Our Cleric: I didn’t see anything (screwed up his Perception and wound up with disadvantage) WHY ARE YOU BLIND Our Samauri: I was doing heroic things, I was supposed to baby sit ? YOUR EXCUSED HERE HAVE A MEAT BUN Our Thief: What do you think of this phoenix feather crown I stole. OMFG THAT’S A RELIC. My poor Wizard: -Internal Screaming- I left you alone for an HOUR.

Moon Festival
Uktar 30th 1370 DR Year Of The Tankard
It was the Feast of the Moon special in the realms for its ties to the goddess Selune. It was also special in Telflamm because it was a time of festivities and food. He would be lying if he said he was not fond of the food and the way that the lanterns glowed on these nights. Mask, or rather Muriss as he went by here. It was of course drow elven for Shadow, but few here truly spoke Undercommon and any who did might understand why one such as he possessed such a name.
Clad in regal clothing only the faintest hint of red showed through those at the Temple of the Masters Shadow, had indeed turned the place into something magic. The coy pond had fairy fire cast into it. The normally jovial sisters and brothers of shadow, pulled out their brighter gear. Mask, would have had he thought to entertain but that wasn’t why he was here. His fingers strayed to the ebon flute tucked neatly into his belt, along side of Stealthwhisper, maybe he would after all.
He was there for a particular reason of course and his eyes scanned the area seeking the pale haired woman he knew so well. If he had to sneak to pay a visit to the mortal plane or slum it, he would.
“Hey bard, play us something.” a importantly dressed man called in passing flipping a gold coin to the shadowlord. There was mild surprise but than amusement followed immediately after the second he caught the coin . He spun the flute in his fingers and brought the instrument to his lips, fingers going over the keys into a lively but haunting melody.
Still his eyes scanned the scene, which was becoming increasingly hard to do when people gathered to hear him play. Once the song was done, he twirled the ebon flute gave a short bow, and disappeared quiet literally into the crowd.
He would take a higher vantage to find her.

Playing In Shadows
As he spoke, Apaera remained silent, lowering her gaze once more on her hands. With her eyes closed, she listened to him closely, thinking through his offer once more.
In reality, she had already made up her mind, finding his offer quiet appealing. And the shadows.. She was never particularly drawn to either shadow or light, at least not in the literal term, but in his darkness, she felt weirdly welcome, wanted.
She took a deep breath, knowing he awaited her answer, and she pushed herself off the altar. Her wounds might have been shut, but the blood loss didn’t do much to stop the room from spinning once she stood.
She steadied herself with one hand, fixing her posture and once she felt confident in her ability to stand, she opened her eyes to look up at him once more. It was her want that allowed her to push herself beyond her limits, especially for such an occasion.
Now standing, it was apparent how small her frame really was, short and with narrow, yet well built shoulders.
“Your shadows feel welcoming to me. I want to join in on them. Please show me what else lies in them.” Her answer to his offer, her voice and her expression, they all matched his in seriousness.
@thelordofshadows
He was keenly paying attention both to her and the building as he had said once the building was torn down. Quick work for shadows such as his own. He would be gone from this spot. When he hunted he hunted. This had taken a different turn with Apaera here.
Mask glanced up to the bits of starlight that peaked in through the broken roof and his eyes found Selune in the night sky. She was waning, and the clouds looked as though it might rain. In fact, it was going to rain, he would at the very least give it a nudge in that direction. Thunderstorms often aided the faithful in their work at nights, as no one wanted to be out in the bad weather. He also, enjoyed the rain and thunder.
He did not move to help, not yet. She didn't need it and she wasn't his yet. She was her own person, she pushed herself and was standing and only than did he rise gracefully from the corner of the alter he had previously been sitting on. A hand came down and the sheer force of the movement cracked the alter and crumbled it. He chose a singular chunk of it, something in it shiny, and he tucked it away in his belt.
The Lord of Shadows simply reach out and took her hand. There was a sensation of warmth from his hand. As a protection from the elements washed over her. That the shadows around them all seemed to come to attention, to the command of deity. They swirled around he and Apaera, and within a blink of an eye. The world went into grey, black and red. Than shadow.
The two appeared in a large chamber wide, formed from dark stone. There were shadow mastiff's milling about and they treated the two like any dog would when it's owner had come home, a mad rush of puppy paws pounding on the ground as they came rushing to him and by extent his companion. "Hello Again." he greeted his tone taking on warmth as he addressed the dogs, a few quick pets were given and he motioned towards a great throne, above it floated a Mask gently rippling in wind that was not there.
"Your body, though you move by force of will alone is severely damaged, I can fix it, I can make you better, but I am giving you a choice, one I haven't given everyone." he thought of Cale and what had happened in the Fane of Shadows, or would happen, he already knew Cale's fate. "You can become one with the shadows." he motioned. "As I mentioned before, at the cost of some humanity---warning though, its not for everyone, and its dark in there." He waved a hand the illusion of the Mask faded and the Shadowlord dropped himself onto his throne in a carelessly graceful way though leaned forward to watch her.

My GM sent a note about an oriental campaign today, I sent him a warning, that I just finished watching, The Untamed, and he should be afraid--very afraid. He doesn’t know what he’s stepping into. >.>
He said it will be fine.
90% sure he will richly and deeply regret it.

I finished reading the Untamed Novel (Grandmaster of Demonic Culture) and I loved it. It fills in some of the blanks the webseries doesn’t.
Alleys & Backstreets
*For the prompt meme: Eat.* There have been very few quiet days where Apaera had the luxury to return home before midnight, today being one of them. It wasn't particularly early, the sun had already set, casting the city in shadows disturbed by the flickering street light. Taking the time to set most of her gear down, the woman would keep her armor and cloak on as she'd retrieve a couple of rations before heading back outside.
She'd wander the streets in search of a quiet spot and perhaps behind some sort of tavern.Turning the corner to find some pretty drunk guy she'd sigh, walking up to his side and carefully gathering her cloak to take a sit besides him, pushing a pack of rations in his arms while he was still folded in his position. She'd turn to pull out her flask to offer the man some as well pouring some on her hands to help push his hair back and clean his face in an attempt to sober him up a little.
Of course Mask slummed he had told her as much before her transformation, he did this more to keep an eye on the tiny details, as anyone one thing could alter or change something that happened in the bigger picture unseen or unheard by heroes. He was currently keeping an eye on a retainer of one of the Golden Swords from Teflamm. He knew they were trying to make their presences wider spread. Maybe sensing that the Lord of Shadow's was going to clash with them sooner or later, possible more sooner.
He had not expected for Apaera to be here.
So when a familiar swirl of shadows appeared in his alley, he of course recognized them. He had personally overseen her transformation. She had wanted this and he wondered what she thought of it now, now that she had given up some of her own humanity to be closer to her own revenge. He was going to ask but the woman disappeared off before he shifted from his tramp persona. Still he settled back and half closed his eyes to concentrate on what was going on in the Tavern.
He was aware of her return but didn't break character half his attention on the tavern the other half turning on the woman when her hand went near his face. His hair was long and the bangs fell into his eyes, dirt smudged his face he wore tattered clothing and hole filled boots, at least there was no odor around him. There had been no dogs here, so he was content to just appear as though he'd drank to much. The cool water against his skin however had him turning his head to look at Apaera, she had done well for herself.
This much was apparently. His eyes were a shade of grey that bordered on silver in this disguise, possible a hint of moon elven blood there. "Ah--thank you." he said taking the flask and sniffing it before taking a drink. "How strange to find young woman in dark alleys." he observed. Of course, Mask had to wonder if it was just his worshipers that did this, he didn't spare a thought to think it was because HE was always in the shadows of alleys.

Hello New Followers, Thank you so much for the follow, I got a burst of new followers recently -waves- I promise I do rp here. It’s not just memes or OOC X_X I am currently working extra shifts at the ER, as my job IRL is as a Nurse. I just wanted to put this out there, that I am not ignoring anyone. If I haven’t spoken to you yet, or if I timidly sent a meme to you, I will get to it. I am swamped with the number of hours, but people need help, and to be reassured and that is what I do.
Please remember to be kind to each other, we will get through this.
