my favorite thing about the holly the heroic scene is that it implies that mike was intending to ask holly to play d&d with him someday. he wants her to be a part of this world of his, to understand his love language, to draw the same strength from it as he does. it’s so sweet.

It’s him trying to be the older sibling that Nancy never was to him…

I said what I said. As an older sister with younger brother, I’ve always hated the way Nancy treats (more like treated…it’s better in season 5 ig but she still acts like he’s stupid) Mike. Not hating on Nancy, just reading into why Mike is being so sweet to Holly.

And also I do like that Nancy was never a great older sibling (especially in seasons 1 and 2) because it made her a really interesting foil to Jonathan in season 1 and 2 who was like…the ultimate older sibling on tv for me (but he starts slacking big time in 3 and 4. Does he even talk to Will once in season 3?)

Also…last thing…love every Holly Wheeler scene this season. She’s giving Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth and blue dress adventure girls (Alice and Dorothy) which is my brand and I’m here for it.
