he is the walk of shame personified, he is the thing that comforts and disgraces you all at once. when he wants to touch you, you think about all the other people his fingers have kissed and pretend that you are the last one. but youâre not the last one. but youâve been practising a lot. thatâs why you have such a good imagination. your best friend tells you not to love him anymore and you promise her that you wonât. you make a big show of it. you delete his number, you never say his name againânot aloud anyway. but you love this boyâ you are ashamed to admit it. but you love this boy. and he is not a good one either. he is not the misunderstood prince. this is the boy who ran from goliathâ who had a thousand swords to his name and couldnât raise a single one for you. but he looks at you like he would. he looks at you like he would. you try to convince yourself that this is enough. and sometimes it is.
