"Mmph... mhm," you managed to nod in reply, your eyes drooping with your body's self-imposed fatigue, and you caught another flash of that toothy, goofy, lovable grin.
"Just relax, y'hear? Mama K's got you," she crooned down at you, eyes glimmering with amusement and affection in equal measure. As she gently massaged your bloating tummy, your eyes fluttered shut once again, but before they did... you could've sworn you saw those slit pupils of hers starting to round out, eager to touch you and watch you find peace beneath her war-torn hands.

As the wind brushed over the quiet afternoon, you found yourself glancing over to the virtual singer, taking in a deep breath; your gaze traveled over his form, before meeting his deep blue eyes with the slightest bit of heat starting to build in your cheeks.
His expression always seemed to bright as he turned to look at you; at first, you'd honestly thought you were imagining it, your lovesick brain scrambling to fill in the blanks for you, until Miku had brought it up to you a few days prior…
'He looks smitten,' is what she'd said, teal eyes sparkling knowingly with a giggle on her lips, and it had stuck with you day and night since then.

At first, she'd tried to ignore you. After helping you pick up your books, hauling you to your feet, and dusting you off subtly with some adorably "mother hen"-ish tendencies to her behavior, she practically sped out of that hallway like she had finally found a passable middle ground between normal human walking and vampiric speed; you had barely managed to squeeze a first name out of her in a mere mumble of just "Rosalie" before she was avoiding your gaze, speaking through clenched teeth. She uttered one last "sorry," as she went, and that was it, it seemed.
You felt... discouraged, to say the least. This wasn't really what you'd expected at all; she'd just brushed you off like it was nothing.
Did⎯ did she somehow not feel it? The connection? Because from all that you had learned in your studies of connections like this, of soul bonds, you knew that if they were true, if they were genuine, and not the effect of some potion, illusionary magick, or even a delusion, both parties would immediately know, upon first being in each other's presence, who their one was.
Especially if both parties were vampiric in nature, considering their enhanced senses.
Yes, you had already 'sniffed out' her little secret, and Emmett's too, in turn, of course. You weren't necessarily surprised; you'd heard of a fair few covens settling in the northernmost states of America over the years, and it was a fine town, Forks, for those wishing to go unnoticed⎯ though, you being what you were, you didn't have to try too hard to blend in.
In almost all physical regards, you appeared human. Your eyes, for the most part, stayed the same color, unless purposefully altered by some magic; your hair was, again, quite average⎯ or, at least, it was in the human ranges of quality, not too 'perfect,' not kept as well as a doll's; it was living... mostly.
You looked relatively unremarkable if compared directly to the Cullens; you passed as human.
The trickier part came with how you registered for other creatures.
Your guardian, Valentin Dubois, had, for a long while by that point, placed a sort of glamour spell over you, for your own safety while out in public; because of this, you didn't just look human⎯ to all the world (other vampires included), you practically were one, the magick he placed on you warping their senses to keep you very well hidden from anyone who might seek to take advantage of your nature in some way.
So, naturally, when you brought up the idea to him of removing said glamour... you were met with a pretty instantaneous 'no.' Even as you begged and pleaded, his stoney grey eyes simply regarded you with an unwavering stare.
"She's my mate, Val, and she might not even know⎯" You told him, voice raising despite yourself, the emotions getting the best of you as your throat tightened around your very words.
However, Valentin quickly cut your argument short.
"If the connection is genuine, dear heart, there is no force on this Earth that could keep her from knowing⎯ not even magic. Not even magic as strong as mine..." He paused briefly, letting you sit with that for a moment before speaking once again.
"...She may not be unaware of your connection, my dear. She may simply be... unprepared for it." He murmured softly, frowning faintly. Your heart felt like it was a rock sinking into your stomach when he said that, but you tried to take a steady breath.
"What does that mean? I'm... I'm made for her, we're made for each other."
"Oh, child..." He gave a pensive sigh, pursing his lips and briefly running his fingers through his silvery blond hair.
"As much as I wish matters such as this were that simple, I'm afraid that I cannot offer you that solace..." He bit his lip, gazing off thoughtfully before starting once more.
"Though soul bonds are unmistakable, irreplaceable, and unbreakable... some things may have changed your mate's view of such things... Living as we do, as she does⎯ it is a difficult existence... very rarely does a story of vampirism have idyllic beginnings..." You realized he was right, despite the stinging feeling in your chest, your jaw clenching softly and your gaze flitting down to the floor.
"Give it time," he murmured after a beat of silence, reaching over to brush his thumb delicately over your cheek. "You have more than enough time to sort this out, don't you, my dear?" He tried to reassure you, humming softly and smiling as you gave him a hesitant nod of agreement.
"Just some time... alright..."
"She'll come to you eventually..."
But she didn't.
In fact, she seemed to be actively avoiding you⎯ and while you tried your best not to let it affect you, not to let it hurt you, it still did. It really, really did... and more people seemed to know that than just you.
"C'mon, Rose⎯" Emmett groaned softly under his breath, leaning on his elbows against the cafeteria table as she stared silently out the window, tracking raindrops as they trailed down the glass.
"You've been avoiding this girl like the freakin' plague, but we all know if you really want someone to leave you alone? You let them know pretty damn quick. So, what's up with all... this? Why're you hanging her out to dry like this?"
He was lucky, Rosalie thought, that he had been speaking too quietly for the human Populus of Forks High School to hear⎯ or else she probably would have had to smack him upside the head for talking about this in such a public space. Much to her chagrin, she was almost certain that was the exact reason he chose right then and right there to start this conversation; so she wouldn't be able to make a scene or run away from it⎯ at least, not without calling even more unwanted attention to herself. For someone with the reputation of an absolute meathead, he was a lot smarter than he looked, she thought to herself glumly.
"You know why I can't let her in, Emmett," she muttered after a moment, amber-colored eyes scanning the cafeteria until they landed on you. She hated how her heart seemed to jump into her throat with a mere glance.
This wasn't fair... this wasn't fair to either of you.
You were, as far as she knew, entirely human. Charming and sweet and earnest and devastatingly beautiful, but human. And she... she couldn't offer you everything she wanted to. She couldn't offer you anything at all, actually⎯ Edward was already putting the coven at risk enough by being with Bella, and they both knew that the arrangement was unlikely to end well. What kind of a selfish hypocrite would she be to do the exact same as he had?
Even as she tried to deny her yearning for you, turning away from your prying gaze, she could still feel the blossoming ache in her chest; unluckily for her, Emmett could very much see it, too.
"So, what, then? You're just gonna agonize over it every time you're close to her? She's your mate, Rose⎯ you're really just gonna let her walk away because you're scared?"
The glare she gave him was withering, but as she noticed his own expression shift into one of surprise, gazing past her head, she practically whipped around in her seat, met with a sight that almost wiped her mind clean.
There you were, standing but a yard away, looking at her with an expression like a deer in headlights; briefly, she took notice of a scrap of paper clutched in your slightly shaky hand.
Gathering your nerve, you took a breath and walked directly past their table, slipping the note in front of her rather fluidly as you passed.
As you walked off, a soft huff left your lips, finally releasing the breath you'd been holding.
Unbeknownst to you, Rosalie, very softly, did the same, turning over the paper in her pale, elegant hand.
'Hey. Meet me at the diner on Friday. 5 PM. We need to talk.'
Her breath seemed to catch again as her eyes scanned over the words, and Emmett hummed, glancing at the note and then back up to her again.
"Don't," she warned him, but he swiftly ignored her plea.
"So... what now?"
She paused, nose briefly wrinkling with the slightest bit of annoyance, anxiety slowly building in her chest as she considered the message before her. Folding the small paper, she took another short breath.
"I... I guess there's only one choice, here." She pondered, biting the inside of her cheek and turning the folded paper over in her palm.
"I have to go and end this before it starts..."

Most people would agree, you were sure, that getting sloppy drunk around someone you were secretly harboring feelings for was a dangerous game to play. And considering who, in particular, the object of your affections appeared to be, you were sure that most people in the situation you'd put yourself in presently, would be absolutely shitting bricks.
But, in any case, it was a bit too late to back down, now, you dimly realized as you leaned your head against Frank's shoulder, the scent of beer and blood and gunpowder and this pure... essence of him invading your nostrils, enveloping you in him as you sat by his side, happy as a clam and humming contently under your breath.
Besides, you tried to drunkenly reason with yourself as you settled against him briefly, we're both adults here, anyway. And he's a sweetheart. If I tell him, he'll let me down easy.
"You're such a gentleman," you slurred softly, smiling dreamily into his shoulder as he almost choked on his latest sip of beer⎯ a low chuckle left him at that, and even with your eyes partially⎯ well, halfway⎯ well, mostly⎯ closed, you could still feel him shaking his head and sucking his teeth, giving you a small, teasing 'tch' that made your stomach flutter.
"You got a fuckin' weird definition of 'gentleman,' L/N," he rumbled out, taking another slow sip before wrapping his arm softly, but securely, around your shoulders, keeping you upright, and in the process, up against him. You could feel even more heat rising to your cheeks at that, even as an irritated, yet still playful, sigh left your lips.
"'M being serious, Frank⎯" you pouted, reluctantly shifting in his grip and pulling your head away to look at him more directly, humming pleasantly once again at the sight of his face.
He eyed you with some amusement, taking another slow pull from his bottle as he waited for you to elaborate, brow slightly raised. A low... heat pooled in your stomach when you saw his tongue briefly dart out over his chapped lips, just as his thumb brushed over the skin of your upper arm, goose pimples raised up just under his warm, calloused hand.
"You're so gentle with me," you mumbled out finally, a feverish sort of sigh leaving you. His eyes traveled over you briefly, gaze grazing over your face and your body as you practically scrunched yourself into a ball by his side, soaking in his warmth. God, the urge you had to straddle his lap…
“What, ya want me to treat ya rougher?” He joked under his breath, eyes curious as he continued to regard you, and your breath caught briefly in your throat at that. You could see a smirk starting to form in response to your reaction, the corners of his mouth ticking upwards. Shithead.
“No,” you puffed, shifting again in your seated position, stretching out one of your long legs as pins and needles started to prickle at your feet.
“‘S nice, the way you treat me like ‘m delicate,” you slurred softly, watching your foot as you rotated your ankle idly, forgetting yourself. “Makes me feel like a… like a lady,” you purred.
There was a beat of silence as you moved your other leg down, planting your feet hesitantly on the ground, and then turning slightly to look at him again, eyes once again half-lidded— the look he was fixing you with almost froze you entirely; he looked… hazy, yes, because of the alcohol, but the desire in his eyes was unmistakable.
“That’s ‘cause you are a lady, sweetheart,” he murmured, a slightly playful edge to his tone, barely there, but still noticeable to you.
“Mmmmyeah,” you replied mindlessly, breath feeling heavy, almost stifled, as you leaned in closer, centimeter by centimeter, almost. Even with all the nerve you’d gathered just to say these things, it still wasn’t quite enough— but it’d have to do.
“Wanna kiss you, Frank,” you murmured softly, your eyes nearly fully closed as you felt his breath hot on your lips, his hand coming up to rest on your cheek…
The next thing you knew, you had a pounding headache, the limited sunlight streaming in through gaps in the curtains of the motel room almost blinding to your poor senses.
“Rise ‘n’ shine, sweetheart,” Frank snorted as you buried your face in a pillow with a low groan, refusing his offer of water.

The former angel was still... adjusting to godhood, as one might expect from someone in his predicament. The hands of his vessel were wrapped securely, but not too tightly, around his white cane, and they felt oddly... cold. Cold in a way they hadn't ever felt before.
His lips, slightly chapped by the winds of an oncoming storm, pursed softly as the breeze passing by ruffled his dark brown hair.
He felt... Alone.
And, until quite recently, he believed that he was. That he always would be.
After taking the plunge for his doomed brother, taking the responsibility in his hands that no one else in their ranks sought to bear, petrified by the monumental undertaking that gaining such powers would require...
After gaining all the knowledge that had been thrust into him without warning, expanding his consciousness past its natural bounds without any sort of reprieve...
Well, there was a reason that very few people could ever bear the weight and the consequences of this role, and the powers that came with it; that, he now understood all too well.
In the most literal sense, the world now rested upon his shoulders. Not necessarily Earth, as it was a shared territory, but Heaven? Heaven looked to him now; legions of angels, from the fledglings to the fully grown, to even the archangels, now sought his guidance, residing under his leadership.
He, the blinded angel; he, who had paid a terrible price as consequence for a task he would have never been able to accomplish in time. He, the outcasted and scorned. He, who had failed.

He'd heard a great many theories from the mouths of his siblings, some accusatory, some merely curious, some questioning his abilities to lead the forces of Heaven at all.
In truth, while he could deny most of those hypotheses, he could confirm none.
Not even he could truly pinpoint why he had not restored his sight, or even healed the remains of his charred and gouged eyes... it was merely intuition that led him to that decision; that, and he did not need his vision so desperately.
What he needed, what he relied on... was his heart.
And that very heart had led him to you.
He briefly inclined his head as leaves crunched behind him, his grip on the cane loosening somewhat while some very familiar footsteps came up to his side. A content sigh left your lips as he reached out, wrapping one arm snugly around your waist, tucking you into his side; safe and sound.
Warmth radiated from your very being, so divine that he could taste it; you may have been only human, but to him? You were starlight on Earth.
"Brooding again, Camael?" You teased softly, pressing a gentle kiss to his jaw and nestling your head into the crook of his neck. He smiled briefly, a low chuckle rumbling in his chest as the distant storm seemed to recede.

The two of you froze almost instantly, her honey-colored eyes piercing your own as you felt heat rising to your face.
As the situation unfolded, Emmett had already sidestepped to try and give you some room, immediately trying (and failing) to withhold a chuckle. Both you and he watched Rosalie's expression with bated breath, the latter anticipating having to intervene in a moment or two to save the newbie from a tongue-lashing; however, much to his surprise, no such harsh words arrived for you.
Instead, the blonde, still nearly frozen to the spot, simply let you go, sucking in a breath and blinking harshly, her gaze averting from you and towards the wall; what was this... fuzzy feeling forming in her chest? Why was it so overwhelming?
After a moment of studying her still, you finally snapped back to reality, stooping over to grab your books, and surprisingly... the ice queen herself joined you in your efforts, her lips pursed and eyes flitting madly back and forth across the floor of the hall as she tried to think of what to say while passing you your books.

Hi! Would it be alright to request something for Rosalie? Maybe where R is the new girl in town/school and just so happens to be Rosalies mate.. however Rosalie doesn't want to "taint" R or ruin her life, so she tries to stay away not knowing she hurting R too since already knows.. R is a hybrid, (vampire/witch). R has enough and confronts Rosalie teary eyed saying "if you don't want me just tell me." Or" does being my mate really digust you that much?". But in the end it's all fluff and love?

His arms would wrap around you in a solid and warm, but not too tight, pressure, his chin resting atop your shoulder or your head, thumb brushing between your shoulder blades as you’d breathe in the musky scent that was indescribably him. "Oh my," you sighed, looking out the nearest window with a furrowed brow. Kaito's head cocked in your direction, eyes briefly flitting to your restless fingers as they tapped softly on the windowsill.
"Hm?" He prodded you to continue your spoken thought as he stepped across the floor to join you.
"Where's the day gone?" You lamented, leaning your chin against your palm with a soft sigh. As Kaito approached, though, your glum gaze turned away from the setting sun, towards the cobalt vocaloid lingering just behind your opaque reflection in the cold glass.
"It's barely the end of a work day and the sky is already dark," you pointed out, a pout on your lips as he gave a soft, melodic hum in response, eyes briefly shifting past you to observe the darkening horizon. A small smile began to lift the corners of his mouth as you turned to look at him fully.
"What?" Amusement was already in your eyes as you inquired curiously about his expression, and he became bashful when he met your gaze head-on, clasping his hands behind his waist.
"Well… you know, shorter days mean longer nights, and more stargazing," he pointed out, brightening visibly as a shy smile came to your lips.
"Hm… I suppose you're right about that… would you mind showing me, Kaito?"
