I went to a con as Stephbin a little while ago and was giving these pins out to other cosplayers (mostly red hoods)

so I recently went to a convention cosplaying as Stephanie Brown’s Robin and the moment I stepped out of the car this little girl pointed to me and went “you dress up as Robin!!” And that absolutely made my day

Headcanon/Fic Prompt- Trauma Dominoes

I had this idea of the Batfam- probably dosed with fear toxin or something of the sort- having trauma responses that trigger the other’s trauma reactions and it just leads to the worst domino effect ever.

Bruce immediately launches into “protect your kids” mode, and grabs Dick because he’s closest.

Dick freaks out at being forcefully grabbed without warning and just lets out a god-awful shriek of “LET GO OF ME!!”

↓

The loud noise scares Duke, who panics and inadvertently flashbangs everyone.

↓

Put on edge by the sudden inability to see, Cass goes into fight-or-flight mode. And since she always chooses fight, she ends up with Tim in a headlock.

Tim, starting to panic at being restrained, begins with nervous laughter that quickly becomes maniacal as he fails to free himself from Cass.

↓

The laughter causes Jason to freak out, and he immediately moves to defend himself by grabbing one of his guns.

Barbara sees the gun and freezes up. By the time she snaps out of it and moves to disarm him, Jason’s no longer in front of her, so she’s moving towards Steph. Steph isn’t armed, so Barbara’s attempt to “disarm” her is just grabbing her wrists.

Steph panics and being restrained and tries to free herself, but Barbara has an iron grip and she just ends up elbowing Damian in the face.

In Damian’s drug-addled mind, all his conditioning goes out the window and just starts sobbing.

Hearing his kid cry sends Bruce into “protect your kids” mode.

So write that fic! Share that art! Make that tutorial! Sell that product! Film that video! Make that infographic! Sing that song! Print that model! Wear that cosplay! Create. That. Joy.

Be your weird little self and make your weird little content/products! If it brings you joy, I guarantee it’ll bring joy to at least one other person out there!
