Looking for the Scenarios for the G1/IDW stories besides EiA?
Plot bunny where Platonic Yandere!Autobots story prompt, where YOU are part of a space crew to find a new suitable planet to live with.. But, unfortunately- your em field to the Autobots shows that you and your crew. . Are sparklings.
Yep, this is the 'humans-are-sparklings' trope!
Note: This trope particularly follows the 'Every-humans-are-sparklings', not the 'A-select-humans-are-sparklings'. If you have read the fanfics of this genre, then you know which fic I'm talking about... It's a great fic.
Also note:
All human characters have names that I'm keeping it vague, but still present in a way.
YOU or the READER is an established character already, and has a name I call them but will not use (until further notice) for this.
So uhh.. Yeah!
Oh and if you're wondering what's the name, it's Jamie.
Alright, on to the plot bunny!
___
You are a human on a spaceship, a rundown spaceship. You and your crew are looking for a planet to stay since Earth is nothing but broken husk (thank you, fellow humans).
When suddenly, a spaceship much bigger than yours appeared and followed your crew until your ship stopped to finally address the aliens.
After a bunch of you freaked out and put defensive shields all over your ship. Your captain realizes that the alien spaceship isn't even doing anything.
Instead, the aliens send out a.. Glowing cube of blue chemicals?
What?
At first, your crew tried to shoot at it- which is uhh.. apparently a bad idea since it immediately exploded. Which led to your crew to think that you're being attacked.
But the aliens, despite seeing your crew blowing up the cube. Send another one, this time, the cube is placed in a.. Metallic box? With a huge X written on it, and small doodle of an explosion with another smaller X written next to it.
.. Oh..
Well..
You guess it was not meant to be exploded.
The cube is as big as the tallest crew member but you all don't know what it does, but your researcher crewmates (including you) are certainly excited for it. Although your crew was confused, one thing for certain is true.
The aliens aren't hostile... At least that's what your crew thinks.
You and your crew readied yourself for a potential friendship to the new lifeform you have met, especially since THAT spaceship is the first alien your crew contacted with. Safe to say, you're excited.. And scared. The spaceship is BIG, ten-times bigger than yours, to be exact.
What if the aliens are tricking you all? What if they're gonna steal your ship for parts- or to eat!? And that's why, some of your crewmates have weapons ready. They're not much of a danger to the aliens, but you hope they're just the same size as you.
What you and your crew didn't know, is that the aliens are sentient robots.
Your crew couldn't believe it! Giant robots? Piloting a giant ship? Some of them even look vaugely human!
Your crew was so amazed (amaze amaze) by the new lifeform that you all didn't noticed the strange ways their eyes glinted at you all, and the way they looked at each other.
Your captain tried to communicate with them, but was met with head tilts. One of your cheerful crewmate waved at one robot, and was met with a wave of their own- at least the yellow one looked friendly.
Finally, one of the giant robots talked, but unfortunately- your crew didn't understand it. So your captain looked at the robot who first talked and tried to communicate with it by signs and charades. but was instead met with the robot kneeling down to her level and tilting his head.
After a while of failed interactions, the robots looked at each other in confusion, and your crew are now trying to salvage this potential partnership.
Luckily, your crew is filled with genuises on coding and technology and managed to debunk what they're saying.
"*Skrrk- beep, skreeek-* they were abandoned?"
"Abandoned- *skrrk-?* -So small? They don't- *skrrk* at all!"
"*beep- skrrk* -field is similar to us, but I have to agree with Ironhide, *skrrk-* don't look like us at all"
Look like us at all-? Oh, OH- they're talking about our race!
Was what one of your crew member said when they realized what the alien robots are talking about.
Immediately, your coder get to work. Typing rapidly on his laptop while the robots talk and whisper among themselves.
And finally-
"We are humans!"
Your coder shouted at them, and the robots stopped in their tracks and stared at your crew. Their glowing blue eyes locked in to each and one of you, you can practically hear the noises of what you think is gears and wires inside of their metallic body.
But the silence didn't bode well with all of you.
Your captain looked at your main coder for clarification.
"Did it work?" She asked him, "Do you think they understand?"
"We understand you just fine, little one"
The robot, the one who was kneeling in front of your crew suddenly said through the coder's laptop.
Your captain let out a small laugh as she looked at her crew members. Each sharing a smile, words of astonishment and celebration at one another for finally making your first alien contact.
Before your captain straightened herself to properly address the robots, who you assumed is their leader.
"Finally! Well, for starters. We are humans from the planet Earth" Your captain said, form perfectly straight and formal, while the robot in front of her nodded for her to continue.
"Earth? What solar system is it?" Another robot said, one with sporting a red chevron in his head.
"The Milky Way galaxy- uhh, sir" One of your crew who is in charge of piloting your ship's direction, said next to your coder.
The robot narrowed his eyes, "Milky way?"
"What's a milk?" One red robot asked to the one next to him, to which a different yellow robot similar looking as him, shrugged.
"We could send the coordinates to your crew, if you'd like to" Your captain said to them.
Another red robot walked closer to you, "You little ones can do that?" He asked with a smile, his voice coming from the coder's laptop for some reason- letting out a southern drawl.
"Yes, I'm sure we could find a way to deliver information. Given that we managed to decode your language" Your captain said with a wide smile, as the red robot chuckled.
"I'm sure you guys will" He said as he stared at the rest of your crew. His eyes landed on the crewmates holding the weapons.
"Uhh.." He pointed at the soldiers of your crew, "You might want to put those down, don't want any of you to hurt yourself with it."
They were hesitant at first, while some looked offended at the idea of getting injured by the guns they were trained for. But after your captain urging them to do it, as well as some of your crewmate gently pushing it down, they relented.
"Chill, little spark. We ain't gonna hurt ya!" A robot with a visor said to your crew, elbowing the chevroned robot.
"Quite the opposite, really" The yellow one, who waved at one of you, said with a chuckle. Standing next to him is an orange and white robot staring down at each one of you. The eyes of the robot getting narrower as he inspect your crew and the ship.
You wonder if the robot sees something wrong with the ship, judging by the look on his face.
"Oh," the robot who was kneeling down at your captain finally spoke, "My apologies, I am Optimus Prime of the Autobots"
He held out his hand to your captain, "And what is your designation, little one?"
Your captain smiled while she shook the finger of the robot, and introduced herself, and each one of your crew.
"Captain?" One robot said, a blue and red one with a surprisingly very prominent square eyes- said in surprise, the others sharing it as well.
Your crew in return, made noises of confusion. Some even rolled their eyes, you don't know what they're thinking but you hope they aren't assuming things.
Despite the reaction of the others, the robot- Optimus prime nodded, releasing the mask on his face as he smiled at every one of you.
"I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Now, what were you doing outside of your planet?"
Your captain was about to answer but she was cut off by the judgmental robot, "Don't you know how dangerous it is for any of you to be out in your orbit?"
Your captain sighed and grimaced alongside the crew.
"Our planet has been.. Destroyed, it became inhabitable for all of us, and my crew and- and many others has been looking for a planet similar to ours, to give our race another chance at a better life"
"Destroyed?" The one with the red chevron said in surprised, you notice that the others reacted the same way, "Who destroyed it?"
You noticed how the glow in their eyes dimmed.
"Well-" Your captain stuttered, shuffling at the sudden tension, "my fellow humans did.. Our supposed leaders who's job is to take care for their people, failed. And the next leader failed, and the cycles unfortunately continied"
The leader of the robots blinked, "I see.."
Optimus Prime looked back at his own crew, all of them shifting to look at their leader. Meanwhile, your crew started to shuffle around nervously.
What's even weirder is that none of them are saying something, unlike before where they practically talk over everyone of you. You can only see their.. Satellite fins on the side of their heads move slightly, and their eyes responding as well at whatever meeting they're having.
Internal communication system, is what your collectively realize.
"Ralph, did they say something?" Your combatant crew member asked to the coder.
"If they did, I should have decoded it by now- so obviously, not!" He gritted out as he tried to look for messages.
"Okay, calm down alright? They have been friendly with us from the start, they're not gonna hurt us." Your captain tried to say.
"How can you be so sure, Eve?!" The combatant asked, well- shouted. Loud enough to be heard by the red robot with a southern accent.
"They send, a glowing space cube at us!"
"You were the one who shot at it!" One of your crew member, the gardener, shouted back at him.
"How would I know it was a bomb?" He reasoned. In the corner of your eyes, you noticed something.
"Uhh.. Guys" You tried to say to them.
"Okay- calm down, Hector. They send us another box of that cube remember? The one where they put multiple warnings all over it?" Your captain reasoned, looking away from the robots.
"Guys-" You tried to get their attention once again.
"It could be a trap." He still reasoned, leaning down to your coder.
"They could have killed us right now if it was" The coder said, sneering at him.
"Guys!" You finally shouted, looking at all of them as you pointed at the robots who are silently staring at one of you.
All of your crew straightened up and tried to act as if they weren't arguing just then.
You swear you could see the aliens try and fail to stifle their laughs, and you're quite sure that your crew saw it too. Hector, your combatant- looked more embarrassed than the rest of you.
Finally, the leader.. Coughed? Do they even have throats- well, either way. Coughed, and knelt down once again to your captain who is trying to keep a professional look.
"What about your caretakers?" He asked, looking over each of you.
When your captain made a noise of confusion, he slightly rephrased his question "The.. Ones responsible of taking care of you.. Where are they?"
Your captain blinked in confusion, and so did the crew.
Caretakers? As in.. The one in charge of the planet? Huh.. They must have something like that on their world.
"We have.. Uh.." Your captain glanced back st her crew, silently asking for help. "We don't have any caretakers, especially when they realize that Earth was unsalvagable.."
The leader tilted his head.
Your captain signed, "After the last president and his, um.. Associates stole the ship that was meant for civilians and us, researchers.. We were basically stranded.." she answered, hoping that her response answered the leader's question.
You wonder if her answer actually has anything to do with what he asked.
Your ship's second in command stepped forward, saving the captain from further stress.
"We have been travelling for months now, moving from galaxies to galaxies, trying to find a planet that will help us, but we've had no luck so far"
Optimus prime went quiet for a moment, before nodding, "I.. See.." He said while he looked over the crew.
Your crew immediately noticed the sudden silence you encountered. One of your crewmate standing next to the coder even asked him if his laptop was having a malfunction. But the coder denied it once again and said it was perfectly working.
You looked back at the robots and noticed that they are looking at you all.. Very weirdly.
All have pity on their eyes, and all of them are looking down at your crew with such.. Sadness?
Well, it makes sense.. Probably. Your planet was inherently destroyed and all of you are practically homeless.
Suddenly, one robot stepped forward with a white and orange pattern. His face sporting a deep frown and an apprehensive stare. The same robot who was judging your ship from before.
"If that's the case, how did you survive?" He asked, lowering himself to directly talk to every one of your crew.
Your captain was about to say something but she was interrupted by a multitude of questions by the aliens.
Apparently, that particular question coming from their apparent leader send all of them in a frenzy.
"Wait- how long exactly were you travelling?"
"How many are you in this ship? I mean, I can only sense you guys but you never really know for sure-"
"Who are supervising you? Who takes care of each of you!?"
"Do you even have the enough energy for this trip?"
"How do you refuel-?! Do you sparklings even have enough to keep you alive!?"
"Who in their right minds would send all of you out!"
The amount of questions, voices and presence of the robots intimidates each and one of you. Too much so, that the laptop that was used by the coder fizzled out and nearly exploded from the amount of energy it suddenly have.
"Shit!" Ralph shouted as he tried to scramble and fix the laptop.
Your 2nd in command walked over, leaving your captain in front of the robots.
"What happened-?" He tried to ask when suddenly, a huge hand came above him and west past him- aiming straight for the coder.
"Woah- hey, wait!" Your crewmates shouted. At the sudden action, your combatants picked up their guns again and aimed at the robots. Immediately, their reactions is mixed. Some looked scared, while others are coaxing them to put it down using their hands to relay the message as they're now back on speaking beeps and statics to all of you.
The giant hand from before came from the white and orange robot, but instead of taking your coder away like you all feared, he instead took the laptop and placed it far from any of you before grabbing his hands and- inspecting it?
Turning it around, and poking it does seem like he's just checking it. And with the way the robot seemed, oddly stressed with the way his beeps sounded.. You almost thought he was concerned.
Slowly, one of your combatants lower their guns while the other, much more apprehensive one, kept it locked on the robot.
"Hector! Put that down!" Your gardener shouted while hiding behind the other combatant.
Finally, the robot put the hand away, leaving behind a very confused coder.
Unfortunately, due to the laptop suddenly short circuiting. None of you understand any of what they meant.
And they seemed to realize it as too.
The captain looked back at the robots with an apologetic look, and shook her head. Hoping that it will relay the message, and the robot seemed to understand as he nodded.
He knelt down in front of her and looked over to each one of us before saying something in their language once again.
He stood up, his head slighlty bowing as well as his crew. All of them showing different yet similar goodbyes as they return to the ship.
Before their gate closed, the leader looked back at your crew, raising a hand upward, palm facing outward, and made a subtle downward motion.
'Stay'
Before closing the gates.
Your crew looked back at one another before going inside your ship. Silent as you removed your protective clothes and went to the common room.
"Can we speak freely now?" Your gardener finally said.
Your captain, who still looked surprised, nodded.
It was silent for a moment.
"Holy shit"
And your crew bursted in celebration for making contact, with a group of friendly alien robots.
Hopefully, they can help you find a planet. Or better yet, rebuild Earth.
____
"So.. Did any of you catch that?"
"We all caught it, Jazz"
"I know, I know.. Just making sure we're on the same page here."
Prowl sighed as he placed the video he sneakily recorded during the entire time of meeting the humans on their holovid.
The room was silent for a long time, as they watched the recording once again.
Although the humans seems to act like adults. Holding guns, trying to talk professionally.
One thing is for certain.
Their fields, shows a spark..
Their fields, indicates that they are a sparkling..
Optimus sighed as he replayed the memory once more.
"We were basically stranded..."
Those poor sparklings.
"I still can't believe it.." Ratchet said while he stood over the table, scutinizing the ship and the humans on the holovid.
"How did they survive in that ship?! It's practically filled with botched paneling and wires!" He complained, he pointed at one particular human, the one who manages to decode their language.. Clever sparkling.
"And look! They barely look alive!"
Optimus will have to agree on that. None of the humans are clearly taking their health seriously. He's not an expert on organic, but he's quite sure that dull coloring on any life form is a bad sign.
"Optimus.." Prowl said next to him, he didn't even know he walked over.
"The sparks, they have those"
Optimus nodded, "I'm aware."
Prowl nodded as well, sitting down while the holovid changed. Instead of the humans, it showed a stellar map, showcasing all of the planets they inhibited and visited.
But instead of the familiar ones, it instead showed a new planet.
Earth.
"Their homeplanet is approximately 3 vorns away from their current position" Prowl casually mentioned.
Silence filled the room.
"And from the looks of it, it doesn't even seemed to be alive" Sunstreaker said after a quick observation.
"Exactly" Prowl continued, he then further expand the map, showing the destroyed planets of their galaxy, or what remains of it.
"Although.. With their existence of a spark inside them, there might be a.. Possibility.."
The Autobot present in the room stiffened.
"Possibility of what?" Bumblebee asked, leaning closer to the table.
"The Allspark.." Optimus answered, knowing exactly where Prowl was going.
Cybertron was created by the Allspark, from the smallest screw and to the biggest shuttleformer. But to have it suddenly disappeared after a battle, was not an ideal situation.
With the Allspark gone, they don't have the option to create new sparks. And with the war going on, most if not all mechs have removed their carrying and sire protocol to protect their potential sparklings.
Cybertronians instead became a dying race.
But with the humans' presence.. With their em field, and sparks..
It lit up their hope.
If Prowl was right, then the allspark must have been placed in that.. Earth. And if the Allspark created the humans and the life surrounding it. That means they can be saved.
Cybertron can be saved.
The humans.. Can be saved..
His Autobots must have felt the sudden realization coming from his field as they shuffle closer to Optimus
"So what now?" Jazz asked Optimus, a sma smile gracing his face.
"Are you kidding? Do you have to ask us that?" Ratchet replied, rolling his optics as he waited for Optimus' response.
"I know, I know.." Jazz laughed, placing a servo underneath his chin. "Just making sure we're all on the same page here.."
Optimus sighed and glanced at the holovid..
They can do better this time.. For the future of Cybertron.
Imagen with me...Cybertronians who were created in the war, like Bumblebee, Fulcrum, Hotrod, Smokescreen, The Jettwins, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Rumble, Frenzy, etc., given the opportunity to get an actual education on Earth, like this could be after the war and Cybertronians and Humans have a more amicable relationship
TBH...They wanted to know this "College Experience" as the young bots started to tell their superiors to come join them on these College tours, and college talks get really educated!OK, FINE, THEY WANTED TO PICK UP HOT HUMANS AND PARTY WITH THEM, AS COLLEGE PARTIES ARE SAID TO BE CRAZY!? NOT ACTUALLY GET EDUCATED!?
Too bad now the Olderbots come with them to make sure they don't, plus they do want them to find a career they might like to do...WHICH resulted in this mess-
Jettwins: Whoa, check it out. You can get credit for playing intramural frisbee golf!
Ultra Magnus: Okay, you can take a class on the Human Civil War
Sideswipe: Why would I take a class on something that's already happened? Look, you guys have already had your say. Now I want to try something that WE want to try!
Optimus, Ratchet, and Ultra Manus look at the younger bots, agreeing, and they decide to let them try which class to check next
Smokescreen: And I'm gonna make my choice as I always do, at random!
As Smokescreen covered his optics and tapped at the list of classes, his servo stopped on one class, which led them to Intro to Women's Studies, The Older and Young bots in a class filled with a lot of females and the occasional guy here and there, Other mechs or Femmes off in the back
Prof: As she was burned at the stake, Joan of Arc did not cower. She did not beg for mercy. She said, in a strong, clear voice, "I am not afraid. I was born to do this."
Autobots*Stare in awe as they listen to the professor intently, especially the young bots*...
Frenzy*In awe sitting next to Soundwave, completely enamoured with Joan* I want to be burned at the stake...
Rumble*Nods beside him, Intake wide open*...
Prof: Many societal institutions were established solely to oppress women. To this day, some feminists have even condemned marriage as a glorified form of slavery...
Megatron*In the corner, Arms crossed, agreeing fervently*Amen.
Once the class was over, a lot of the bots left very much into it
DJD
Nickle: That class was awesome.
Tarn: I wholeheartedly agree. If that woman weren't so violently opposed to marriage, I think I would propose to her
Scavengers
Misfire: Well, then, it's decided, Misfire will be taking "women's lasers."
Fulcrum, Krok & Crankcase: "Women's studies."
Misfire: Sorry. Primus, I cannot stop thinking about lasers. "Women's studies." Is there such a thing as "women's lasers"? That'd be my number one pick!
Sparked!Y/n*Starts to show your bot the interesting picture you took from your Woman study class*...

Y/n: So, like If you have offsprings there may be a chance that even if you don't want to, your spider mama instincts will make you sacrifice yourself to your babies!

The Autobots discover that you have grandsparklings
Warnings: Sentinel has nothing on you.

*While standing outside the Elite Guardâs flagship*
Jetstorm: *points at something* Brother, is that who I think it is?
The Autobots: *look to see you at a nearby store, holding a shopping bag*
Jetfire: It is!
You: *notice them, your eyes widening when you spot the twins*
Sentinel: Wait, you know that puny organic?
Jetfire: Of course, thatâs ourâ
You: *transform into your Cybertronian form, arms spread open for a hug and a wide smile on your face* Grandlings!
The Twins: *run up to hug you* Gran-Gran!
You & the Twins: *hug each other tightly*
Sentinel: *shocked, never having seen your human holoform* ManâoâWar?!
The Autobots: Grandlings?!
Bumblebee: Gran-Gran??
You: *release the twins* Oh, look at you two! Youâve grown so big! The last time I saw you, you barely reached my knee joints.
Jetfire: *proudly* And weâre in Elite Guard now!
You: Wow! Great job. Your parents must be very proud of you.
Bumblebee: *butts in* Hold up. These two are your... grandlings?
You: Yeah. Theyâre my grandsparklings.
Optimus: I didnât know you had family on Cybertron.
Sentinel: Or that you had sparklings of your own.
You: Of course I didnât. It was wartimeâI didnât have time to find myself a Conjux and try for a sparkling. But many sparklings were orphaned that time, so I adopted a few. The twins here are the sparklings of one of my adopted children.
You: But that doesnât matter. Family doesnât need to be made by shared energonâitâs made by spark.
Jetstorm: *gets close to you, whispering with a grin* Gran-Gran, last time the Elite Guard was here, Sentinel Prime, sir, got his head taken off by a human unit thing called a headmaster.
You: *grins* Oh really?
Jetfire: Oh, and one time, when we were chasing a fugitive to this island while carrying him across the sea. He ordered us to release him, so we did, and he fell face first into the sand.
Sentinel: Hey, hey, heyâletâs not get ahead of ourselves.
You: *chuckles* Well, can't blame you for doing what he ordered you to do.
Jetstorm: Yeah, but even when we do exactly what he says, he yells at us when it doesn't go like he expected.
You: Oh? *turn your gaze toward Sentinel*
Sentinel: *gulps nervously*
You: *narrowing your optics* Care to add to that, Sentinel?
Sentinel: I mean... well...
You: Because if I hear you've been mistreating my grandlings, I might have a little chat with Ultra Magnus.
Sentinel: *nearly sweating* I... donât think that will be necessary.
Jetstorm: Gran-Gran, since weâre hereâmaybe we could look around and see the cool human stuff we keep hearing about?
Jetfire: *excited by the idea* Can we?
You: *smiles* Oh, absolutely. Iâll show you the coolest human things this planet has to offer.
Sentinel: Wait, waitâh-hold on! They're my soldiers! That means I decide when they get a day off! Not you!
You: *narrow your optics at him* Well... I've already decided they can have a day off. And if it's such an issue, we can take it to Ultra Magnus. Iâm sure heâd love to hear how his second-in-command is trying to prevent one of Cybertronâs most decorated generals from spending time with their grandlings.
Sentinel: *visibly sweating, voice cracking* N-No! I-I mean, letâs not be hasty! Ultra Magnus is very busy! No need to bother him with⌠uh⌠family bonding protocol violations! Y-You know⌠maybe an educational cultural excursion on this planet isnât such a bad idea after all.
Summary: After some time, you finally meet Optimus's team and befriend them.
Warnings: reader being socially anxious, Ratchet having some old-fashioned dislike toward organics, and some fluff.
________________________________________________
-After reuniting with Optimus and making peace with the past, he began visiting you from time to time.Â
-He would tell about his day and in what kind of new shenanigans his team had gotten into, which often left you giggling.Â
-Through him, you learned a lot about his team, their names, their hobbies, and how Optimus met them after getting expelled from the Autobot Academy. It made you glad that he found good friends, especially the kind that can get him out of the âby-the-bookâ protocols.Â
-Sari also sounded like a good kid. Apparently, she now fully believed in your existence after you saved her and Bumblebee from that fall. Since she and Optimus were the only ones to see you, the team was still skeptical, though Prowl had made mentions of sensing your presence.Â
-Optimus softly tried to encourage you to meet them. They were his friends, so you can trust them. And it would probably do you good to finally speak to other bots, after years of living on your own.Â
-You promised that youâll meet them⌠eventually. You trusted his word, and they sounded like a good bunch. Unfortunately, your social anxiety was something you never quite got rid of. You were trying to gather the courage. Â
-Well, as time passed, Optimus revealed that his team was getting suspicious of his mysterious visits to your woods. He gave an excuse that he was patrolling to see if Blitzwing and Lugnut, the Decepticons that came to your woods that day, would appear again, but he wasnât sure how long the excuse would hold.Â
-You appreciated his respect for your privacy, and you knew he had never been the greatest liar. So, perhaps it was finally a good time to get out of your shell and meet his team.Â
-You two planned a place and time. You didnât want to meet them too soon because you wanted to mentally prep yourself, but also because you didnât want to startle them with your spider mode. You were still an abnormal being in cybertronian standards.Â
-However, when you were about to meet Optimus at the agreed place, you saw him get surprised by his team. You stayed in the cover and watched. Looks like his team got enough of the secrecy and followed their leader.Â
-You watched as his team questioned him, and even Sari teased him if he actually saw something and tried to catch a sight of the Guardian of Spiderwood.Â
-Optimus looked hesitant until he caught a sigh from you in the trees. You gave him a sign that could tell his team, easing his worry.
-â Well, youâre right. I do believe the Guardian of Spiderwood. Turns out theyâre an old friend of mine.â Optimus revealed.Â
-Bumblebee and Sari looked victorious but then confused, questioning what Optimus meant by an old friend.Â
-You then dared to walk out of the woods, making a few clicking sounds to let them know of your presence. His team looked at you, first startled, but then in awe as you revealed yourself in your spider mode.Â
-â Uhm. Iâm not sure spiders are supposed to be that big,â Bulkhead pointed out.Â
-â UhmâŚâ you began, your voice hesitating a little. â... Hello.â
-His team was surprised that you were able to talk. Bumblebee had a lot of questions. He questioned how Optimus ended up being friends with a giant spider.
-â ActuallyâŚâ you began, gaining their attention. âIâm⌠not just a spider. Iâm a bot too,â you said and then transformed into your robot mode.Â
-You stood tall, mentally nervous, and your extra limbs tugged against your back as Optimusâs team looked at you. You gave them a small wave and told them your name, hoping you didnât appear too nervous.Â
-Well, his teamâs reaction was not fully what you expected, but not unwelcoming either.Â
-Bulkhead greeted you casually with a wave and smile, introducing himself, as if you were just another bot.Â
-Prowl looked at you closely and identified you as the presence that was watching them in the woods the other day. You confirmed it, mentioning how he nearly got you in your hiding spot when he threw his throwing blades. You then tried to assure that you didnât mean anything foul by watching them.
-Prowl believed you and said that they were technically the ones who intruded on your home. He then mentioned that he was impressed by how well you had cared for your forest, leaving you a little flustered by the praise.
-Bumblebee was the one who asked the most questions, like how you knew Optimus, where you were from, and why you had a spider mode. He was a bit quick with his questions, so you couldnât keep up. Optimus told him to slow down, giving you the chance to talk.
-You then told them all a short summary of how you knew Optimus, how you became a spider bot, and how you came to live on Earth.Â
-With Sari, you kneeled to her as she stared at you in pure awe. She also asked a lot of questions and called you cool. She also seemed to pick up on your nervousness and realized.Â
-â Oh! youâre an introvert!â she exclaimed.Â
-â Uhm. Yes.â You nodded.Â
-She then told you to lay down your servo. Curious, you did as she asked and watched as she grabbed one of your digits and declared that you two were now friends. Confused, you glanced toward Optimus, who gave a thumbs-up.Â
-Not the most usual way of making friends.Â
-Well, after talking for a while, you were brave enough to venture into the city with them. You mostly walked around as you didnât want to startle the humans with your spider mode, knowing some could possess a strong fear of spiders. But, as Optimus said, the humans there, though some gave glances because you were a new robot, didnât pay much attention to you.Â
-Though big cities were not really your taste, you became curious enough to let the team show you around.Â
-You were even brought to the Sumdac tower, where you met Sariâs father, Isaac Sumdac. Sari told him that he would never guess who you were. Isaac didnât recognize you at first, but soon realized you were the infamous Guardian of Spiderwood. He then told you that you probably didnât remember him, but that he had once gotten lost in your woods while chasing a runaway goat.Â
-â Aw⌠yes, you had fewer grey hairs back then,â you answered, remembering him.Â
-You then looked confused as Sari giggled, and Isaac looked slightly flustered as he touched his greying hair.Â
-You were then brought to Optimus and his teamâs base, where you met their medic, an old bot called Ratchet. You introduced yourself, and initially, he didnât believe you were the Guardian of Spiderwood. Apparently, he didnât believe in myths.
-You then told him that you could show him and transformed into your spider mode.Â
-He was startled at first, causing you to feel bad and quickly turn back. He gave you a scan, and you revealed that you were half-organic. And he then went on about how such a thing should not be possible, and that you were an abnormal cybertronian.
-As Optimus had told you that Ratchet had a more old-fashioned view on organics, you were not fully deterred.Â
-You told Ratchet your theory on how you ended up mutated and that your ability might had something to do with it. You then told him that you saw nothing wrong with your state, that you were functioning just fine, and liked your version.Â
-Ratchet said that an ordinary cybertronian would have had something wrong in their processor for thinking like that.
-But despite your abnormality, Ratchet didn't kick you out, though he kept his distance.
-Optimus assured that he was like that with new bots, so the old medic's distance didn't bother you. You actually understood the elderly mech well.
-Your day in the city turned pretty fun, and at the end of the day, Optimus escorted you back to your woods. He mentioned how he told you so that his team was good. You admitted they were more welcoming than you expected, but you still decided to stick with your forest life. They know where to find you if they ever need help.
-Optimusâs team was pretty respectful toward your wish to remain in the woods; it was your home after all. They did make a habit of visiting and inviting you to hang out with them.Â
-Though Prowl appeared nonchalant most of the time, he was easy to talk to when it came to nature and animals. You sometimes end up talking about the many spiders, birds, and other species of animals in your woods with him. At first, you were worried you were boring him with your info-dumping, but he assured you that he liked listening and considered you quite an expert.
-You sometimes show him the animals that were used to bots in your woods. He seemed to enjoy it the most. He was also very gentle with the little spiders.
-It was pretty easy to bond with Bulkhead. Though he was big and pretty formidable-looking, he had a gentle spark and had a hobby of painting. You showed him places you've seen human painters paint in your woods. And showed him some pictures and portraits that had been forgotten.
-Sometimes, you even participated in creating art with him. You weren't much of a painter, so you mostly used leaves, twigs, and pebbles you found in the woods and glued them to the canvas. Bulkhead was very encouraging, even if your first art piece didn't look too good.
-Bumblebee was skittish around your woodsâ spiders and clearly wasnât a bot of nature. Though you often didnât get his jokes or struggled to keep up with his energy, you found his presence refreshing in a way. He was like the person the humans would describe as "an energetic little brother" of the team. Â
-You taught him and Sari that most of your woodsâ spiders were harmless and not even venomous. And that the only venomous spiders in your woods were pretty reclusive and shy. You even got them to hold a few in their hands and show them that Earth spiders werenât really that scary.Â
-You even joked a little about how the spiders in Archa Seven were much more hostile and less friendly, even capable of cannibalization. You may have unintentionally scared them with that information, but it helped them get over their fear of spiders.
-Guess, you managed to befriend them in a way, because you sometimes visited them in the city and helped them with their tasks.
-You and Sari bonded easily. She was a good kid, though daring and a bit too confident of herself at times, but so are most human kids you've seen. You would spend time with her when the team was busy being the heroes of Detroit and stuff like that.
-Sometimes she liked to take a nap on top of your fur, and most of the time, you let her.Â
-One time, when she was cold, you measured her size with your digits and then quickly knitted her a jacket using your silk and thread. You made it so it's soft on the inside but insulated enough to keep out the cold. Sari thought it was especially cool.Â
-You knew how to make some human clothes because you had inspected some of the clothing the humans had forgotten in your woods.
-You didn't often see Ratchet as he preferred to stay in the city. So, you mostly saw him whenever you visited. Having some medical knowledge, you often offered to help him with his tasks, especially since your ability allowed you to transfer energy.
-He didn't budge at first, certain he didn't need help, but when one of the bots was in critical condition, and you balanced the energy flow with your threads, he slowly changed his mind.
-Though you being half organic was something to get used to, your helpfulness and respectful nature allowed him to soften up. Eventually, he considered you one of the most helpful bots around.
-Â You sometimes visited the team to check on Optimus. To make sure he was doing okay and taking care of himself too. Even during the Autobot Academy days, he had a habit of not resting or relaxing when needed, so you sometimes reminded him to rest whenever you saw him hard at work.
-With you, it became pretty easy to handle some of the human villains that caused trouble when you were around, since you could just use your web to shoot and capture them easily.Â
-In the end, you managed to befriend Optimusâs team and enjoy their company.
-The next challenging part would be letting Elita One and Sentinel know about your existence.
Summary: Imagine taking Elitaâs place in Archa Seven and turning into a spider bot, but instead of hating the change, you actually start enjoying your life.Â
Warnings: reader is an introvert, Sentinel being Sentinel, peer pressure, the Archa Seven incident, getting left behind, being bitten by venomous spiders, mutations, loneliness, isolation, violence, Autobot prejudice, reader living their best life on Earth, mentions of lost wounded hikers, becoming a cryptid, near forest fire, reunion, and a soft ending.
______________________________________________
- You were a friend of Sentinel, Optimus, and Elita One. Well, mostly with Elita and Optimus, having met them at the Autobot Academy as a cadet yourself.Â
-You got introduced to them through Elita, the latter having befriended you and making it her life goal to drag you everywhere she went. She was nice, and you did like her, so you allowed it most of the time. You guessed that between the two of you; it was like opposites attract each other.Â
-You got along with Optimus; you two could actually be considered friends. Your shared curiosity for history allowed you two to bond, and you grew to know him as friendly, loyal, maybe a bit of a stickler for rules, and sometimes too kind for his own good. You liked him. He always looked out for you and his two more energetic and troublesome friends. He sometimes even makes sure you are included in their activities.Â
-With Sentinel, it was a bit different. He was proud, loud, and tended to lead you three to all sorts of things that usually led to trouble. He clearly saw himself as the leader of the group. You were polite with him, though, you're not sure you would consider you and him friends, more like acquaintances. Maybe because he sometimes forgets you are there, dismisses your input, and sometimes makes jokes about your interests. So, what you felt toward him was more like tolerance, especially for Elitaâs and Optimusâs sake. You kept it to yourself that you didnât actually like the mech much.
-You were pretty much the introvert of the group. You found it a bit difficult to make friends or bond with other bots, so you mostly kept quiet and did things on your own, especially when you possessed a keen curiosity toward organic life.Â
-The other bots found organics gross, or something to stay away from, but you were fascinated by it. You liked reading everything about them and even excelled in classes that taught about organics. You honestly wanted to become an organic researcher.Â
-This made you appear weird to the other cadets in the academy.Â
-Elita and Optimus were the first ones who didnât find it weird. Though they didnât understand much about organics, they were willing to learn and listen to you when you got into talking about the subject. Sentinel was the only one who made unwanted jokes and remarks about it.Â
-You made a peculiar group of friends. Even though you were mostly quiet and followed their lead. It worked somehow.Â
-And like them, you possessed a special modification too.Â
-Like Sentinel had his energy blade and shield, Optimus had his axe and hooks, and Elita had her copy ability. You possessed a modification that allowed you to shoot and manipulate these special threads. These threads were flexible and durable as steel. It also allowed you to transfer energy through them.Â
-It was honestly nothing impressive, so you used it rarely, also because it was the reason you were made to attend the Autobot academy, instead of the career you actually wanted.Â
- You were there when they decided to check out the planet called Archa Seven. Despite it being against the rules and clearly a bad idea, you tagged along, wanting to make sure that they would come back safely.Â
-The planet seemed desolate, by the looks of it. It had giant hills and caverns with no plant life or other life forms in sight. The only noticeable thing about it was these giant webbing-like things lingering between boulders and hills.Â
- Elita complemented the sight. You mentioned the possibility of the planet being inhabited because you remember reading about the webbings being produced by a class of organics, whose name you couldnât remember at the moment. You remember that they belonged to a group of insects.Â
- So, you encouraged caution.Â
-Sentinel dismissed your warning, certain that nothing would happen as usual. Then you four made your way into the caverns, intending to find a lost Decepticon ship that was supposed to carry a long-lost energon reserve.Â
-Well, things went quickly south. You found the ship and the energon, but it turns out it was used as a nest by these giant spiders, whose name you finally remembered. And these insects did not like your group intruding on their turf.
- While fending them off, the cavern began collapsing when the energon got hit and exploded. You four made a run for it before the ground beneath you failed.Â
-Using your thread ability, you were able to stop your fall and hang on the edge. Then you noticed Sentinel struggling to lift Optimus and Elita. You tried to find a way to help them, but with the cavern collapsing and time running out, you made a major decision.Â
- Wrapping your threads around Optimus and Elita, you then threw the thread over a cliff point in the ceiling and wrapped it around you, using yourself as a counterweight.Â
-Your friends looked at you, confused. Elita asked what you were doing.Â
-You looked at Optimus. âGet them home,â you said before detaching the thread that held you and falling into the spider pit.Â
-Using yourself as a counterweight, your threads pulled Optimus and Elita up, allowing Sentinel to pull them both back to safety. Elita yelled after you as you dropped into the spider nest. Optimus and Sentinel prevented her from coming after you and fled as the cave collapsed.Â
-Not willing to go offline without a fight, you used your threads to prevent the spiders from eating you. Though able to cut and keep them at bay, you received some of their venomous bites, and some of your threads unintentionally absorbed their energy.Â
-When the cavern began collapsing above you, you decided to wrap yourself in your threads in large quantities. Though it was a long shot, your threads were tough and, in large amounts, could offer enough protection to prevent you from being crushed alive. Then everything went dark. Â
-Maybe it was the energy your threads absorbed from the spiders, or the spider venom in your systems, but something caused your frame to go through a mutation.
-Because when you crawled out of your cocoon after the cavernâs collapse passed, you woke up, alive and⌠very different.Â
-You first felt disoriented and even struggled to move. The first thing you noticed was the change in your systems and that you had somehow managed to grow extra limbs. Not to mention the spiders near you didnât attack you on sight.Â
-It would take a moment to get back your bearings and realize that you had somehow become one of the spiders after seeing your reflection on a metal wall.Â
-The spiders hissed at you and chased you away from the eggs when you got too close, most likely due to the protective instincts. You didnât decide to snap back and find your way out of the caverns.Â
-Thankfully, it didnât take long, and you found your way outside. Away from danger, you transformed into your bot mode and processed your state.Â
-Your entire frame had changed. Somehow, you had become a half-organic creature. Your main armor was still tough, though soft in some parts. Spider legs protruded from your back, acting as extra limbs. And in some places you had, what organics possessed called âfurâ which made you feel warm and soft.Â
-You also possessed more optics, which allowed you an expanded visual range. Your sensors could detect temperature, vibrations, and other stimuli you had never noticed before. It didnât take long for you to recognize these sensations as instincts.
- It was both fascinating and freaky.
- You tried to think. How did this happen? How are you even alive?
-You recalled the moments before the collapse, the unintentional energy transfer, and the venom in your system. You werenât sure, but you had a feeling that those factors had something to do with your current condition. You are not sure if anything like this has ever happened in cybertronian history.Â
-You decided to wait and sit down on a cliff, processing this new reality. It allowed you to think peacefully while trying to see if an Autobot ship or anything shows up on the planet.Â
-The time etched.Â
-Your friends never returned, not even other Autobots that could have come to retrieve your body. The Autobot command was definitely aware of what happened, especially since you are missing. The Autobot command was strict like that. There was a chance you were presumed dead.Â
-Though not surprised, not even an attempt to come retrieve your supposed body still left a sting in your spark.Â
-But it also left you wondering if they enacted some kind of punishment on your friends, or how they were doing. Elita was probably crushed by your âpassingâ, and Optimus would likely take the blame on himself, and Sentinel wouldnât likely say anything. He was never good at taking responsibility for his actions.
-As the time grew longer, it became a bit lonely. Though you worked fine on your own, it was lonely without Elita and Optimus. Even the silence without Sentinelâs stupid remarks felt strange. But honestly, you were kind of glad they didnât come back since this planet was dangerous. You wouldnât want them to risk their life trying to retrieve your dead body.Â
- To pass the time, you decided to explore your new body.
- You grew used to moving with extra limbs, even using them in your robot form to climb over walls and hills. Testing your new instincts, you found out you were able to locate energon, sense changes in your surroundings, and track down other life forms, things you werenât able to do as a cybertronian. It was fascinating as you were finally able to understand how organic life forms worked.Â
-You even started playing with your threads and the webbings you were now able to produce. Your threads still retained their original function, but now you could control their hardness and turn them into something soft and silky. And even combine it with the spider webbing.Â
-You even began using it while exploring the planet, creating stuff, and using it to shoot and swing yourself to places. Sometimes, you even hung upside down from a cliff, which you found entertaining in a way.
-And as more time passed, the less time you spent waiting on the cliff edge for something that might never come.
-You then came to a realization when you noticed the freedom and the free time you had.Â
- As you were technically dead, you didnât have to return to the academy. Meaning, no stressful exams, no fear of breaking protocol, no expectations, and no stuck-up, high-position bots making nasty comments about you.Â
-You never really wanted to join the Autobot Academy, but had to, due to your ability and the threat of being thrown into the Stockades. To be a cog in a great machine. Not to mention making friends with bots who didnât share your interests and hobbies was a nightmare. To be something, you were not.
- Here. You were⌠free. Free to just exist and be someone you want to be.
-And honestly, this new half-organic version of you was kinda neat. With your body and limbs, you were able to move about everywhere. With your advanced thread ability, you were able to do things you weren't able to before. And with your new instincts, you were able to track and find energon in the wilderness.Â
-The world felt different to you as well. It held a lot of warmth and cold. Smells. The air in your organic body felt refreshing. It was like you got the best parts from both worlds.Â
-Though it gave you some limitations you didn't have as a full cybertronian, you were honestly loving this.Â
-Though you definitely would have to avoid Autobots from now on. They would definitely put you on a dissection table and treat you like a lab rat if they found out about you. You were a freak of nature by their standards.Â
- As your stay on Archa Seven grew, you soon realized that you needed a change of scenery. The spiders were still hostile, and the energon was kind of running out.Â
-You scavenged whatever you could find, and you did not want to end up being a target of your arachnid neighbours, as you had seen they were capable of cannibalization.Â
-So, you began observing the skies again, waiting for ships or something to stop by Archa Seven.Â
-You became hopeful when you saw bots stop by the planet, but hid when you saw that they carried a Decepticon symbol. You had read about the banished Decepticons in the archives, so you knew what the symbol looked like and the many crimes they had committed during the Great War. Though you sometimes questioned the recordâs authenticity, given the air around them, you didnât doubt that they didnât possess good intentions.Â
-Deciding not to risk it, you decided to keep your distance and observe from afar. Though your spider mode allowed you to blend with other spiders, you didnât want to find out what they might do to you if they knew that you were a cybertronian.Â
-You were forced into contact with them when one of them decided to randomly shoot you. You evaded the shot and then hid inside your section of the caverns, but instead of leaving you alone, the con followed. With no choice, you used your threads to trap the con in your cavern, immobilising them and then using your threads to drain them of their energy.Â
- Though your instincts told you to take the killing shot and drain the con of their energon, you used your threads to toss them out of your caverns. Thankfully, they didnât come back and eventually left. Maybe you draining their energy made them realize you werenât an easy opponent or worth the risk, so they backed off.
-A good outcome for you.Â
-Thought it forced you to wait, you saw it better not to try to ask them for a ride, especially when one of them randomly attacked you. So, you waited for another chance.
-Opportunity showed itself when you found traveling cybertronians stop by, probably to make fixes on their ship. You didnât see marks on them, so you knew they were neutrals. Better chances with them than with cons.Â
-You tried to find a way to approach them without freaking them out. Until the sparklings that were with them walked a bit too close to the spider territory. The spiders attacked, intending to make the younglings their meal, but you were quick enough to intervene and protect the sparklings.Â
- Though initially frightened, when you lowered your spider head and backed away, the sparklings were able to tell that you didnât mean harm.Â
-When their creators showed up, the sparklings told them what happened, and they calmed down, seeing that you weren't acting like the other spiders.Â
-You then dared to speak with them. Though initially freaked out that you were able to talk, when you told them your situation, they seemed calm and willing to help you when you asked if they could give you a ride. As your spider form was too big for their ship, you transformed into your bot mode for the first time in a long time.Â
-Though you were unlike anything theyâve seen, they got over your half-organic side and let you hitch a ride to a neutral space stop. They were surprisingly more accepting than the Autobots. Even giving you a cloak to keep warm, as it was pretty cold for you. You got along with their sparklings, even if they asked many questions.
- During the trip, they helped you plan out what to do next or find a home that was more fitting for you. Maybe a planet filled with organic beings.Â
-You guess you kind of befriended them, as they were willing to give you a ride to such a home.Â
-You even dared to share about your past with the Autobots. They seemed concerned and shared that they didnât trust the Autobots. They told you why, and though you respected their reasoning, you doubted the Autobots were that terrible.
-However, your opinion changed when you arrived at the space stop.Â
-At the space stop, you kept wearing the cloak as other occupants would likely get freaked out by your appearance. You helped the bots stock up and watched over their sparklings when they departed to visit family.Â
-Suddenly, autobots showed up. You were wary of them until you heard that the bots you were with were related to a major Decepticon group, and wanted to take them into custody.Â
-Knowing the Autobot protocol and that the bots you were with had not committed crimes, you tried to reason with them. However, the bot in charge didnât seem to care or possessed no sense of reason, and soon a firefight broke out.Â
-You protected the sparklings and kept them out of harm's way. However, when the Autobot decided to point their blaster at you and them, you decided to act. You transformed into your spider form, using your venom to immobilize your opponents and threads to make them immobile, ending the fight.Â
-You use your treads to take away the weapons and keep them in place. The bots were shocked and startled by your appearance, struggling in your threads.
- You tried to persuade them to stop, but they wouldn't. They struggled harder and called you a freak of nature.
- Then, your travel companionâs family showed up. Turns out their relatives were indeed Decepticons. You especially met this really scary-looking con. However, after your companions explained everything and that you had rescued their sparklings twice, the con thanked you and had the Autobots taken away.Â
-You had a suspicion that they were gonna kill the bots or do something worse than death. But this seemed like a moment to keep your intake shut.
-You were offered a place in the conâs faction. But when you explained that you simply wanted to find a home and live in peace, the con was surprisingly respectful and even helped you find a suitable planet. Even if you didnât want to join, since you had helped them, you could ask them a favor in the future.Â
-And thatâs how your journey led you to a planet called Earth.
- It was a peculiar little mudball planet. Its life forms were much smaller, but more abundant. You spent days observing animals of all forms, humans, and even the small insects. Every day you found something new. It was also covered with woods and energon, which meant you had found a good home.Â
- You built a cozy home in a desolate location, as humans had a tendency to react violently toward things they didnât understand. You learned to forage and even grow organic sustenance for yourself. Thanks to your half-organic side, you didnât need to rely only on energon to survive.
- And then, you just lived, collecting things, observing, and simply existing.Â
- The humans were the ones you sometimes observed most. Each human always looked different or acted differently. You learned their language by observing the patterns in their speech and reading some of the books they left behind or forgot.Â
- Though you stayed out of the humansâ sight. There were some occasions where you stumbled upon a lost, injured hiker or a lost child. You treated their wounds with your silk webbings and safely brought them to the edge of the woods. Most were unconscious, but some seemed to have managed to catch a glimpse of you because when they returned to their homes, they spoke about a giant spider. Thankfully, most humans thought they were imagining things.Â
-But helping the humans did leave you to become a local legend of sorts, since humans started visiting your woods to try to catch a glimpse of you.Â
-â The Guardian of Spiderwoodâ is what they called you.Â
-Spiderwood became the name of your home, as many rare spider species lived there with you. Despite your past experiences, you found your little spider neighbours much more pleasant than the ones in Archa Seven. You even cared for some of them and the animals that passed by. Since you were called a guardian, might as well make sure your home's ecosystem remained in balance, as the humans tended to be careless with it.
- Life was good.Â
- But many years later, since Archa Seven, you saw cybertronians arrive in your woods.Â
-You sensed them immediately. You observed from a distance as a group of Autobots accompanied by a human child walked into your woods, intending to camp and catch a sight of you, the Guardian of Spiderwood.
-Apparently, the childâs father got lost in your woods some years ago, and you rescued him when he hurt his leg pretty badly. He believed in your existence and even managed to preserve the webbing you used to treat his leg. It left you confused because the webbing you used to help the humans dissolved with time.
-The child's father had also funded charities to keep your woods untouched by companies that wanted to cut down its trees. Though you weren't sure what that meant.
-The child âSariâ wanted to debunk that, not believing in your existence even with the proof.Â
-You observed the Autobots carefully.
-There was a small yellow bot, who talked a lot and carried a camera, saying how it would be cool to be the first one to catch sight of the cryptid spider. There was a sleek, black bot that made you think of bots in the Ninja Corp. He seemed more awed by the wildlife of your woods. Then there was a tall red and blue bot who looked oddly familiar.
-The group advanced around the woods, with you watching from the trees. Despite the yellow bot's confidence, he behaved very squeamish around the small spiders. This caused the child to laugh at him a lot.
-You silently hoped they would not find the path to your home.
-They found some of your residue webbing, which you sometimes used to fix trees or other animalsâ homes, causing the blue and red bot to freeze and act strangely. It was like he knew about them.
-You soon found out that you had to be careful around the ninja-looking bot. It seemed his instincts were sharp, and he was aware of your presence. You nearly got exposed when he threw one of his shurikens at your hiding spot. You dodged the bladed weapon, though it was too close for your liking.
-Things became even weirder when a key around the childâs neck started glowing whenever you got near. You didn't know what it was, so you kept a farther distance.
-Things became serious when Decepticons showed up. There was this giant con with a single optic and a con with switching faces.
- A fight broke out between the groups. You observed the fight from the shadows, making sure the woods remained intact. When the three-faced Decepticon kept blasting fire around the woods, causing the trees to catch on fire, you had enough. You shot your webbings at his barrels, causing him to be startled and unable to use them, then you shot your webbings around the thrusters on his pedes, causing him to fall from the sky.
-This gave the Autobots a chance to handle the big con.
-You then saw the yellow bot receiving a bad hit and passing out. He and the child Sari then got close to falling when the con's arm bombs caused the ground to collapse beneath them.Â
-With the other bots busy, you decided to risk it. You snapped your threads toward the yellow bot, pulling him and the child to safety before they could fall.
-"Whoa. You're real!" Sari exclaimed when she saw you. Her key glowed again, reacting to your presence.
-You quickly disappeared into the woods when the blue and red bot showed up. Turns out this blue and red bot was actually Optimus.Â
-When Optimus saw you and your spider form, he was reminded of the day when he lost one of his friends, and seeing the same spider on Earth made him react protectively. He chased after you through the woods, keeping up with you. He then threw his axe at a tree, causing your path to be blocked.
-You avoided his hooks and strikes.Â
-You then transformed, surprising him and then kicking him to the ground. You kicked his axe away and stood over him, hissing and baring your teeth in a warning.
- Seeing your face caused Optimus to freeze. Though changed, he still recognized you. He uttered your name in disbelief.Â
- Hearing your name, you froze. You backed away from him as he stood up, asking if it was really you.Â
-You looked at him carefully. Your optics widened when you finally recognized him.Â
- "Optimus?" you said, your voice still the same.Â
- Silence etched between you as the reality settled in. He questioned how you were still alive. You replied that it was a long story before asking what he was doing on Earth. He said it was a long story, too.Â
-The moment was cut short when his teammates called out to him, approaching quickly.Â
-You attempted to leave, but Optimus pleaded you not to go, having many questions. You promised to tell him everything later and told him a place where you two could meet. You did not feel comfortable around his teammates. He agreed and then you disappeared back to your home.Â
- Back safely in your home, you processed everything. You honestly did not expect to see Optimus after all these years. It didnât make you feel unhappy. Seeing him alive and well made you feel relieved, and wonder about how Elita and Sentinel were doing.Â
-Thought tempted not to go, you practiced everything you would say and how to answer any questions he might have before making your way to the meeting place.
-It was nighttime when you arrived. You stayed in hiding, watching as Optimus arrived. He looked around, probably for you. You waited a few minutes to make sure his team didnât follow before revealing yourself. Â
- Walking out of your hiding spot, you made a few clicking sounds to let Optimus know of your presence. Optimus first looked startled by your spider form. You spoke to him, assuring him that it was you before transforming into your robot mode.Â
-You two then sat down on a patch of grass, watching the stars. You told him everything that happened to you and how you survived Archa Seven. Optimus shared what happened after the incident, how he took responsibility for the whole thing, and got himself demoted to a repair bot. Sentinel and Elita remained in the academy and became part of the Elite guard, both earning the title of Prime.Â
-Optimus then revealed that he prevented the others from coming back and apologised for abandoning you. Elita was especially crushed by what happened.Â
-You assured Optimus that you werenât angry. Though your change was something to get used to, you were glad they didnât come back. Archa Seven was still hostile even when they had long left.Â
-You then scolded him for taking the blame. Even if it was Sentinelâs idea to go to Archa Seven, Optimus shouldnât have carried all of it, especially for your supposed passing. You shook your head and said how he was still a good-natured fool.
-Though baffled by your sudden insult, Optimus chuckled and mentioned how you hadn't changed in personality.
-You remarked that you still avoided socializing with other creatures, but you were more relaxed than before.
-Optimus then asked if you missed Cybertron. You admitted that there were times you thought about your original home.Â
-Optimus said he could help you get back to Cybertron. You shook your helm and said that the Autobots would take you into a lab and experiment on you.
-You revealed that you actually liked the new you. You told him about the things you could do, how free you felt, and how you no longer had to live under expectations to be something you're not.Â
-You are happy where you are now. Earth might not look much, but it suited you. It was filled with a variety of life, and although humans tended to be chaotic at times, you liked it.
-You told him about your journey to Earth and your mistrust toward the Autobot command. You knew they were strict and prejudiced at times, but your experience at the space stop revealed how prejudiced and unreasonable they could be. The experience left you unable to trust them again.
-So, there was no way you would become an Autobot again.
-Though slightly doubting about Autobotâs prejudice, Optimus respected your decision.Â
-You then finally asked what brought him and his crew to Earth.Â
-Optimus then told you about the events that occurred â how he found the Allspark, how Megatron showed up and attempted to steal it, his crash landing on Earth, and how he and his crew became protectors of Detroit.Â
-You listened attentively. There was a hint of worry in you that he and his friends took such a huge responsibility as this while having no contact with the Elite Guard.
- Optimus told you about their human friend Sari. The human child you rescued with his teammate, Bumblebee.
-You giggled when Optimus mentioned some of the shenanigans they get into. They sounded like a handy bunch.Â
-Optimus then asked if you wanted to join his team and meet them.Â
- You told him that you were happy with your forest life. You wouldn't likely have an easy time hiding in a city filled with humans, especially when you were a giant spider, and you weren't certain that his team would accept you.
-Optimus assured that the people of Detroit had become used to seeing robots, so you really wouldn't need to hide. The humans would likely become excited because you were the infamous Guardian of Spiderwood. And you did rescue one of his friends, so his team would be more than willing to accept you.
-You promised to think about it. Though many things had changed, you were still pretty socially awkward.
-You then told him that he can ask you for help anytime. Thought you might no longer be an Autobot, heâs still your friend.
-That fact seemed to comfort him. Though he did say letting Elita know you were alive and well would give her great comfort.
-You agreed. But for now, you wanted to take one step at a time.
-You two then enjoyed the night breeze, making peace with each other and the past.Â
(Authorâs note: I was thinking about the concept of Earth dying due to the cybertronians' war, and kinda got inspired by this post by @luxthestrange. What if, reader, a human turned into a cybertronian, who also fought beside the Autobots, witnessed Elita kill Earth and destroy everything they had ever known? What if this choice ends up making reader become the Harbinger of War?)
Warnings: this takes place in skybound, war, violence, Earth dying, extinction, Elita doing some really bad stuff, very heavy angst, reader snaps, and ends up possessed by the dead souls, body horror, horror themed, and a very bad ending for Cybertronians.
_________________________________________________
-You had fought for the Autobots ever since they found you and accepted you among them â a human, who was turned into a robot like them due to unfortunate circumstances. Though different, they welcomed you and taught you everything you needed to survive the war that threatened your planet.Â
-You offered support both at base and on the battlefield. You gave a listening ear and comforting presence whenever the war lowered their spirits.Â
-A sweet, kind, and brave soul is what they thought of you. Despite the circumstances, you fought a war that was not originally yours to fight alongside them. You protected them as much as they protected you. And despite your own doubts, you reminded them of what they were fighting for, which made them care for you even more.Â
-You were even empathic toward bots who changed sides, respecting their choices and reminding them that they can choose to do what they want as long as they no longer caused harm to Earth.Â
-Perhaps it was thanks to you that Thundercracker or some other cons chose to join the Autobots.Â
-You brought them much hope. Enough to keep going, and imagine a day when the Decepticons no longer threaten Earth, and possibly see the end of the war.Â
-But they never imagined that the greatest pain you would ever face was to witness the destruction of your own world. The day when you lost everything you ever fought for.Â
-Elita One, or Elita Prime as Optimus gave her the matrix, despite everything, still chose to follow the Decepticons idea and use Earthâs resources to restore Cybertron.Â
-You begged her desperately not to do it â to not murder your world and everyone in it.Â
-However, it was too late. The device Elita seized from the Decepticons was activated, which destroyed the Earthâs atmosphere. All humans, including your friends, family, and everyone you ever knew, and Earthâs fauna, suffocated to death. The Earthâs sun scorched all the flora, turning the planet into a barren wasteland. The Earth's oceans either boiled or froze, killing all its marine life. The sky lost its blueness, and not even a single blade of grass survived.
-Earth became a graveyard of the life it once possessed.Â
-But clean from all obstructions for cybertronians to collect its resources.Â
-The loss broke you. You screamed in agony and hatred. Barely restrained as you tried to attack Elita, calling her a murderer and swearing you would kill her. She ordered you to be taken into containment, considering what to do with you after taking all the resources Earth could offer.Â
-Optimus could not believe it himself. He had thought that giving the Matrix to Elita would set her back on the right path, but she ended up doing the same thing he had tried to prevent Megatron from doing.
-Any form of bond they had was gone for good. He would demand that you be released, telling her she will not judge you for anything and that if she refused, he would do something regrettable.
-She relented, and you were released from containment. You were quiet and numb, stains of the tears you had shed painted your face. But instead of letting you go quietly, Elita proceeded to tell you that thanks to Earth, Cybertron will live. That, as the last survivor of your kind, you should feel honored to see what the necessary sacrifice allowed.
-You only looked at her with a silent glare. âI will never forgive a murderer,â you said.
-You then vanished from Cybertron. The last time your friends saw you, you had returned to your planet, which was now nothing but a lifeless rock. Kneeling on the ground while quietly staring into nothing.Â
-Your friends felt guilty and awful. Those who had been on Earth and had befriended the humans left Cybertron, unable to bear the loss and the idea that Cybertron was only alive because of their human friends' deaths. Others felt guilty, too, even ashamed about how they felt glad to see Cybertron alive again.Â
-Those who still remained could still find you in the same spot on Earth, staring into the distance, unmoving and not eating a single energon they left for you. Sometimes they would see you speaking to something that isn't there, making them think the sorrow was slowly driving you insane.
-Optimus would sometimes sit with you in silence, knowing that no word could fix the pain this devastation had brought you.Â
-One of your former friends said something that gained a reaction out of you. They tried to make you see a silver lining, which made you furious. You ripped the Autobot badge from your chest and tossed it before them, swearing that you will never stand beside another Autobot again. You then walked away.Â
-You never returned to that spot. Some of them tried to look for you, and some accepted that you would never want to see them again. That letting you go was the merciful thing they could do for you for now.Â
-But soon changes happened on Cybertron. Nightmares plagued the bots. In their dreams, they saw the faces of humans and friends who had once looked at them with friendship and acceptance, now looked at them with hatred. Mysterious writings started appearing on Cybertronâs walls and surface, all containing hate and promises of revenge. How they owed a debt.
-Soon, the rivers of energon turned red. The color of humanity's lifeblood.
-Then there was even a worrisome occurrence. Bots telling how there was an infection that caused bots to go mad with rage and fight anyone without end. Which was gained by standing within a strange fog, or by the whispers of shadowy figures that began appearing out of nowhere.
-No one could explain what was happening.Â
-But one thing was clear: peace was vanishing from Cybertron.Â
-Some claimed it was a new weapon of the Decepticons. Some claimed it was the consequence of their decisions, the karmic debt of restoring Cybertron with the life of another world.Â
-But then, one day, you suddenly appeared on Cybertron. However, there was something really wrong with you.Â
-Your optics were red, red as blood. Dark energon with hues of red grew out of your frame. There was also a dark presence around you that could be seen by the bots near you. It was like your body was producing blackened air, and at a near distance, the bots could hear whispers of several voices.
-You then attacked, killing anyone on your path with the strength they had never seen you wield before. There was this maddened look on your face, and it was like there were other voices mixed with your own.Â
-Elita faced you, and despite the other Autobotsâ protest, she managed to plunge the star saber into your spark. For a moment, she thought she had won, and you were no more.Â
-However, you did not go offline.
-You grabbed her arm, and for a moment, Elita saw not just you, but millions of human faces. They looked back at her with eyes filled with hatred. Hatred powerful enough for you to pull the star saber out of you and still live.Â
-The wound in your chest poured forth energon. Not blue like cybertronians, but red like human blood. The Autobots watched as the spark within you turned red, burning like a sun.Â
-Your energon suddenly set you on fire, encasing you in red and black flames. Your body convulsed as it began to change. A scream ripped out of your throat as wings sprouted out of your back. Horns slowly grew from your helm, making you hold it in pain as you also grew in size. Your frame then began glowing like it was melting, molding your body.
-The bots watched in horror. The dark energon only seemed to fuel the change.
-When the fire died down, you were completely changed. Your armor was scorched into pitch black, like the fire had scorched all the colors out of you, save for the lines that were blood red. You had horns and wings, giving you a strong resemblance to the chaos bringer, Unicron. The wound over your chest did not close, allowing the red spark to glow through. It also looked like you were bleeding from the crevices of your armor.
-Red tears endlessly streamed down your faceplate, tracing paths through the blackened metal no matter how many times they evaporated in the heat. And all around your frame and in the feathers of your wings opened several blood-red eyes.
-It was only then that the Autobots understood what you had become as they recognized those eyes. The same eyes that had been watching them in their nightmares. The eyes of the dead, now using you as their vessel.
-You had been possessed by all the souls that perished in Earth's destruction, all ended by Elita's hands. You had become, what words could only describe, the embodiment of pure hatred. Humanity's harbinger.
-You faced Elita again. However, this time, the battle became one-sided. You were now on a completely different level.Â
-Elita fought with all her might, but the millions of souls within you fuelled your strength with hatred, allowing you to overwhelm her. Soon, she lost, and you ripped the Matrix of Leadership out of her hands.Â
-She then watched as you held the Matrix in your hands and, with the strength of the vengeful souls, ripped it into pieces. You had destroyed the Matrix of Leadership.Â
-Wounded, Elita could not get up. You then showed your foot against her chest, keeping her down. Some of the blood spilling from you, painting her frame. She told you to finish it.Â
âDeath is too good for you! â you stated.
âThey demand your blood.â
-She watched as many shadowy figures appeared beside you, humans, whose lives she had ended, who now stood around her. Watching and waiting.
âBut I have a better ideaâŚâ You leaned down, staring into her.Â
âSince you took our world, why donât we live in this one, since it's our worldâs blood that is running in its veins?â you suggested.
-Elitaâs eyes widened when the souls spoke their agreement.Â
âAnd since you cybertronians love fighting so much. How about I ensure you will continue to fight until all of you are dead,â you added.Â
-You then suddenly transformed into a creature that reminded the bots of Earthâs bird, which Optimus recognized as a dove, a creature that humans once associated with peace. Though your form carried what could only be described as a bleeding spark.
-You released a cry and flew across Cybertron, turning Cybertronâs skies blood red. The crimson spark in your chest bled into their world, either setting things on fire or infecting any cybertronian that came near it into uncontrollable rage.
-Elita watched as shaded figures scattered around Cybertron, creating a fog that allowed more bots to be infected and fight each other.
-All cybertronians could only watch as Cybertron was plunged into a new era by the embodiment of their ultimate sin.Â
Summary: Imagine the Allspark giving Optimus a sparkling.Â
(Author's note: I was thinking about that since Allspark's whole thing is about giving life, so like what if it can get cybertronians pregnant too?)
Warnings: mentions of resurrections, accidental pregnancy, Grimlock in a funny sense, some violence, Bumblebee does not make a good babysitter, struggles of a new parent, accidental neglect, baby you has a beef with Sentinel.Â
-Imagine that months have passed since the incident with Starscream and since Optimus was brought back to life by the Allspark and Sariâs key. Everything has gone on as before, so the event has already been all but forgotten.
-Except Optimus has begun experiencing strange things recently.Â
-Strange fatigue had begun bothering him, leaving him more tired than usual. He found himself refueling on energon much more often, as it seemed to be burning much faster. There was also strange heaviness within his chest. It was light, but it was there.Â
-Optimus suspected he was catching something. So, he went to Ratchet. The medic gave him a scan, but couldnât find anything abnormal. Optimus was as healthy as he could be.Â
-Ratchet concluded that Optimus probably just needed a break from leading and all the hero stuff. He had been putting himself into a lot of work recently â helping Detroit's citizens and all that.Â
-Optimus wasnât satisfied with the answer. Something in his mind told him that there was more to it. But since the scans didnât find anything, he decided to give it a try.Â
-He was not really used to taking breaks or having free time on his servos, but with Sariâs help and her childlike coercion, he spent a day watching some human shows with her or tried activities that required little energy.Â
-However, despite the few days of break, his symptoms did not go away. On the contrary, his symptoms seemed to be getting stronger.Â
-The fatigue began to leave him exhausted. His need to refuel also grew. Sometimes he could drink an entire canister of energon without noticing. The heaviness in his chest also grew, now feeling like there was a heavy ball inside his chest.
-He couldnât even wield his axe properly during fights. His movements became sluggish, and it felt like moving burned more energy than it should.
-His team began to take notice and become worried.
-There was also a strange incident with Grimlock. The dinobot was causing chaos again, so Optimus and his team moved to engage him. During the fight, Grimlock was about to attack Optimus, but then the dinobot suddenly stopped and began intensely sniffing the bot.Â
-This baffled everyone who happened to see it.
-Grimlock then began acting very strangely. The dinobot began following Optimus around, saying stuff about how he needed to be protected while mildly insulting the bot for being incapable of doing it himself. He also growled others away if they got too close.Â
-None of the bots could explain why the dinobot was acting that way, not even Prowl.Â
-The ninja bot could only conclude that Grimlock knew something about Optimusâs strange condition.Â
-So, after managing to get away from the dinobot, Optimus went to Ratchet once more.Â
- The medic scanned the bot once more, but the only abnormalities that appeared were Optimusâs unusually low energy output and increased energon input around the Prime's spark chamber.
-Ratchet told Optimus to continue resting while he went deeper into diagnostics, thinking the problem might be there.Â
-The team stood around their leader. Grimlock was still strangely hovering around Optimus. Bumblebee and Bulkhead said that maybe Optimus was stressed and needed a long vacation. Optimus shook his helm and said that there was something else involved.Â
-Prowl did his ninja thing and revealed that there was a change in Optimusâs spark, like there was a second hum. That provided no clarity to the mystery.
-Sari then walked over and asked what was going on.
-After telling Sari about Grimlockâs strange behaviour and Optimusâs condition, she makes the following remark.Â
âSheesh. Sounds like youâre expecting or something.â
-Optimus questioned how the humansâ procreation process had to do with his condition. Sari explained that he had similar symptoms to human women when they had a baby in their tummy, and that animals can sometimes sense it with their instincts, so maybe thatâs why Grimlock was acting the way he was.Â
-Ratchet immediately brushed it off. But after a few seconds, something clicked in his mind, and he left to check on something.Â
-This left the team confused.Â
-The team then gets alerted by a Decepticon attack. Optimus immediately led his team forward. Grimlock, of course, followed.
-Arriving at the scene, the team finds Blitzwing causing havoc. They engaged the con. Optimus barked orders and activated his axe.
-However, Grimlock suddenly blocked his way and prevented him from joining the fight, saying that he was too weak to join. This frustrated the Prime, especially when the dinobot refused to help either.Â
-So, Optimus was forced to give guidance behind the dinobot.Â
-His team worked together well enough to fend Blitzwing off, but the triple changer was still stronger than them.Â
-Optimus suddenly began to feel strange. His frame began to feel hot from the inside and tremble, forcing him to kneel down painfully. His spark felt like it was bounding against his chest.
-This both confused and distressed him. What was happening?
-When Blitzwing noticed this, he threw the other bots away and immediately charged to attack. Blitzwing's personality, Random, cackled about the Prime leaving himself open.
-Thankfully, Grimlock finally decided to intervene and tail-slammed Blitzwing down before the con could touch Optimus. The dinobot then decided to fight the con, keeping him away.
-Sari quickly ran up to Optimus, worried and asking if he needed her key. Suddenly, Optimusâs chest involuntarily opened. There was a bright flash of light, and then something ejected itself into Optimusâs servos. It was like a small metal bean that steamed from heat.Â
-Optimus exhaled in relief, all the pain and heaviness gone.Â
-After Grimlock managed to chase Blitzwing away, the team quickly came to Optimus, who was holding the small metal thing as it cooled off.Â
-Before anyone could question what it was, you, the metal bean, opened two bright optics. You yawned and then stared at the bots. Sari and the team stared back at you in utter bewilderment.
âUhm⌠Optimus. I think you just gave birth.â Sari said in disbelief.Â
-The team helped Optimus back to base, even Grimlock, who simply refused to leave because of you, the bean that looked like a small cybertronian.
-When they got there, Ratchet declared that he now knew what was bothering Optimus. He then saw the team helping a tired Optimus, you in Optimus's servos, and Grimlock still hovering over the Prime, looking at you with a wagging tail.
âYeah, doc bot. We kinda figured it.â Sari said.Â
-After helping Optimus to sit down, Ratchet explained that Optimusâs strange symptoms came from a cybertronian carrying progress, which was a rare way for new cybertronians to be born.Â
- You were called a sparkling, a small baby-like cybertronian born from a sparkbond between two conjuxes. It was a rare and nearly sacred phenomenon. It was common during the days before the Great War and when the Allspark still existed on Cybertron.
-After the Allspark was banished from Cybertron, sparkling births declined drastically until they nearly became a myth. Nowadays, only two or three sparklings could be born each million years. Thatâs how rare they became.Â
-It was shocking news to the team.
-Optimus questioned how he ended up with a sparkling when heâs not sparkbonded to anyone.Â
-Ratchet theorized that the Allspark had something to do with it since it had played a role in his resurrection when he went offline. So, not only did it bring him back to life, it gave him something extra. The Allspark was an artifact of life after all.
-Some of the old text also said that some cybertronians could seek the Allspark for the blessing of a sparkling without a conjux.Â
-Optimus did not know what to think of this, or that he unknowingly became a carrier.
-He did feel an invisible bond with you as he looked at you. It was something he couldnât explain, but didnât reject.Â
-As there wasnât anything they could do about it now, it was now their responsibility to raise you.
-The first thing they needed to do was to give you a designation. Sari, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead immediately threw out excited suggestions. Ratchet shut them up and said Optimus was the only one who had the right to give you a name.Â
-Optimus thought about it and gave you the name (Name).
- Your arrival definitely put a wrench in their usual routine. For example, Optimus had no idea how to raise sparklings. He had to rely on what Ratchet could remember from times before the war and all the records the computer on their ship had on raising sparklings. He read them while feeding you a sparkling appropriate energon formula.Â
-There wasn't a lot of text to learn. And he would never message Sentinel for more guidebooks without the latter asking questions. His former friend would definitely make a mockery out of him, and Optimus did not want you exposed to that.Â
-So he turned toward human books since Sari said raising human babies was pretty similar to raising sparklings, with some minus pointers from Ratchet.Â
-Thankfully, his team was a huge help.Â
-Sari and Bulkhead gave you some human kid toys. Sari began treating you like a little sibling. Bulkhead sometimes gave you paper and crayons, and together, you would make drawings.
-Bumblebee was good at entertaining you with silly faces and noises.
-However, one time, the yellow bot thought it would be a good idea to race around with you on board. Optimus gave him one hell of a scolding and banned him from babysitting you alone.Â
-With Prowl, you would often nap in his presence and giggle when he tried to play peekaboo with a serious face.Â
-So far, Sari, Bulkhead, and Prowl were the most trusted babysitters.Â
-Grimlock made it very clear he wanted to be involved. The dinobot now rarely left for his island since you came to be. He was gentle with you, surprisingly, well after Optimus smacked him a few times when he was about to get rowdy.Â
-The only downside was that he was convinced that he was the sire.
âMe Grimlock the sireâ
âGrimlock noâ
âMe Grimlock, yesâ
-He didnât try to steal you, and you liked him, so Optimus mostly allowed it. The dinobot was good protection. However, Optimus would sometimes get pissed at Grimlock with protective anger, which even got his engines revved up, and the dinobot had enough brain processing power to back off.Â
âTruck bot, sometimes, scaryâ
-Ratchet gives you regular health checks. Despite your abnormal birth, you were a healthy sparkling and acted like one when you tried to eat a few of his tools.Â
-To anyone's shock, Ratchet would sometimes babytalk to you and act all soft. It was like looking at a different bot. He turned back to his normal grumpy self whenever he looked at them and threw wrenches at them if they dared to make a comment. Bumblebee was the usual target.
-At first, parenting seemed easy. Optimus figured out a routine for when to feed you, put you to bed, and sometimes his team pitched in to babysit.
-But then there were moments when you didnât agree to follow the routine. Sometimes you didnât feel hungry, didnât want to recharge, and even cried for some reason. Optimus wasnât sure what to do in these times.Â
-There was also a moment he wasnât sure how to balance work and personal life. There was a lot to do when helping Detroit City, patrolling for Decepticons and other human villains, and protecting the Allspark. He had the team babysit you at times, but at the end of the day he would be tired, and you demanded his attention.Â
-There would be a few times he tried to schedule everything perfectly. Then forget he had a kid.
-This would end up with Ratchet yelling at him and smacking his helm, reminding him that he was a parent and needed to spend time with you. You had cried for him for a while.Â
-Optimus would feel terrible and comfort you. He didnât know how to raise you while doing his job as an Autobot.Â
-Ratchet ordered him to take a break with you and that he didnât need to shoulder all the responsibility in the world.Â
-Optimus would take this to mind, though he would feel some insecurity over it. He thought he had it covered, yet ended up neglecting you. How could he be so foolish?Â
-Optimus would think about this at a local park as he sat down nearby while watching you play in a sandbox. He was tired and unsure if he was fit to be your parent.Â
-He would end up chatting with a human mother who wheeled a carrier beside the bench near him and let her two other kids play at the sandbox with you. She also seemed to be pregnant with her fourth.
-He would end up sharing about his struggles and doubts with her. The human mother was surprisingly understanding and smiled softly, saying stuff like, "That's just the life of a parentâ.Â
âIâm not sure if I have the programming to be (Name)âs parent.â He said.Â
âNo one does.â The woman grinned softly. âYou just learn, and when something doesnât go as planned, you just make it upâÂ
âBut as far as that baby robot is concerned, youâre their papa,â she smiled.Â
-You would glance at him and giggle. Strangely, this gives Optimus a little confidence boost. The human mother assures him that every parent goes through the doubting phase. If heâs there for you and wants to be your parent, then heâs already doing fine.
-This boosts him more. Maybe he is up for it.Â
-With new energy, he would figure out how to balance work and personal life. Sari said she got him the time to figure it out and had told people that he was on âparental leaveâ. Whatever that meant.Â
-He was grateful. And eventually managed to find a good balance.Â
-He spends most of the time with you and sometimes leaves you with his available team member when he helps with something minor. Ratchet encouraged some break times for him too to avoid burnout.Â
-Your arrival had some positive influence on his team too. They sometimes volunteered to handle the trouble calls, learned to be more responsible, and acted without constantly calling him for guidance. It gave Optimus more time with you and built trust among his team.Â
-And Optimus even warmed up to Grimlock babysitting you at times. The dinobot had learned to be more gentle. Though the dinobot was still convinced that he was the sire.
-One time, Optimus dared to have you shown to Sentinel when the latter visited Earth. Sentinel didn't know what you were at first, having never seen a sparkling before. After the explanations, he would laugh at Optimus, and then call you an accident. Optimus would snap at him, to his and the latter's surprise. Optimus could tolerate Sentinel's insults to him, but to you, absolutely not.
-Sensing your carrier's displeasure toward the big-chinned bot, you began frowning at Sentinel whenever he came around.
-You would crawl away when the bot came to the same room, throw a tantrum if he tried to touch you, and even threw your toys at him. It was a surprise, as you were usually a well-behaved sparkling. Bumblebee found it hilarious and encouraged it.
-All began to look good, and balance was found. Optimus grew into his unexpected role as your parent. He still carried doubts and fears, but since the Allspark had given you to him, he swore to be the parent you needed.
Hey Boo, love your work. Just entered 3 writing contests and now, while I wait I am feeling a bit burnt out. I was hoping we could get some TC reactions to being a writer xxx
Nice! Itâs been a long time since Iâve done any of those, but the ones that offer feedback are definitely worth it. Coffee has been acquired, but I keep looking at the sign for Party Fowl and itâs boozy slushies because itâs right there at my gate đ¤Ł
After AU- Frustrated
Thundercracker x Reader
⢠Smiling as your boyfriend groans loudly, your head turns where youâve got it laid in his lap while he leans against the armrest of the reinforced couch and writes. âEverything okay?â You ask and his optics flick to you, his wings sliding against the back of the couch as he frowns. âYeah, just struggling with a scene. Itâs just, it feels stilted,â he mutters and you wiggle fully onto your back to look up at him better.
⢠Clearing his vents and shrugging when you lift your eyebrows at him, he gestures with the datapad. âOkay, so I need this guy to do something. But itâs something he wouldnât do. Something out of character,â he mutters, getting distracted when you reach up and touch his servos, lazily playing with his hand. âSo he needs a damn good kick in the pants to motivate him?â You say and he almost laughs. âYou could always kill off another minor character that he was attached to. Thatâs a good motivator, especially if it was because of something he didnât do or could have prevented.â
⢠Trying to not laugh at the look of horror on his face, you tug at one of his servos. âYou know theyâre not real, right? Sometimes you have to kill off your imaginary friends for the sake of the plot,â you say and he looks like you just kicked his puppy. âI know that,â he mutters. But Itâs obvious that he doesnât like the idea. âOkay, okay. Maybe use the threat of killing a character off? Someoneâs in mortal danger and only your guy can save them?â You try and his frown deepens as he stares at his datapad. âThat might work,â he mutters.
⢠âNo, because then I canât use the other character in act three,â he murmurs, smiling crookedly when you laugh. âNo, see, Iâve got this whole tragic backstory for them. Heâs really the main characterâs long lost brother and shares the same rare, magic ability with him, so together they finally overcome evil and-â Faltering at the look on your face, he huffs through his vents. âWhat?â He asks and you are laughing at him now.
⢠âI thought this one was scifi?â You ask and he bops you gently in the head with his datapad. âScifi can have magic,â he mutters. âWell, yeah, but have you ever noticed that fantasy canât really have scifi elements or itâs just scifi? Kind of a double standard.â And heâs frowning again, mouth opening and then closing before he bops you again as you grin at him. âOkay, okay. Lay it out for me where you are so far in the story. Give me the cliff-notes version and maybe we can figure out how to motivate your guy without murdering one of your darlings.â
