🔥CALLSIGN: BIRDIE🔥 THE END
I don't really know how to say goodbye to this story.
I've been staring at this page for a long time, trying to find the right words, but the truth is — there aren't any that feel big enough. Writing this story became something far deeper than a project or a pastime. It became a place I could go when the world felt too loud, too heavy, or too lonely. These characters lived with me. I carried them through my days, through sleepless nights, through moments when I needed them just as much as they needed each other.
Letting them go hurts more than I expected.
Elsie, Slovacek, Sullivan, Cope... they weren't just names on a page. They were heartbeats. They were grief and laughter, anger and hope, love found in the most unforgiving places. They taught me how people survive loss, how love doesn't erase pain but makes it bearable, and how some bonds — quiet, forbidden, unspoken — can be just as powerful as the ones celebrated out loud.
This ending breaks my heart because it means the story is complete. Because there are no more chapters waiting to be written, no more moments where I can sit down and ask myself what would they do next? Saying goodbye feels like closing a door on people I grew to love deeply. And yes — there is grief in that. Real grief. The kind that surprises you.
But this story was never mine alone.
If you are reading this, please know this: you mattered more than you will ever realize. Every read, every comment, every quiet moment where someone chose to stay with this story a little longer — it meant everything. You gave these characters a life beyond my own imagination. You made this story real. You carried it with me.
Thank you for trusting me with your time, your emotions, and your hearts. Thank you for crying with me, for loving these characters, for believing in their love even when it was messy, painful, or uncertain. Stories like this only exist because someone is willing to listen.
I will miss this world. I will miss them. And I will miss meeting you here.
But I hope, with all my heart, that something from this story stays with you...
...the love, the courage, the quiet understanding that even in loss, something beautiful can still grow.
Thank you for being here until the very end.
I couldn't have done this without you.
And now the big announcement I've been waiting to share with you:
There will be a sequel, a second part to this story titled Callsign: Ghostlight. Sullivan, Cope, Elsie, and Slovacek will return, but the heart of the story will shift. The next story belongs to Hicks — his voice, his choices, his way of carrying what came before into something new.
If this story meant something to you, I hope you'll stay with me into the next one.
The story will return on December 26, 2025. Stay tuned — I've already started writing, and I truly can't wait for you to experience what's coming next.
So, what can you expect from Hicks' story?
• A glimpse into everyday life on the military base
• The married life of Elsie Lane and Nicholas Slovacek
• Devastating, long-buried secrets between Liam Sullivan and Cameron Cope
• A deeper look into who Hicks really is
• A mysterious, above-all-ranks girl who seems to run the place — and yet she becomes hopelessly entangled with Hicks
• Plenty of excitement, twists, secrets, passion... and, of course, love
Some stories don't truly end.
They just wait for the next heartbeat.
Thank you for being here, and see you soon in Callsign: Ghostlight
