How much was Sprig at fault in Spider-Sprig?

Sprig Plantar, an anthropomorphic frog who just turned eleven (frog and human years are the same here), watched a Spiderman movie and wanted to be loved by people in the same way Peter was. So, even though he’s in hiding from the government on account of being a walking talking frog (complete with extra dexterity and a long tongue he can use to grab things), he made himself a little suit to go outside and be a vigilante with.

He impressed the neighborhood, but in doing so upset the old man who had dubbed himself protector of the neighborhood (and had just tried to write a ticket for two kids selling lemonade without a permit, the oldest of whom was eight). This old man swore vengeance upon Sprig, and when he found a robotic arm with lasers and claws became Sprig’s version of Doc Ock.

They had a big fight, endangering a lot of people and destroying a lot of property. Important to note: Sprig caused no property damage himself, but he did essentially respond to having a villain come after him with “this is awesome!! If I have a villain, just like Spiderman did, then everyone will love me like they loved Spiderman!” and proceeded to insult and provoke his enemy. However, his Doc Ock caused all the property damage, instigated the fight, and was picking a fight with a boy whose age he didn’t know (the news outlets covering Sprig’s vigilante person dubbed him as around eight years old, but no one knew for sure other than those who knew Sprig).

Who is to blame?

With Great Power comes Great Responsibility. Sprig is completely to blame. 100%

Sprig participated in the fight willingly and eagerly. He’s 80-99% to blame.

Sprig wasn’t supposed to be outside. He’s 60-79% to blame.

Sprig intentionally escalated the fight for his own gain. He’s 40-59% to blame

Sprig did escalate the fight, but he caused no actual damages. 20-39% to blame

Sprig did escalate the fight, but he’s young and irresponsible. 1-19% to blame

Sprig is 11 and not responsible for a grown adult’s behavior. He’s innocent. 0%

cannot believe there are people who aren't familiar with the 2002 movie Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. it's not remembered as one of the animated classics of the early 00s because it's so different than other beloved movies - no talking animals, no fantasy settings, limited comedic elements - but my god did it shine in so many other ways. arguably some of the best 2D animation ever created, outstanding soundtrack, an hour and a half of pure anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism in a kid friendly story about horseys.

The funniest thing about Dead Boy Detectives is how everyone automatically knows Crystal and Niko are teenagers. On multiple occasions, other characters question why they’re living on their own or why they don’t go to high school. But to me, they both look like they’re in their early 20s.
