one year later and they still get excited when they talk about battling each other
couldnt even find a quote that encapsulates the feeling of looking at these images side by side because wdym youre holding a childhood memory photo that his father also has in his house
whats that quote where its like the poem is already there everyone understands it
someone said max didn't even need further explanation on who when gp said "your man" and I'm sick to my stomach. Charles leclerc theyre calling you maxs man in redbull team debriefs are you aware
the concept of it motivating max enough to catch him on like 30 laps old softs
a bit of rally driving
when your team declines your polite request for team order SO YOU THREATEN TO LET MCLARWN IN YOUR ASS
God if nothing entertains me, at least I can always count on George Russell and his team radio's

Superman isn't woke. You're just so evil that you see a man doing acts of kindness and you think it's a targeted political agenda
the Prince of Egypt soundtrack is crazy because dreamworks said hello Mr Zimmer can you please write the soundtrack for speaking with the Divine? and then he did
thinking about what zuko means to azula and weeping. he's a traitor but he's your brother. he held you when you were born. he's banished for being too weak to hurt your father and you learn to hate his goodness. he is somewhere in the world carrying your eyes. he misses your absent mother more than he loves you but that is the price you pay for being the one who stayed. he never grants you this same kindness. you are faster and deadlier and better but it doesn't change the fact that your brave big brother used to tell you stories of dragons every time it stormed because you were so afraid of the thunder. he is the only one who understands what it means to bear the brunt of your bloody inheritance. he crumbled under the weight of it, but you stayed. you always stay. he is half of you. you hate being betrayed.
you don't love him. he's your big brother. who could you possibly love more?
max on his hatred filled press run where he says nothing is doing more to bring attention to the dire state of the fia than the gpda has done since the start of the year but i digress
now don't leave this gem in the tags @formula-fun
to batman, leslie will always to some extent be “the bad guy” by the virtue of her concern- or worse, her rightness in it. she says “someone will get hurt” and if no one gets hurt, or if they get hurt but always bounce back anyway, then she’s an old lady nagging heroic and brave young men for no reason. and if she’s right, if she’s right as she was right about jay, if she’s right as she was right about stephanie, she’s the prophet of tragedies, and no one likes the bearer of the bad news.
we never see leslie’s reaction to jay’s death. she’s not at the funeral. but here’s how the story goes, in my mind: it’s batman and not bruce who tells her. she doesn’t say anything, but maybe he reads it in her expression anyway, no matter if it truly was there – that silent “i told you so,” and in reply he says, out loud: “you were right. happy now?”
so leslie doesn’t came to the funeral. if she was invited at all.
leslie is the kassandra of batman comics... leslie is the only person who will let bruce into her house, but not batman. and yet at the same time she sparsely comes to his home at all, and maybe that's because she would have to scream and say: "the house is reeking blood!" (as kassandra says in carson's take on aeschylus' agamemnon)
and if bruce is leslie's monster because he's the mirror of her guilt then isn't jay bruce's monster. and how it hurts to be someone's fault.
he is not that funny nico pack it up
brocedes lore is crazy. what do you mean nico interviewed alain prost on his podcast. they talk, they laugh, and then, when nico is wrapping the discussion up, as if it's nothing, prost says he hopes nico and lewis can make amends. the world goes on for everyone but nico. he is half-dead on the battlefield, struck through the heart, vision curling around the edges.
he chokes down the shock. he manages to say--oh, yeah, i'd be open to that, casually, as if he isn't split in two, as if the wound is not still fresh. then he begs the wizened old champion to tell him how does someone make amends with their former rival. 'doesn't someone need to apologise first?' his voice caught between bone-deep anxiety and yearning, between the need to keep his composure and the desperate hope that maybe it isn't too late for him to reconcile with lewis.
