Some of you have asked what are some other things I can put in these Cereal Containers. Here is a great recipe and idea :) Ingredients CUSTOME RECIPE: *1 1/2 cups raw nuts i.e. almonds, pecans, cashews, peanuts etc.. *1 cup raw seeds i.e. sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc... *1 cup unsweetened, unsulphured dried fruit *Fun stuff (amounts vary) i.e. 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate, *1 cup popped popcorn, 1 cup pretzels etc.. Spice i.e. 1/4 tsp sea salt, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg (optional) MY GO-TO TRAIL MIX RECIPE: 3/4 cup raw pecans (I toast mine in the oven for 10 mins at 350 degrees F) 3/4 cup raw cashews (I toast mine in the oven for 10 mins at 350 degrees F) 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds 1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup unsweetened, unsulfured cherries 1/2 cup unsweetened, unsulfured raisins 1/2 cup chopped 82% dark chocolate 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon pinch of nutmeg Instructions Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Store in a ziploc bag or mason jar. Will keep for up to 1 month. Notes Optional: If you really need the extra sweetness, you can coat the mix with 2 T maple syrup, spread it out on a baking sheet and allow it to dry before bagging. Benefit #4: Many Variations One of the best benefits of pullups is that there are so many different variations of the pullup. The great thing is that one variation doesn’t require any additional equipment than another variation. All you’ve got to do is change up your grip. My favorite variation is the regular ole’ fashioned wide, overhand pullup. This is the best variation for getting your lats to grow nice and wide. Some other variations are close grip, and reverse grip pullups (also known as chinups). I find that all of these variations do a great job of targeting my back, but reverse grip pullups (chinups) place more emphasis on the biceps. Benefit #5: Grip Strength having good grip strength is a must. Fortunately, pullups are the perfect exercise for strengthening your grip. Benefit #6: Fat Loss It’s not quite like running on a treadmill or jumping rope, but pullups will get your heart rate up and really kick your butt. Prevent Shoulder Pain on Chest Day Prevent Shoulder Pains Shoulder pain is quite common for people that target their chest. Even still, many do not understand that shoulders are involved with pectoral focused exercises almost as much as your triceps are. This excessive use of your shoulders may cause potential harm if you are not giving them a good warm up. The purpose behind a warm up is to take your joints and tendons through different ranges of motion to basically loosen them up. Tendons easily become tense, especially after a workout. When they get stiff, the muscle can become injured while trying to lengthen and shorten during contractions. The best warm up movement would be the arm circle rotations. Another aspect to look at would be adjusting the cable machine from high, middle and low. Yes each variation of the cable flye has something more beneficial to offer, but when it comes to chest training you do still target your pecs regardless. If you feel shoulder pain from doing the cable flye or shoulder workouts, on one pulley setting, then consider adjusting to a different position. What is carb cycling? 🥖 Carb cycling is a method of dieting that involves planned increases and decreases in carbohydrate intake (and generally in caloric intake as well). There are many different carb cycling protocols, but most have you alternate between at least two of three types of days: 🎉High-carb days High-carb days typically call for 2 to 2.5 grams of carbohydrate per pound of body weight. They are usually your highest calorie days. 🏋️Low-carb days Low-carb days typically call for about 0.5 grams of carbohydrate per pound of body weight. They are usually your second-highest calorie days. 😟No-carb days No-carb days typically call for less than 30 grams of carbohydrate. They are usually your lowest calorie days. If all that sounds complicated to you, that’s because, as far as dietary strategies go, it is. You need to be meticulous in your meal planning and steadfast in your compliance. We’re often told that carbs are a double-edged sword. The story goes like this: On one hand, they’re conducive to muscle growth by fueling our workouts and creating a more anabolic environment in our bodies. On the other hand, they’re conducive to fat storage by spiking insulin levels, which “feeds” our body fat with precious glucose for it to store. Thus, a predicament: We need carbs if we want to build muscle and strength as quickly as possible…but we have to pay the price of an ever-expanding waistline. Or do we?
