Thank you Tumblr for being a safe space to come to terms with my sexuality. I'm not sure where I got in the spectrum, but I haven't been judged for not being a specific identity.
SELFSHIPPERS PLEASE REBLOG THIS POST WITH YOUR FAVORITE GIF OR PICTURE OR CLIP OF YOUR F/O!! OR YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF MERCH WHETHER YOU OWN IT OR NOT!! ANY FAVORITES!!
i want to see all of your beloveds!!!
Okarun going all out!
2025!!! As a cashier in a suburb, I am the target of several men's aim bc I'm friendly. Here's to another year of,
Him (50+yrs) "Do you have a husband?"
Me (44f) "No, I don't date though."
Him "We aren't ALL bad."
Me "I know that."
Him " ... " crickets
They wouldn't believe me if I said I were gay either, though. 50+ men are a different animal, I think. They only conceive of women who are straight and trying to get married. (I'm aspec)
My resolution is to be more social this year, but it won't be with these kinds of men, not even as friends.
I'm spending the l New Year's Eve with my pitbull, wearing my Akatsuki hoodie, watching The Cure Documentaries, drinking a RosƩ Prosecco, eating cheeses.
It's ok to be alone, and you don't have to be lonely. I've got anime and my dog keeping me company, plus Robert Smith's adorable personality in these interviews. Such a baby boy.
It's ok to be a solo act. It's ok to be a duo.
It's ok to be a super group.
It's ok to be.
Please, go and be ok.
This blog is NOT a safe place for
- trump supporters

- aphobes who donāt want to learn/grow
- aspecs that exclude other aspecs and donāt want to learn to be better
If you want to learn and grow, you are welcome here, but if you are just going to spit hate at us then get fucked.
I still have a habit of picturing myself cuddling with any new people I meet, just out of curiosity. I wonder if I'll meet someone who I will be attracted to romantically or sexually bc I lived most of my life trying to be attracted to people who were attracted to me. But it doesn't work like that. It's not healthy to wedge yourself into relationships that don't appeal to you. In my life the only relationships I have ever sought out have been one's riddled with narcissistic abuse. And I'm done with that. It's okay if I become attracted to someone, as long as it's not because they're a narcissist. I'm open to that experience, but I don't know what it would look like. What I do know is narcissism and how to spot it and I won't fail again to see it before it has a hold of me.
āi love being aromanticā i say as i feel my chest cavity rotting from the inside at the unquenchable desire for love in a way that is truly a secret third thing but its not a secret i want to keep it is a secret nobody is willing to listen to and im trapped in a state of isolation of my own making because no matter how much love i have to give it will never be enough. it will never be enough. it will never be enough.
official aromantic post
Tomorrow I'm being evaluated for what many think of as an extreme procedure to treat depression. I'm not sure how to feel. Am I to be scared, excited, hopeful, upset that it got this far?
I'm looking for some positive thoughts on this. The depression I experience has been treatment-resistant for years and it feels like there's no hope, and no reason to even try since nothing has been very helpful. What if this is just the state I live in forever? No ability to enjoy anything, extremely quick to cry, even about happy things, no motivation whatsoever...
I'm glad I've dropped the pressure to couple or be sexual, it really helps. And I've made a friend recently. But I feel pretty hopeless about these things anyway. I know it's the depression talking, but that's all that talks. There is no more endurance to stay positive. I just stay positive because it's logical to believe in the possibility of things.
Maybe I'll watch Naruto, ogle Asuma, and have a nap.
I love being able to share my most personal feelings here. Thank you for reading this far.
Trying to prove a point
REBLOG IF YOU THINK AROACE / aro/ ace PEOPLE ARE A VALID PART OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY , LIKE IF YOU DONāT
We have an "other" sexuality that doesn't fit the norm. We deserve to be seen.
People don't believe in asexuality. I accept that I'll always be flirted with bc I'm nice, I smile, and it makes me seem attractive. But I don't know how to express that I'm not interested. If I say I'm ace, they won't believe me.
If I say I'm not interested, they'll often turn on me and treat me like dirt.
Do I have to dress down and cut off my hair and look different from what I want to escape the daily onslaught of being hit on?
Am I being ungrateful? Am I supposed to feel complimented when a guy looks me up and down lustfully?
Can I get advice on how to feel because I was groomed to accept and respond positively to being hit on, but I no longer feel accepting. I feel disgusted with my own body when someone compliments it. I wanna hide.
How do you respond to unwanted sexual attention?
finding a hiding place for yourself
burn them with your laser eyes
ignore it
show appreciation for the attention
I feel free. I feel empowered. I feel in control of my body. For the first time in my life (44f), I feel in possession of my body and my sexuality. I think I was on the ace spectrum my whole life, but felt obligated to give access to my body to others. It sounds like such a ridiculous thing to do, but asexuality was considered weird and for weirdos. I didn't realize I was allowed to just not want to share my body with people. I have a long, interesting sexual history, full of experimentation and fringe tastes and I enjoyed SOME of it immensely (sometimes under specific circumstances I would later learn were unhealthy AF). It wasn't all bad, but much of it was others getting access to my body that I didn't want. I usually felt pressured, sometimes forced, and at times under duress.
But I will not do this any longer. I wish I'd understood my sexuality and personal needs better sooner, but it's ok to start from here. I'm excited to see what I can accomplish without having to give something of myself that I don't want to give.
Here's a little tiny dog too. She has a look on her face that's exactly how I feel.
Got a special like for my review over on Facebook! I know it might not be the real Kyle Gallner! DON'T RUIN THIS FOR ME! š
I once sat up in bed at 3am, remained basically asleep, sent a text that was carefully crafted, and promptly laid back down. I woke up the next day, knew I'd texted someone, and found this perfectly-worded gem.
I don't know why I thought "that was for someone else" was an ok excuse. WHO THE HECK WOULD IT BE FOR?!
Yes, I have a history of night terrors.
