3 Oaths, 4 Prayers
Oath of Devotion Prayer, said when Dawn Breaks
“The night is behind me, and the promised day comes. I am cold with the memory of darkness, so I reach for the light. I devote myself to being the newborn light, I will not let darkness define me. For virtue, I will seek my better self. For love, I will open my heart. For hope, I will bleed the light through.”
Oath of the Ancients Prayer, said when the sun is highest in the sky.
“The Sun has reached the zentith. All that is good and beautiful are revealed in light. But brighter the light, the deeper the shadow. Our watch never ends. For the world, I will grow. For peace, I will bring us closer. For light, I will not fade.”
Oath of Vengeance Prayer, said when the Dusk Falls.
“The day is behind me, and the long night returns. I am burning with the emotion of the sun, a blade cutting into dark. I will avenge the dying light, I will rage at the tide of shadow. For victory, I will sacrifice without fear. For the deserving, I will destroy evil without mercy. For the death of evil, I will burn like a dying sun.”
The Shared Prayer, said though the Long Night
“The shadow waxes strong, seeking to devour light. The Darkness is mighty, its power patient. We are not patient. We are the fire of the light. We will burn out, and banish the dark only for a time. We pray that the Light returns and fulfills its covenants.
The Darkness always returns. So will we.”
