The ancient texts were true⊠They DO have a reaction image for everythingâŠ
Laura Aguilar is a Los Angeles-based photographer whose work mines the intersection between feminism, body image, queer politics, and latinx identity. Her earliest works depicted latina lesbians in intimate portraits, calling to mind the frankness of Catherine Opie, while her best known series features self-portraits of Aguilar posed nude in the California desert landscape. These photographs are instantly striking, finding in the artistâs body formal elements that echo the landscape itself, as in its doubling here with the giant rock that eludes the frame. Aguilar also forces our gaze onto a body that does not conform to stereotypical images of latinx or feminine identityâa body type that is not so much othered as invisible, despite its ubiquity. The artist originally began to produce these photos as a means of grappling with her own issues with weight and self-acceptance, but quickly came to see them as something more. They offer a profound, ambivalent vision of woman and nature. We see Aguilar dissolve into the landscape in search of anonymity, at the same time that she reclaims the pride and beauty in her body far removed from the society that rejects it.

Whenever people ask me "why don't you know xyz, it's so popular" well see it's because
I literally live in south east asia
Do I need to do this too?
The longer it takes for this to come across your dash the funnier it is
Which will fade first? Memories of the Area 51 "raid", or memories of Internet Explorer?
How important is representation in [Franchaela's] love story?
i love lowland streaked tenrecs because theyâre like if a mammal was a caterpillar
look at this thing. the animal
Wow. Wikipedia image not any less mammal that is caterpillar.

It looks like theyâre dropping a teaser trailer for the new Harry Potter reboot tomorrow
Just a few important and gentle reminders:
đ«¶đ» DO NOT WATCH THIS FUCKING SHOW đ«¶đ»
If you claim you support human rights - not just trans rights but human rights in general - yet still plan to watch this show, unfollow me. Youâre a fucking hypocrite and I donât want you following me.
Do not watch it even if youâre hate watching it, it still contributes to streaming revenue and views!
The adults in this reboot of the franchise are FULLY accountable for choosing to do this show and accepting a pay cheque over supporting a minority group. Even if they claim they support trans rights, theyâre cowards and donât actually support them at all.
The kids do NOT deserve abuse or hate, whether itâs because youâre comparing them to Dan/Rupert/Emma or because youâre boycotting due to the authorâs views. They are literal CHILDREN.
Your nostalgia over a childrenâs series about kids going to school is NOT more important than trans people being respected and having rights. As long as JKR is still alive, she profits off of this.
And, just so you know, JKR profiting off of HP has DIRECTLY led to the disintegration of trans rights in the UK.
For example...
It follows an announcement in December that transgender members would be banned from joining.
From yestersday. This follows on from the UK supreme court ruling last year that equalities laws would be based on 'biological sex only.'
That supreme court ruling got through, not because 'everyone believes in it.' But because JKR directly payed MASSIVE amounts of money into right wing thinktanks, politicians, and TERF influencers.
Harry Potter directly funds transphobia and anti-trans laws in the UK.
She pours her money into the J.K Rowling women's fund. Meaning Harry Potter revenue directly pays for right wing transphobic pearl clutchers to take trans people to court and to stamp out the rights of trans people in the UK.
It is also hurting cis women in the UK because now we're all fucking paranoid about being 'transvestigated,' being abused in public (for 'not looking cis enough') or being denied services because some snotty billionaire decided she gets to decide who is or is not a 'woman' (based entirely on her weirdo, white, billionaire-class definition of the word.)
I need to remember that 90% of the people discussing politics on here are basically operating at this level of historical literacy.
i love this reply in particular
late night reminder to self: your depressive episode will not last forever. it will have an end. tonight will not be the end of you.
Hey guess what i saw this a few days ago when i was in an absolutely scary slump and then i spoke to my counsellors and did what they told me to do and now i feel so much better. So this is true. Reblogging for more good luck
why is this so beautiful in like a space way
Because the essence of humanity and life as a whole is a constellation of connections with one another. We are all here in this cosmos together, from the tiniest creatures to the distant stars.
You're not alone.
you got lots of company, and you're gonna be okay đ«
I showed this post to my boyfriend and he tried to take his shirt off like a girl andÂ
uh
yeah
Out of the 82k notes my post got this is by far the best comment holy shit thank u for being u
So i tried it both ways and uh
i mean how do you do the first one without pulling out all your hair?
this made me laugh really hardâŠ.
and it made me realize that girls and boys pull their shirt off differently. /amazed
but seriously I think girls just do the cross arm thing because of HAIR like demonstratedÂ
So one year, one URL change, and a hair cut later, I decide to try again⊠FOR SCIENCE!Â
Its not science unless you write it down soÂ
First method:
Well done, i guessâŠ
Second:
I fucked up
Girls⊠how?
I DONâT UNDERSTAND HOW WE CAN HAVE SUCH DIFFERENT WAYS OF TAKING OFF SHIRTS AND SO MUCH DIFFICULTY DOING IT THE OTHER WAY
I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!
Itâs all in the way that girl/boys shirts are made.
Girls shirts have less armpit room then boyâs do and are generally shorter so pulling it off over your head is more practical because by lifting your arms all the way up you make enough room for the sleeves to just slip off.
Boys shirts have more room and are generally longer so it is easy to slip them off over your head.
but if you take a girls shirt off like a boys shirt you will get your arms caught because there isnât much armpit space.
and if you take a boys shirt off like a girls shit you will still have your head in it when youâve lifted your arms all the way up because of the shirtâs length.
It has nothing to do with us. It is entirely to do with how our shirts are made. I figured it out for you. YOUâRE WELCOME!
bless you
look what is back on my dash. Jesus.

I, A Trans, am confused.
I have been wearing menâs/unisex t-shirts for a long time, and as of lately menâs muscle tanks as well. I remove them by the Girl Method and never end up with the âmy head is still in this shirtâ problem.
Perhaps I am unconsciously compensating somehow?
aghhhh we're melting ahhh i bap you ok the head
