I just watched IPYTM for the second time. I think I navigated it much better this go-round. For me, this show has always been so far beyond any other Thai “BL” show. Not even in the same class. It’s art to me. And I view it and think of it in the same way as art.

It wasn’t created for me to love or to hate. It was created to express the vision of the artist(s). And I think it is doing just that. Unflinchingly.

Art makes us feel.

Weep.

Get angry.

Crave more.

Ask questions.

Remember moments.

And so I’m in it til the end with this precious boys who are fumbling through life the best way they know how right now. I really hope in the end they are still walking side-by-side, a little wiser, a little less innocent, a lot more understanding and open, bruised but not broken. And if they don’t - if in the end in order to be the truest versions of themselves they must part - I will not regret one millisecond spent in this universe of theirs, because they have made me feel things.

I am officially requesting a WinTeam Pirate AU. Star-crossed lovers style, forbidden love between a pirate and a son of a Noblemen, swashbuckling adventure and comedy, childhood friends and ones family runs out of money and he resorted to piracy as a way to provide for them but ends up being a pretty good pirate. The possibilities are endless and my brain is not equipped to make the choices necessary to make a story. Someone please send help in the form of a talented fic writer. I will rejoice in the streets if this AU becomes a reality.
