I get news articles about One Piece alllll the time on my phone. I was going to read one about how Yamato would get along with the Strawhats... But the article starts off with using she/her pronouns for Yamato. And I was just like... Nah. Your opinion is immediately invalid. Not even going to bother to read this. He LITERALLY refers to himself with he/him pronouns and so does everyone else. Its pride month for fuck sake. Get with it.

let's start with Sanji. I have a lot of feelings about Sanji. to no one's surprise I love him, but there's no denying he's an awful lil man, mainly cause oda wants him to be.

I love what Sanji is when he's not the mouthpiece for Odas perverted jokes and desires.

he's funny and charming and strategic. he's deeply emotional and in tune with his crew, and values their lives well above his own.

but he's also...y'know....a disgusting, disrespectful gross man? even if oda has shown his character to be more than that, all the character development goes out the window for a cheap gag...oh well. I love Sanji and I'll continue to ignore the awful side of him, it's not even in-character in my eyes.

USOPP TIME. I LOVE USOPP.

listen ever since I started one piece back when I was 14 I pointed at usopp and said "that me"

he's me!! ive never related to a character like I do with usopp. his anxieties and insecurities, the way his first instinct is to run and find excuses, I can relate. but he overcomes this!! he overcomes his fears and if usopp did it then I could too!

he's so talented and sweet, and everyone's best friend. I care about usopp so much. I wanna give him the world. I really hope Oda lets him shine even brighter.

Ok I know I'm late to the party, but I just watched the 1000th episode of One Piece. I teared up at the nostalgia of the opening- And then proceeded to ugly cry throughout the entire rest of the episode. I love this story so so much and I am so attached to these characters I just shshdjkshbsldnksosbs
