Well yes but also no.

Sanji is VERY flirty, but I feel like he would be much more shy about his flirting. He would wait for others (coughcoughZoro) to flirt with him because it makes him feel needed and loved and important and all the good feelings.

So while I feel like he would open up after someone started flirting with him, he'd wait for that move to be made because he's just a very polite person who doesn't want to overstep his boundary.

And if we look at the way he treats Nami and Robin, it's sort of the same way he treats Zoro but like. Reversed. Because sure, he fights with Zoro, but does he really? NO. It's just playful banter between two lovers best friends. So with Nami and Robin, he flirts, but it's much more playful and joking (totally get this, I flirt with my friends all the time lol).

So basically I feel like yes, he would be very flirty once he opens up, someone else would need to make the first move.

Hey there just thinking about how Sanji relies on his independence.

Think about it, Sanji tends to handle things on his own. He's very capable by himself, and even in a group, he tends to lead.

This is because of his childhood. Back in Germa, he spent most of his developmental years being told he wasn't good or strong enough. So now, he overcompensates by doing everything on his own to prove that he is indeed, good and smart and strong.

Now to most people, this just comes off as "oh he's just very independent and capable" but really this boy was so fucked up as a kid that now he overcompensates to prove himself.
