"Jinx left so Vi wouldn't have to choose between them, she left so Vi could finally be happy"
Is anyone else bothered by the implication that a relatively NEW girlfriend would be capable of making someone just as if not MORE happy than healing their relationship with their sister, who they spent YEARS wanting to make up with?
Me personally, I can get over a bad breakup. But if either of my sisters DIED, or simply chose to actively walk out of my life forever, that would fucking break me. I would not, in fact, move on. And maybe it's different for you guys, but Vi consistently spent an entire season trying to find and make up with Jinx. I don't know what the hell happened in season 2, but her saying "the only thing that kept me going was the thought of getting back to you" about her 7-year prison sentence doesn't sound like "I'll be better off with this girl I've dated for a total of 2 weeks".
Why is there an immediate assumption that any romantic relationship holds just as much if not MORE weight than any platonic/familial one? I'm sorry but why is it even a contest? I'm fully convinced that in season 1, had Jinx not demanded Vi kill Caitlyn- aka take a life, ANY life- and instead asked for LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE, she'd have done it. Remember what she said? She said they could leave the entire city behind, just the two of them, and never come back. She was ready to leave their home, leave Caitlyn, leave all of it, for Jinx. Because at the end of the day, all she wanted was her sister back. But suddenly season 2 rolls around and it's "Caitlyn makes her happier." When? Where? How? I don't see any scenes of Caitlyn making Vi happy. Oh but she did hit her though, after getting upset that Vi didn't want her to shoot at a kid.
I'm sick of romantic relationships being taken as "naturally" being the priority. Maybe if you're married with kids or something, you'll prioritize your partner over your friends, sure (but if you have kids they still take priority over your partner IMO). But a 2-week-long situationship? I've known people who get ghosted after longer than that. Fucking be real with me.
I'm simply not convinced that Caitlyn should matter this much to Vi so quickly. It shouldn't even be a competition. I genuinely cannot imagine Vi, who's SOLE MOTIVATION in season 1 was Jinx, and who's SOLE MOTIVATION in EVERY UNIVERSE and TIMELINE was her FAMILY, would ever "move on" and "be happier" with any romantic partner. Callous as it may sound, she can always get another girlfriend. There's no replacing her sister.
I hate people who don't understand Harley and Joker's relationship. "Soulmates!" "Me and him?" No. Just..No. It's literally abuser x abused. It's victim x abuser. Pls don't ship them.
Have never actually shipped them but I think it's hilarious that my (piece of shit) ex considered herself the joker and I've always connected to Harley Quinn :)
I hope you've healed and got the peace you deserved, like Harley did too :)

I agree with you op, but what's with thoes haircuts??? We have millennial hipster (-beard) hair dick, porcupine Damian, and Tim looks greasy????
Idk man I don't like it either 😭😭 Don't get me wrong, I love the comic, but I dislike their haircuts
Good morning to the 10 other jayrena shippers
So for some reason (either a glitch or an oversight) I have access to international internet now, and I don't know how long that will last so let me update you:
In the past week, at least 17000 people were murdered and shot in cold blood in the streets of Iran. These people were unarmed, most of them were teenagers. What was their crime? Protesting. Standing up against their oppressive dictator regime. Almost immediately from 8th of January they cut us off from internet. Complete blackout. We couldn't even text each other, we couldn't call each other. People couldn't call for an ambulance when they saw their friends and family getting shot. The IRG wouldn't let anyone help those that were dying. Now they've taken the bodies hostage, either demanding money before handing them back to their family or harassing the family to bury them at dawn so no one can gather. Thousands have lost their sight. Thousands are in custody and the regime does not need legal reasons for executing them.
The Islamic republic officials have made up different stories about this. First they said all those who protested were terrorists funded by America or Israel. Then they said thousands were killed by ISIS, not them. Now they blame every western power for everything that happened. Not one admits to what actually happened. They see themselves as God, whoever disagrees with them is not a human and must die. This is not an exaggeration.
It's been a week since the bloodbath. All the cities are in martial law. You're not allowed to go out at night, they will either shoot you, arrest you, or confiscate your phone.
Meanwhile the regime is trying it's fucking best to normalize everything. Don't let them.

Tim Drake says Fuck ICE
why I can I see literally every iteration of Batman doing this 🤣
is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?
I was woken up (in the dream) by my girlfriend to the news that our roommate, (who had irl just gone to a mental health ward) had died and was being unethically reincarnated. the text she showed me in the dream was from her friend going "my best friend just DIED. and theyre turning her into a JUJUTSU KAISEN CHARACTER"
it was a deeply serious and horrifying thing, because she was simply getting isekaied into jjk, and presumably wouldnt have any powers or anything.
Why do ppl make Tim a coffee addict?? Doesn't he drink soda in the comics?? I've only seen like, ONE panel of him wanting anything with caffeine?? Where did the headcanon originate from?? I'm so curious
I’ve heard some people say that they hate the “caffeine addict” Tim head canon but I’d like to remind people that the head canon actually has roots to the comics:
Tim is known to have a lot of sleeplessness due to stress and his perfectionism
We don’t really see a lot of coffee cups lay around the batcave or whatever
But it’s safe to say that he definitely stays up late at night for detective work
If Tim says in a future comic that he’s a “caffeine addict” it wouldn’t be a stretch
I don’t know if fans understood Tim’s character that well that they coincidentally headcanoned him loving coffee but it definitely holds merit
Hopefully this stops unnecessary debates ✌🏼
So here's the thing (well...three things):
One, that coffee panel is one of approximately 3-4 times across the entirety of Tim's appearances that we've seen him buy and/or drink coffee on panel. This is, mind you, despite Tim having a 183-issue solo series as Robin, a 26-issue solo series as Red Robin, and co-starring in both Batman comics and two team books (Young Justice and Teen Titans) regularly for 33 years. It does not, in fact, "have its roots in the comics."
Canonically, Tim enjoys tea (which is coincidentally what he's taking from Alfred in your first panel, if I remember correctly) and loves Zesti soda, which is (more-or-less) the in-universe equivalent of Pepsi:
Tim definitely has sleep issues, but they are not the result of a coffee addiction; rather, they're the result of purposeful, forced late nights to engage in case work. Actually, frankly his chronic "falling asleep in random locations" issue wouldn't be possible if he were a coffee addict.
Canonically, Barbara is the coffee addict of the Batfam, to the point where she has canonically been teased about it. Babs' ever-present coffee cup in her hands and/or next to her computer was a running gag for quite literally years, even in the New 52 era when DC refused acknowledge Oracle existed:
So like...if you want a coffee addict, Babs is right there.
Two, the problem is not necessarily the fanon that Tim loves and is slightly addicted to coffee. The problem is that fanon warps that otherwise harmless headcanon into a personality trait, where Tim's depiction in fandom content revolves around coffee and his love of it. It's obnoxious at the best of times, and significantly worse when it (as it often is) the harbinger of several other fanon!Tim traits. Which of course, brings me to...
Three, the backlash to coffee addict!Tim isn't actually about whether or not he actually likes coffee, but because it's an effective shorthand for all of the stuff that encompasses fanon!Tim, which people in the fandom who actually read comics tend to REALLY dislike. It was a small but obviously noticable thing people could point to that signaled to comic readers that so many fans not only don't read comics but go "fuck reading comics, all my homies hate reading comics," especially when it came to a) characterizing Tim and b) depicting canon events in fan-produced content.
The point is not really "does Tim actually canonically like coffee" or "is there a basis in canon for saying so." The point is "this is a small but very visible sign that you are probably about to encounter a version of Tim Drake written by someone who genuinely has no fucking clue how Tim Drake actually canonically acts, nor do they understand the actual context behind certain canon events and interactions they are about to attempt to depict."
To put it a much simpler way: comic readers think fanon Tim sucks, and fanon!Tim's coffee addiction became a flashpoint for how we talk about our dislike for fanon Tim because it's a very simple and obvious thing people can point to and say "that's simply wrong."
