too tired to articulate this but the current situation in los angeles perhaps most clearly demonstrates that a major part of the trump admin's MO is an attack on cities. the ICE raids are just part of it. physically, politically, idealogically they are trying to strip cities of all civil autonomy. conservatism has always been deeply disgusted by the city, especially these big multicultural metropolitan centers like los angeles and new york – by their nature cities are communal, collectivist, diverse, anti-individualist. undermining the city has always been part of the conservative agenda, whether through redlining and gerrymandering or other practices, but now they're getting more aggressive with it. we saw it play out during the protests in Ferguson and nationwide in 2020, and it's just going to ramp up from here.

We are pleased to have you join us for the 2025 -2026 school year.

Amid rising tensions in the Wizarding World, the school continues to operate as normally as it can. Professors are encouraged not to mention the war brewing, although it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. Even the ever-mischievous Marauders, now in their 5th year, are unable to completely disregard the worsening conflict.

Many are picking sides. Still, as impossible as it may feel oftentimes, students are encouraged to be just that – students.
