I dunno if it’s because I marathoned the last 4 episodes last night at midnight while high but through all of the drama of the show this was the moment that had me in tears:

I don’t know if its:

a) the way Yoon Won realizes what she did in asking two people who’d just experienced something extremely traumatic to come in and spell it out for her for the sake of the surf club (a thing that is mainly her own personal investment at this point)

b) the way she breaks down afterwards about everything going wrong in her life (student loans, job rejections) I assume she thinks she deserves it for being so awful as to ask people to recount their trauma for her benefit

c) the way Jae Won, who up until this point has been spiralling, snaps out of it for just a second to comfort her

anyway it was a great scene.

I recently start seeing Vanitas no Carte, and I absolutely loved it. I have seen some screencaps of the anime, but I never imagined that the story was going to be like that. I don't know what I was expecting. All of the characters are really endearing and complex. I love Vanitas, because he is really insane, but at the same time, I would hit him if I had the chance.
