It was one of Dream’s good days.
When (Reader) woke up, they were found with an empty bed and a few eggs and sausages on a plate next to a glass of orange juice. The empty bed wasn’t a surprise. The masked man was almost always gone when (Reader) awoke. His cold voice claimed he had things to attend to and then he left without a trace.
(Reader) let out a yawn as they stretched their arms up over their head. They sluggishly got out of the shared bed and carried the plate of food to the kitchen.
Dream would most likely say it was okay to eat breakfast in bed. I mean, the man even left the plate by their bedside. Still, they couldn’t be too sure. It might make Dream mad and seeing him mad was anything but pleasant.
Not wanting to dwell on it, (Reader) quickly ate the breakfast and started on washing the dirty dishes. As much as they hate to praise the psychopath, they couldn’t help but acknowledge his talent in the kitchen. Sighing, they started drying the plate off with a nearby cloth.
. Why the hell are they accepting this? I mean, Dream freaking kidnapped them and all they are doing is standing here acting like a submissive housewife/husband/partner. This wasn’t supposed to be their future. Not here. Not with him.
What are they supposed to do? Run? It would do no good if the man probably had traps so they couldn’t escape. They could even have a tracker on them..
Plus they already tried to escape and let’s just say it didn’t end well. The man in green was as fast and stealthy as a hare. They gazed down at their legs, recounting the terrible memory of not being able to use their legs for months.. (Reader) had to rely on Dream for everything. It practically killed them. The man knew that and it filled him with so much joy.
How about killing him? Not worth it. He was stronger than them. Dream could overpower (Reader) without a second thought and he has. Hell, He could even kill them if he so desired it.
They made their way over to the living room to sit down. All this debating was giving them a headache. RUbbing their temple, their gaze began to wander to a table.(Reader’s) eyes locked on to the object on the table.. They’ve seen it a thousand times but never dared to go.near it.
They never even acknowledged it out of pure fear. What would Dream do if he caught them even thinking about escaping.
What if they just called their family. (Reader) and their family didn’t exactly have the best conversation before they were taken. They even screamed at their little brother. God, if they could just take back all they said to them.
Maybe, Dream would be okay with it. I mean as long as they didn’t tell them about the masked man and what happened. It would be fine right?
No, they couldn’t. (Reader) couldn’t even fathom the punishment Dream would deliver if he found out..
But if he didn’t find out, maybe they could finally get away from Dream.
A feeling of nausea swamped them as they stood up and ventured towards the house phone.
All the racing thoughts in their head came to a complete stop. The only thing that was left was the silent ticking of the clock in the background. They glanced up at it. Dream wasn’t supposed to be home for another few hours, so they’d be fine.’
They let out a breath they didn’t know they were holding as they picked up the old phone and dialed the familiar number.
They tried to calm their racing heart. (Reader’s) father would definitely be able to hear their panic state if they didn’t calm down.
They nervously played with the phone’s long bouncy cord.
“Put the phone down now.”
Their body froze. (Reader) couldn’t even bring themselves to turn around to face him
. “I’m not gonna repeat myself.”
They could already picture the man’s face contorting with rage.
The phone gave a tiny beep and a familiar monotone voice answered.
“Uh…Hello?” The monotone voice rang out.
It was Technoblade. Their older brother.
They felt something cold press against their back. Filled with fear, their head slowly turned around to see what it was. There he was. Dream stood threateningly behind them, his sword pressed up against their back. If they made one wrong move, the weapon would plunge through them without a second thought.
The scariest part wasn’t the threat, it was the fact that it was Dream. He wouldn't hesitate to kill them.
In a second, his strong hand roughly grabbed their chin and forced them to look up at his mask. He slid his mask to the side of his face to reveal his green eyes and sadistic smile.
The masked man’s heart was practically living off the fear their aura was admitting. He concluded that this was definitely better than any game of manhunt. It was accelerating. Especially the fact that after this was punishment time for his dear (reader).
Hot tears streamed down Dream’s darling's face as they repeatedly whispered sorry to him frantically.
“(Nickname), is that you?”
Both Dream and (Reader) froze.
Techno knew it was them. He must have heard their hushed whispers. (Reader) had a feeling that maybe, just maybe this was going to be a silver lining. The blade even used their nickname. That must mean something right. What if he still cared?
Then that would mean Dream was wrong.
The blonde-haired man cursed quietly. Reader’s throat ran dry. They couldn’t say a word. Not only was (Reader’s) psychotic “boyfriend” standing behind them with a sword to their back, but they were having an impromptu conversation with one of the people they hurt.
God. They were such an idiot.
Dream grumbled and quickly stuffed his sword into his inventory. He then wrapped his arms around (Reader’s) waist. Leaning down, his husky voice mocking them.
“ Aren't you gonna respond, (Nickname)”?
Reader’s strained voice quivered as they responded with a few frantic nods.
“ Where are you? I’m coming to get you.”
Panicking they began rushing out words to assure him they were fine.
They never told Dream of their relation to Philza Minecraft and his children. (Reader) didn’t want him to hurt their family, so they kept their mouth glued shut. They knew sooner or later the lie would catch up to them. They just hoped it wouldn't be this soon. Apparently, the gods had other plans.
“Whose on the phone blade?”
If this call with Techno didn’t get them in trouble then even the sound of their younger brother's voice definitely would.
“Hello, Tommy.” Dream spoke calmly, an entertained smirk resting upon his face.
“Dream.” The younger's voice hardened as he heard the green man’s voice.
The masked man gave their darling a tight squeeze around their waist. (Reader) took that as a hint to speak. Who knows what would happen if they didn’t do what the man in green asked. Not something good.
“Hey…” They whispered trailing off. An uncomfortable silence followed.
“(Reader).” Tommy’s voice was filled with so much disgust and resentment that it felt like their heart was broken in two. Their little brother hates them and it’s all their fault. They could practically hear the voice of Dream in their head reinforcing their darkest thoughts.
Their body began to shiver. . They couldn’t tell if it was from their fear of the repercussions of this dreaded phone call or the regret that is currently plaguing them.
Another silence caused (Reader)’s anxious thoughts to flourish.
“What’s going on?” Techno’s monotone voice spoke through the phone.
The blonde boy scoffed loudly. “Isn’t it obvious, they fucking left us for a manipulative bastard Teletubby.”
“Let them explain to Tommy.”
“Thanks, Techno.” (Reader) whispered softly.
“Um…” They fidgeted with the phone cord as they contemplated what to say.
Then an idea hit them. They’ll tell the truth. Now they couldn’t possibly tell the whole truth about Dream but maybe they can tell just enough that one of them would understand. Maybe, their family could save them.
Once again, Dream’s voice nagged in their head again. Dark thoughts about their family abandoning them or simply not caring corrupted their brain.
(Reader) made up their decision. They took a deep breath.
The truth is… I was angry. I mean you all treated me like a baby. You’d never let me train with you guys. You’d never let me help. You treated me like I was a kid.”
“You were . We simply wanted what’s best for you (Reader). Their father’s voice. He’s there. The winged man spoke softly. Almost as if he was approaching a puppy that’s been kicked.
“” I know, but I just felt disgusted. I was unloved and unwelcome so I left. I gave you all a blessing in disguise. You all wanted me to leave anyway.” A sob could be heard as more tears began dripping down their cheeks.
“We never-” A deep voice blurted out only to be cut off harshly.
Another deep breath was heard over the phone
“ I was all alone and I was scared. Then, someone saved me. He gave me everything I could ever ask for. He even built me my dream cottage. Most importantly, he gave me love. Which is more than I ever got from you guys.”
Their minds were spinning a million different ways. Hopefully, Techno would recall the place where (Reader) always planned about their dream home being. Then he could save them.
“He’s a monster. He’s manipulating you (Reader). Can’t you see it. He doesn’t love you. He doesn’t love anyone. He’s Dream. ” Tommy’s voice rushed out, trying desperately to convince his sibling.
“No. He loves me and I love him. Don’t even think about talking about us. Don’t come to visit us. Don’t even think of us.” They spit harshly before hanging up the phone.
The tears continued flowing from their eyes as they whipped around and cried into their “lover’s” chest. They could hear his heartbeat pumping.
(Reader) was so conflicted. They didn’t know what they wanted anymore. Did they want to stay with Dream or did they want to be disowned? Gods their head hurts.
They looked up to see Dream trying his best to hold in a wicked smile. His eyes were filled with mock sympathy. He gently guided them up the stairs. It was time for their punishment
