I thought this was an interesting bit of information from the Chapman University. There are a lot more people who believe in some form of the paranormal than we may have thought. I always look for that rational explanation first, however when none is forthcoming we have to start looking elsewhere for our answers. Paranormal doesn't mean science wont be able to answer those questions one day, it's just that science cant answer them now. So, we call these highly unusual events Paranormal. It wasnt so long ago that some scientists insisted that the Sun travelled around the Earth! For now we know that these 'paranormal' occurances coincide with high EMF energy fluctuations, coincide with particular weather conditions. Investigators now have an arsenal of paranormal investigating equipment to use and results gained are of a much higher quality than say the 1990's. It's a hugely exciting time but you have to stay grounded and look for the rational reason for an event first. Sheesh. No sleep at all last night, or the night before, or during the day. I desperately need to sleep so that's my plane guys. I have gotta try and get some Zzzz's. It's a dreary, grey and rainy day outside my window today so I can't think of a much better place to be than snuggled under my duvet. I always have seriously intense dreams full of spiritual journeying. And I remember my dreams every time I do sleep too. I've never have trouble with that but sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. Finally the dust feels like it has settled on a brand new shinie year. And it feels good. The sun is shining and it looks like a beautiful day! I feel more settled too, less pained by Morgan's passing and stronger in myself. Without doubt it is not those things outside of ourselves where we find happiness, it is within ourselves. Being at peace with ourselves, and our true nature, is the fast track to finding inner happiness and contentment. Not worrying about what others think of what we do, say, think, feel, wear, play etc. Just do You! You are a bonafidi original. Completely unique, so it only makes sense that you should do your own thing to be truly happy. There is an ancient magical verse which is taught as a guide to live by (certainly in Wicca/Paganism), "Do as ye will, an it harm none!" Do whatever takes your fancy in life, whatever makes you happy, with one basic rule...that your actions never harm another soul, be that physically, emotionally, with words, intentions...it doesn't matter. It means you live your life much more conscientiously, empathicaly and with compassion. Beyond that... You do you baby. This.........is so true. Have you any idea how many years it has taken me to appear normal to you? It's exhausting. It's only been a year since I found out it was Autism that had caused me so much grief and struggle throughout my life, and that I was actually what would have been termed Aspergers (high functioning). Still I spent the rest of my life slowly drowning in the confusion of social interaction. It took me over 30 years of hard practise and painful failures for me to seem normal. So next time you say to me "You don't act autistic" or ""Your not autistic. You can talk to me and hold eye contact". The ignorance is woefully shocking. And those quotes have come from friends, people I've known for 10 years or more. Have we as a society truly become so blind to what the man or woman next to us is going through in their lives? Is that why we now have one of the most calculating and compassionless Governments in history? Are we a reflection of them or them of us? Next time your out in public take a look at the person next to you and just for a moment, try and imagine what hardships they may be enduring, what horrors they may have gone through and yet survived. Ask yourself if you care if you really do that for your friends. Its very easy to go out, have a great time together and the go home promising to catch up next weekend but... is that buddy of yours ok? Are they going through something that no night out on the town will fix? Don't be a friend who doesn't even realise that your buddy is autistic or, that your buddy is a little bit querky and is really struggling with day to day stuff. This isn't just about autism of course. It's about you, your loved ones, your neighbours, the strangers beyond the end of the road. It's about community, society. Empathy for one another. Let's try and get a hashtag trending this year... Leave judgement behind in 2017. A certain adorable but dopey someone was so deeply asleep this afternoon that she slid off the bed and hit the floor nose first. Lola has her first official boo boo of 2018. Awww. Poor baby. It seems she is a bit embarrassed that she fell on her own nose and bruised it but she still came paddling in for some Reiki. Lola is extremely good at communicating via imagery that she passes telepathicaly, so we can connect pretty well with one another. It meant she was able to tell me exactly where on her snout was bruised and needed attention and I used Tibetan Usui Reiki there for her. My sweet girl. I was also able to feel how much she is still grieving for Morgan who passed just before Christmas. If you ever thought an animal unable of grief then you are very, very wrong indeed. I've seen several pets go through the process when their fur - brothers and sisters passed away. It's heart breaking to watch but a little soothing and healing to their hearts can ease them through each day. Lola and I are helping each other through. We miss our friend but together we keep her memory alive in our hearts. Anyway...A little Reiki later and little miss Lolas nose is feeling a touch less bruised. Brrrrr! It's icey cold out there again. I'm convinced I'm about to go into Hibernation at any moment. The naturally urge to want to cave under my warm duvet is almost too much. My hands, when outside of said duvet, are like blocks of ice. My nose is frozen. That's with the heating ON. This is what a northerly wind will do for you I guess.
