when you see someone on TV or the internet complaining about something "kids" are doing, ask yourself how many times - if ever - you've actually seen it happen vs how many times you've seen random third parties whine about it.

Something that really effs me up is how a large amount of society's "undesirable" adjectives are traits you can acquire due to disability.

Unemployed. Lives with their parents. Provides little to no economic value. Physically weak. NEET. Social outcast. Burden on others. Useless. Out of shape. Needs special care and attention. Over-sensitive. Medication-reliant.

Regardless if you're disabled it is your job to try to do your best to be the best person you can- most disabled people can work even if it's not traditional jobs or provide household task.

The idea that we're automatically grouping disability in with NEET, unemployed losers who had no value into society seems like a little bit ableism to me.

Everyone regardless of disability status or any other status can add value into society and I think we have a moral obligation to.

You have a moral obligation to add value into your community that doesn't necessarily mean adding to stock prices- it could be spreading joy into someone's day, or doing basic house chores we're just trying things to make life a little better for everyone around you.

Chores cost spoons, so does taking care of my health and hygiene, so does any other obligation I have to fulfil. I have to constantly decide what to use my spoons on, and try not to use them all, burning myself out. I'd love to be to contribute to a community, but those contributions cost lots of spoons, which severely impacts my health for a long time. Honestly, today I don't feel like spreading joy. I am bitter that I am disabled, having to prove myself to everyone because I have an invisible illness, desperately wanting help, but existing in a society that finds me undesirable.
