Trans people deserve the same healthcare as everyone else and the autonomy to choose cosmetic surgery/hrt on top of that with informed consent if they are in a position to be able to receive informed consent. Trans people deserve to be treated humanely in day to day life and not be constantly asked invasive questions by strangers. Trans people deserve to be able to play sports, albeit not on teams specifically designed for the sex they do not belong to. They are people. And none of that changes the fact that you cannot change your sex which is the basis of people's sexuality. I wish more people understood that all of the above beliefs can and do and should coexist.

I HAAAATTE when people say “I don’t care what someone has in their pants”. It implies that homosexuals (and heterosexuals) CARE about genitals. I don’t CARE about vaginas, I’m not a freelance amateur gynecologist. I just have found that throughout my entire life, I’ve only been sexually attracted to people with vaginas (this type of person used to be referred to as a woman). I’m not like “oohh I’m so attracted to this guy, buuuutt he has a penis which isn’t my preference”, I just am not attracted to men in the first place. There are plenty of very kind, warm, open-hearted, accepting homosexuals out there I’m sure, although I’m not one myself and can’t profess to know many. I know this is obvious and probably not worth repeating but it’s so fucked up how many men jerkoff to the idea of sexually assaulting women they politically disagree with. My first ever perma-ban from Reddit was because I called this out.

A man (I’m assuming liberal) photoshopped Tomi Lahren’s face onto a sex doll and said that’s all she’s good for. I think she’s a racist POS, but that was the definition of misogyny. I went off and said “it’s hilarious how men on both sides objectify women and think rape and murder are appropriate consequences for disagreeing with them.”

The next day I got a message that I was permanently banned for “inciting violence.”

Liberal men do it to conservative women, conservative men do it to liberal women, and centrist/independent men do it to both. Men only have two insults for women: no one wants to have sex with you (you’re fat/ugly/a femcel) or everyone wants to have sex with you (slut/whore/etc).

Queer theory is so funny to me as African because I'll see all these people in the western countries trying to assign meanings to clothes and to pronouns and to parts of their personalities, they'll believe that changing their clothes or their pronouns or their language or their behavior will exempt them from misogyny. And while I understand that it is a condition of the System to keep us all separated, I can't help but bristle at the racism behind this all.

If any of these liberals had bothered to read, they would know that there exists many many communities indigenous to Africa whose languages don't have gendered pronouns, where clothing rules are different. Where men and women dressed the same, where the rules of nudity are different. Where men are effeminate. And in most, if not all of these communities, misogyny will still be rampant.

My community used to allow female to female marriages but all those women were still circumcised. My language does not have "she" or "he" but that did not save any of us from misogyny. My friend's community doesn't even have gendered slurs and she still had to run away when she was 11 so that she wouldn't be circumcised. There is no solution other than uprooting the whole system. Creating more categories does nothing.
