Recently, I've been trying NOT to be a complete asshole to Perpollo and have started reading some of the fics. And really, it was a mistake because it's either overpowered fem Percy (that barely even resembles the main man himself) or Betrayed Percy. Or the secret worse option, Slut Percy. I hate these types of fics because I really am trying to understand why people like them, and it just keeps disappointing me. It's just not good, and the way they characterize Annabeth disappoints me the most. It just feels out of character for her, or it just feels like a different character with the same name as her. Maybe I'm just sensitive; maybe I just need to understand it better, but I can't like Perpollo when all I see is just poorly disguised fetishes.
