I had no friends for the last five years of my life. I was the only visibly queer person in my entire uni program and felt so alone surrounded by straight, neurotypical women who could never seem to understand me. I spent so many nights wondering if I would ever find my people or if I was just meant to be alone for the rest of my life.
Anyway, yesterday I spent hours lying in a hammock with someone I met through a queer organization in my new city. We got coffee together, listened to music, talked about everything and nothing. We're going to pride with our entire friend group tomorrow. I'm not alone anymore. I just want everyone reading this to know that you WILL find your people. You ARE a person worth knowing and caring about.
that sounds delightful can we come next time!
glad you're finding your people :)
