, it's a Whale-road.
Kennings and epithets are extremely similar, yes!
To my knowledge (and I'm not an expert in this, so someone who has studied it is welcome to correct me), epithets are usually used more like a poetic adjective to describe a noun included in the text, while a kenning straight up replaces the noun with a more poetically described noun.
So "the wine-dark sea" is a classic example of a Homeric epithet, with "wine-dark" describing the sea (but "sea" stays in the text). Whereas, "whale-road" is a whole replacement for "sea".
I think a Norse skald and a ancient Greek poet would get along great.

STOP BEING SELF CONSCIOUS ABOUT YOUR CREATIONS STOP SECOND GUESSING WHAT YOU REALLY WANNA DO STOP DEBATING IT'S WORTH. LET YOUR ART SERVE YOU INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND
Honestly as a blind person Iâm so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who donât use white canes or other guides. âThey have special powers so they know whatâs around themâ or âtheyâre confident enough to not need a guideâ are common tropes, and Iâm tired.
Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They canât use a cane because theyâre so special that they already know whatâs around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because theyâre not special?
Iâm tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Donât make white cane users feel ostracized for not being âstrong enoughâ to go without.
Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.
Tldr Iâm blind and tired of sighted people lol
đȘ Sighted People MUST Reblog This đȘ
I wrote another short story and this one is very short so it is definitely normal. It has no space to be weird.
How to escape the well
read this i am so serious because What The Fuck
Chase it out of your mind by reading another short story
fuck iâm gonna think about this forever
Ha ha, changed ya brain!
Every time I reblog this a whole new wave of people get mad at me
had a fascinating english class that resulted in the notes header âthe forcefeminization of victor frankensteinâ
what the people want, the people get
you see
my professorâs take is that mary shelley is feminizing victor throughout the novel, as a way of flipping gender roles and putting a male character through female experiences.
evidence as explained:
victor is creating life. he is putting his health at risk (spends two years with little sleep or socialization) to bring life forth into this world
his illness after he is shocked by the creature coming to life is akin to both âhysteriaâ and postpartum depression
he pretty much swoons, letâs be honest
henry clerval, a man who has been characterized as manly and heroic, has to chase after damsel-in-distress victor and care for him as he convalescesÂ
afterward, he hides what he did and went through, for fear that others will label him crazy and emotional and not believe him. sound familiar?
Victor in general is more emotional than the other characters and is constantly tempering his reactions to not be seen as irrationalÂ
the book does not otherwise have central female charactersÂ
Also, Shelleyâs mother died in childbirth. Itâs interesting, then, that Shelley presents the creation of life as something horrific and damaging. She parallels Victor with her mother.
in conclusion, Frankenstein (1818) by Mary  Wollstonecraft Shelley is one of the first examples of mpreg in English literatureÂ
I was not expecting that last line.
writers be like; anyone gonna write this story? and then not wait for an answer. and then not write it either
