What makes a runner a runner? I was doing my bi-weekly run this morning, it was harder than normal. I was sucking wind at .80 miles. I wasn’t into it and my body seemed to know. I started questioning myself. I thought I was a runner, I can run a 5k in about 30 minutes and I’ve completed a 10k plus Spartan races. So does that make me a runner? In high school, I ran track but was a short distance runner. My longest race was 400m. Does that make me a runner? So how do I answer this question? What I do know is that I changed myself from short distance to long distance, I found a pace I’m comfortable with and I fluctuate between running a mile in 9:30-12 minutes depending on my mood. So I guess I can say that I am a runner, I mean; I run and I enjoy it. However it’s not become an obsession or a way of life yet. I guess when it comes down to an answer, perhaps just the act of getting out of the house and running, even 1 mile; makes you a runner. It’s been awhile since my last post, so here’s an update. I still love my #shakeology and I still workout with BBOD and am about to restart #80dayobsession however, my upline diamond coach has left and my up up line coach left. We are stuck with someone who hasn’t even acknowledged our existence, but makes money off us regardless! Many very successful coaches left Beach Body for other opportunities. I’m still into helping people lose weight and live a better life, but I’m more focused on my own health and fitness and my families as well. I also feel like only one beach Body trainer is active, #autumncalabrese so I’m not sure if BB is going through some internal changes. I don’t feel the buzz and positive energy that once filled BB. Day 1 phase 2 Bootay!! Oucha ma goucha!!! Tough workout!! Time for nutrition! Two eggs scrambled with bacon, shakeology w/ 1/2 banana for breakfast and morning snack. Lunch is a garden salad with three grape tomatoes, cucumbers, cranraisons and rolled turkey/pepperoni topped w/low carb blu-cheese dressing. Dinner is chicken breast w/asparagus topped with home made low carb Alfredo sauce! Afternoon snack is carrots w/low carb blu-cheese dressing to dip! Before you ask, no this isn’t a 21dfx meal plan.
