I told God, “I’m lonely.”
“I’m the Friend who sticks closer than a brother,” came His tender response.
“I feel unloved.”
“I loved you first. I have loved you with an everlasting love.”
“I need strength.”
“I am your strength.”
“I have no hope.”
“I am your hope.”
“I’m restless.“
“I am your rest.”
“This sin and temptation is more than I can bear.”
“But, my dear, I am He who bore your every sin and temptation. (My grace is sufficient.)”
“I’m not sure how much more of this I can take. I’m so weary.”
“I am your burden-bearer. I will carry it for you. (I will carry you.)”
“I’m falling.”
“I will catch you.”
“This is impossible.”
“I make the impossible, possible.”
“I feel lost.”
“I’ve already found you.”
“They rejected me. They left.”
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
I told God, “I’m not sure…I just feel very stuck. I want more.”
He smiled. “I AM more.”
