Hello. My name is Josie. (Kind of a stupid name if you ask me.) Iv'e never really liked my name. I guess I can't imagine my name being anything different, but i'm still allowed to dislike it. People naturally assume alot about you based on your name. What kind of person do you think I am? I guess It doesn't really matter, because I'm supposed to tell you that part. I don't really know what KIND of person I am. I’m pretty sure I fall into the basic white girl category. Truth be told, I am not really that interesting at all. I am a very normal teen girl, living in a rather ordinary town in North Carolina. (Not a very good place to be if you want to change the world huh?) Sorry, I’m getting ahead of myself. I should probably start with the basics. I am 14 years old, and i’m in 8th grade. (I’ll be going into high school next year.) I live in the US, and I want to do something with my life. Like REALLY DO something. I don't want to mindlessly plod along though the world with the other walking corpses that i’m constantly surrounded by. I don’t really know why I decided to start this blog. Maybe I just need a secret little place in my life where I can put my thoughts without having to constantly worry about what everyone else thinks. Where I know that someone like me might be listening. So dear reader, please sit back, relax, and take a peak inside the life of a very normal, rather ordinary, teen girl.
There is this one girl that I actually DESPISE most of the time, but im always super nice around her and she and I are besties. I love her, but I HATE her. She can be SOOO self absorbed. god.
Adults expect so much from our gerneration. I dont undertsand how im supposed to act like an adult all the time, but not get treated like one. They want us to grow up, but not be entitled to the same things that they are. It’s “thier house” until we have to clean it top to bottom. Its “start comunicating with the ourisde world instead of constantly being on the damn phone” and then its, “Stop going to parties you have to prioritatze your future”
If you want us to be so indepedent, please take your hand off the strings you manipulate us with.
And its funny, because it Its always somehow “because of the phone” IM SORRY THAT WE DONT HAVEN IT THAT EASY!!! We cant keep living like this. The world is so harsh to us as it is.
THIS is why we are the stronger generation. Because of YOU. We have been broken and put back together again more times than we can count. If we were running the world already, things would be so much better. We have suffered so much. Start treating us with some respect. Because one day, we are going to thank you. Thank you for helping us see how utterly flawed and broken we are. Guess who we get it from?
I've always been a "try for things" person, but I do like watching things sometimes. It's nice to be able to observe and not be the main character all the time.
I hate social hierarchy. I'm just confused at how everyone loves the popular basic white girls who's only personality is being in the Volleyball team. Like, how did YOU get to be popular? You're dry af.
Sometimes other peoples happiness bothers me. I know I shouldn't say this, but...
There is this one friend I have who is one of my very BEST friends. She is new this year, and she's always been really nice to me. But her main obsession in life is boys. Her boyfriend is her absolute #1 and she's in a really serious relationship. She's always so happy with him, but she's even happier when she's SEEN with him.
It's like nothing else matters.
It's like I don't matter anymore.
She also hangs out with the popular kids and she got invited to this big party after the dance.
But the one thing that REALLY got me was when she said "I'm one of the boys" the other day.
Like, they are NOT your friends! At the end of the day who is going to have your back? We are. I don't understand. She only likes me when she needs something.
Like, why do YOU get a good life when I'm struggling so much. It's not fair.
Right now i’m sitting on the floor of my room drinking water out of a mug. I don’t know why. Its probably stupid, but things feel so much nicer when you use a mug somehow.
