it should be socially acceptable to roll around on the ground groaning in pain . it wouldnt help get rid of the pain but i would feel a little better about it
Whumpee crying, sobbing and letting out chocked “plea—sto—” as their head gets repetitively shoved under water, their lungs burning as they cough and gasp for air each time their head is lifted.
All they want is for it to be over, they don’t even care about the reason this is happening anymore, just please let them breathe, please.
i love when an emotionally inept character who thinks they have no one, gets wrecked and ralphed and Goes Through It before waking up with like seven people worriedly hovering over them, hands pressing against their face, telling them to stay down and that they're okay. and then character, who thought these people just tolerated them at best, proceeds to get coddled for the next week and then every week after that.
An immortal god (whumpee) who fights a mortal (whumper), but the first one looses ad the mortal leaves a scar on them, to remind that they lost against a mere mortal (maybe the scar is in a visible part of the body (ex: on the face)

A gods screams are a terrible thing. The earth itself shakes and trembles from such a sound. The very air becomes tainted by it. All around creatures run, forests bend, stones shatter. All around, all, recoil in fear.
All, but not Whumper.
In the chaos of the aftermath, only one person stands unfazed. One mortal.
Whumpee stumbles.
They hadn't bled in centuries. They hadn't felt this much rage, this much sorrow, this much pain, this much-
Nothing in centuries had moved them.
Nothing untill Whumper.
"Gods can bleed then."
Whumper's voice isn't challenging. Not boisterous or goading.
"I hope you can scar too."
Whumpee has lost all capacity for conversation. They let out another horrible scream. Whumper doesn't flinch.
"I've had hubris enough coming here. I will not sin further by believing I will leave."
Whumpee snarls, not far from a wounded animal, getting desperate. Some would think gods may be above trivial things such as pain, or fear. But some should remember that gods are far more ancient than pain, or fear. It only makes sense that they would be the ones that brought such thing into the world.
"So if I shall die here, If I won't kill you here- I at least know I shall take you into death with me either way. Every time you'll look at yourself, you'll remember what you've done. What you turned me into. You'll remember who you can never be again."

the kind they sell for big dogs. it comes with a mat for the bottom and a tarp to put over it at night. no lock, sadly. but whumpee will learn what happens to their fingers when they try to stick them out to fiddle with the latch. they'll be well trained in no time.

I'm just imagining caretaker hesitating when needing to check whumpee's pulse because of a huge bruise right on the spot where they need to lress down. Or Whumpee groaning and whining when needing to be moved because they're sore everywhere <3
Prince x Royal Guard story where the knight is sworn to protect their prince at any cost, and jokes all the time about it. "you know I'd die for you" as they indulge every request.
Except, it's the Prince who ends up taking a blow to protect his Knight instead <3
