“Say… Judy?”

This took me awhile, I literally cried once while drawing this.

After 30 years in the force, Nick goes into retirement, having his last cafe hang out with Judy as a cop before passing out of the force.

14 years later, Nick dies to natural causes.

Judy keeps his handkerchief in memory.

Why did I draw this? Maybe it’s because of the repeated 7 Years by Lukas Graham playing non-stop in my playlist.

Duke is one of Steph’s Robin’s because Steph is actually pretty metaphysically important to Duke’s stories. You could argue that Steph was the first We Are Robin kid in the sense that she was one of the first ‘normal gotham kids’ to just start fighting crime and she even made herself a home made Robin costume. Also the main antagonists of the We Are Robin kids were the Talons and the Court of Owls. You know the secret society that Steph’s father was able to uncover by himself and steal from and a Talon killed Arthur Brown. Also Robin War directly followed events from Batman Eternal which reintroduced Steph to the new 52

What a wholesome family set

I’ve seen some comments and tags pondering what happens if the child does not to follow her parents into an underground culture. Of course, I do not know this family, but for the time I have spend in underground groups and people, I’d say you do not find more open minded and kinder folk anywhere else (excluding the subculture elitists, who want to put you into this tight box under a certain label - just what the “normal” people would do).

I once interviewed a couple, where the husband was a heavy metal guy and the wife was a goth. They had a 6yo daughter, who was dressed just normally and looked like any other kid. The parents said that while they are part of these underground cultures, they are not expecting their daughter to follow them. The daughter can be whatever or whoever she wishes to be, and make her own decisions.

Because that’s what good parents do! They do not expect children to be mini copies of them, but allow them to be persons and individuals of their own while loving them and supporting them.

So, I’m suspecting from my personal experience that this lovely little princess is doing just fine, no matter how she grew up to be :3
