I just learned that the Louvre heist was most certainly done for some rich collector, the jewels won't make it back to their original country. Apparently history says most heists like this happen because someone like Trump or Bezos wants them for private collection, some underworld criminals are hired to rob the museum, and the jewels are not gonna be seen possibly ever again :(

I mean at risk of sounding like a huge cunt I'm not sure what about the theft led you to believe that it was committed by kindhearted good guy thieves with noble aims. usually when people steal things they are in fact trying to make money. extremely high profile theft of easily identifiable jewels isn't generally a good strategy for repatriation. like I'm sorry but Leverage isn't real.
