Bound For Glory series 2013
Now I know we’re a few weeks into it but here I will rate how I see the odds of the people’s chances of winning the Bound For Glory 2013 series. 1. Aj Styles 2. Samoa Joe 3. Jeff Hardy 4. Mr. Anderson 5. Austin Aries 6. Robert Roode 7. Christopher Daniels 8. Magnus 9. Kaz 10. Hernandez 11. Joseph Park 12. Jay Bradley
Mark my words: A.J. Styles is the death nail of the Aces and 8s.
Like the title suggests, I think A.J. Styles will be the undoing of the Aces and Eights.
Just hear this theory a moment.
The whole thing with Aces and 8s began when Bully Ray beat Storm in their final BFG series match. From that point on James Storm became a favorite target of the Aces and 8s. Bully Ray over that whole period became a fan favorite fighting them off. He would carry that all the way to Lockdown where he would become TNA world champion. It was only after that victory that he revealed himself as the grand mastermind for the whole thing. Bottom line, we never should have trusted him to begin with.
So what does this have to do with A.J. Styles? Simple.
The whole thing now is Styles is all upset because nobody believes in him anymore. Following the whole ordeal with Bad Influence and Claire Lynch we’ve given up on the “Phenomenal One”. We don’t know what side he is on anymore and he looks poised to join the Aces and 8s. They seem to think that if they can recruit A.J. and a get a “cut” on him that they will be truly unstoppable.
So?
So A.J. Styles WILL join them. We’ll spend months and months bitching and moaning how we lost our great hero. Aces and 8s will brag nonstop about how nobody can stop this machine. All the while A.J. is actually undoing this group from the inside-out. The whole ordeal ends with A.J. Styles taking the world title back “For the good guys”. Then TNA has the title back and no more Aces and 8s. Thus showing that we never should have had our faith shaken in our golden boy.
Essentially it’s the Aces and 8s story but almost in reverse. Instead of trusting our hero only to be duped, we don’t trust the douchebag only to find out that we actually should have been all along.
And that’s the way I see it.
I want everyone to send me their best wrestling catchphrases with "Sloth" cleverly inserted into it somehow and I will reblog them!

Dolph Ziggler as champion
I just hope that no matter how long Ziggler is the champion, even if he sets the record set by Sammartino, that we never, ever, forget that the only reason he got the title in the first place is due to Jack Swagger.
Here are my bullet point predictions on who is going to win. I won't write out long diatribes backing up my ideas but if you want to send me an ASK or a comment I'll be happy to :) So without further ado:

Wrestlemania baby!
Tonight is Wrestlemania (obviously lol) I'll be posting later today with some predictions. A legendary streak on the line.
A title match with patriotism on the line? And an unlikely patriot? The rematch of the century with many questions surrounding it.
But what do you, my lovely readers, want to see me weigh in with?
Hey remember Wade Barrett around Survivor Series?
So back around Survivor Series last fall Paul Heyman was looking to recruit guys for Team Punk *which later became Team Ziggler*. Barrett would go on to join the team with the agreement that Paul Heyman would owe him a favor.
Remember that? Barrett went on to eliminate then IC Kofi Kingston before being eliminated later by The Miz. Because of this Barrett would go onto defeat Kofi later and became the Intercontinental Champion yet again. Team Ziggler would win that match but no mention of what Barrett was owed from Heyman was ever brought up.
Fast forward to Wrestlemania 29. Wade Barrett defending the IC belt he's carried since about that time against ...The Miz, the man who eliminated him at Survivor Series. But that's not the match that interests me.
That match is Brock Lesnar vs Triple H. I think this would be a prime opportunity for the Barrett Barrage to cash in his favor. He helps Brock topple HHH and Heyman gives him his favor in the form of his managerial services and a one way ticket to the main event. What an unstoppable 3 man stable of Lesnar, CM Punk and now Wade Barrett would make.
Just saying.
Okay so I'm not looking to start a whole thing over who is better The Rock or John Cena. We all have our opinions and we stand pretty steadfastly by them. So just hear me out. I just have 1 basic question.
At Wrestlemania 29 does Rock have anything to prove? Wrestlemania 28 he beat John Cena with a decisive 3 count. The match was epic and it delivered on every level we hoped it would. Cena has said that for the past year he's had to live with this kind of disappointment and black cloud over his head. That losing to The Rock really took him out of his game. Cena says that he has to prove that he can win the big one. That he is not only as good as The Rock that he is better and that he CAN win the big one.
Okay but what about the WWE Champion? He said he'd beat Cena last year and he did. He said he'd be WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble and beat CM Punk and he did. Remember of course that not only did he beat CM Punk he ended CM Punk's historic title reign at over 400 days and surviving the 3 on 1 onslaught of The Shield. He then said that Punk couldn't beat him in a rematch at Elimination Chamber and again Punk couldn't. Now Rock says he'll make it 2-0 over Cena at Wrestlemania this year. Rock has made a lot of promises and has come through on every one of them.
So again: Does The Rock have anything to prove. Feel free to respond with asks, reblogs, private messages I'll post as many as I can.

Awesome weekend
So there is this company called Big Time Wrestling which is decidedly small time but they raise money for charity by bringing in big name superstars to draw crowds. These superstars work for free but sell autographs and pictures and merchandise to make their money for being there because well gas isn't cheap. I've got meet a lot of awesome superstars (a couple not as awesome ones) at these shows and this past weekend might have been the biggest names I've ever met.
I got to meet: "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash
The 16 time world heavyweight champion "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair
WWE Hall of Famer "Mr. U.S.A." Tony Atlas
Rikishi
Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell
Carlito and John Cena Sr. were also there but I didn't talk to them I've met them both before and have both their autographs (Cena's autograph on a CM Punk sign no less!) but they are both very very friendly gentlemen.
And for anyone who thinks Nash is too old to still go? I'll tell you I watched him from the second row and while the match was a short tag match he looked good! He looks like he could easily go 30-40 minutes.
Night of Champions predictions
Yesterday I posted my pick for who wins the battle royal. And while Big Show might be a good pick (in my opinion) battle royals can be hard to predict. You can't always be sure who'll be there (and realistically we've only seen Big Show 1 time since Summerslam last month) and in Show's case it might be considered a step back to chase the US title after chasing the world title for the last couple of years. Regardless I would still like to be there in Boston tonight to see Big Show go all Andre the Giant and eliminate the entire match with just his right hand. Oh well. So here are my predictions for the matches tonight. Hell tonight I might even TOUT!
Cm Punk vs John Cena - CM Punk
Sheamus vs Alberto Del Rio - Sheamus
Layla vs Kaitlyn - Layla
R-Truth and Kofi Kingston vs Kane and Daniel Bryan - Kane and Daniel Bryan

My pick for who wins the battle royal at Night of Champions
Based on recent successses (or lack thereof) I've put some thought into who just might be victorious in the Night of Champions pre show match to determine who will face Antonio Cesaro for the United States championship. I won't go into huge details on each one but here are my top 5 most likely candidates. Since Cesaro is a heel I feel it's mostly a pick em that it will be a face to challenge him. In no particular order here they are. Brodus Clay Santino The Big Show Heath Slater Ryback Wait Big Show? Sure. He is one of the more decorated champions in not just WWE but professional wrestling in general. Why he got left off this card is a mystery to me. There were a lot of good spots to put him. Maybe it's just because I really want to see Big Show live but I think it'd be very interesting to see him take the strap and beat up everybody. Maybe even single handedly eliminate everyone in the battle royal. And yes I said a face would win, something Big Show currently isn't but this could be a turn back for him.
Where do we take Del Rio and Sheamus from here?
So on Monday Night Raw Sheamus stole Alberto Del Rio’s car, drove it around San Antonio and brought it back to the arena completely trashed.
On Smackdown the GM Booker T asked him to apologize and he did, citing “if you do the crime you have to do the time”. Through a conversation between Sheamus and Del Rio it was worked out that Sheamus would defend the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event, bringing Summerslam early. The whole thing would turn out to be a scam as about 10 goons in disguise would jump Sheamus and make it so Del Rio could get an easy beat down and attempt to injure the champion.
So where do we take this from here? Well if I was writing it I’d do something like this:
I kind of feel like as a fan that Del Rio’s actions were too over the top in terms of retaliation. So much so that I think it should cost him his #1 contender spot for Summerslam. So how about on Monday Night Raw Booker T could announce a new contender’s match: Del Rio vs Randy Orton. Orton’s been red hot since his return and because of their match a couple of weeks ago it makes sense to keep him in a program with Del Rio. And a lot of fans pretty much think it’s just a matter of time until Orton is the champ again anyway so I think we need to strike while this particular iron is hot. Also Smackdown and Raw have a tradition of sometimes having similar main events on their pay per views so both shows having triple threat matches to main event Summerslam isn’t that outrageous.
And that’s my two cents. What do you think?
Thoughts about Bound for Glory series 2013
Last year I found the "BFG" series to be unpredictable. The guy that should have been an odds on favorite (Samoa Joe) finished with negative points never having won a match in the series. My money was on Matt Morgan thinking that while everyone else was picking Crimson it was too obvious. When it came down to Roode vs Bully Ray I was excited because that meant 2 guys nobody thought would win was about to.
So I'm looking at the participants this year and to just name a few I've noticed a pattern.

Jeff Hardy
Kurt Angle
Samoa Joe
A.J. Styles
That's almost everybody and former world champions are all of them. So here's an idea. How about in 2013 we have this series with a bunch of guys that have never been world champion? Imagine that exciting conclusion when two deserving guys that have never been the top of the food chain get to battle just for the opportunity to main event the biggest pay per view in the company? Just a thought.
10 Ways I'd have changed Slammiversary 10
So the 10th anniversary of Slammiversary has come and gone. By now everybody should know the results and I don't think I'll be giving any spoilers. I always wait to talk about a show at least a week or so after it's aired so we can all catch up and if there were any unfortunate souls that didn't get to catch it, they won't catch the spoilers from me. 10 years for a wrestling company that most said wouldn't last 10 minutes is impressive. They told this event would also be impressive and in some ways it was, but in the spirit of the 10 years I've devised a list of 10 ways it could have been better. Don't misunderstand me I am not saying it was a horrible show and they got nothing right all I am saying is that this is my opinion and in my opinion there was room for improvement. In no particular order here are my thoughts.
1.) Jeff Jarrett for the hall of fame. You heard who Sting had to thank for his induction on Impact? Jeff and Jerry Jarrett. Remember why? For founding the company. To some casual fans TNA started with Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter but the super fans amongst us remember Jeff Jarrett running things. Being the world champion so many times and for so long because let's be honest he just didn't have the talent to carry the company or the belt at that time. He gave everything had had so these wrestlers could have a job. Everything he had so these guys would have a home for their families and food on their plates. It's easy to hate on Jeff Jarrett and yeah I'm not his biggest fan but even I can set personal feelings aside and admit respect when it's due and I respect Jeff Jarrett for all he's done for TNA. I don't think running a wrestling (or any other kind) of company is easy and if anyone thinks it is, I challenge them to run a wrestling promotion like Jeff Jarrett did and please inform me how easy it is. Sting is a great talent and has done a lot for TNA. At times he has had to carry the company on his back and he's always done it with a smile on his face and that kind of old school professionalism which is becoming a dying art. Simply put it should have been Jeff Jarrett in that position not the Stinger and if it HAD to be the Stinger why couldn't we have had more than entrant in it's inaugral year.
2.) "It's not about weight limits, it's about no limits" for a long time this was the mantra of the X-Division. The division that put TNA on the map. People would come to TNA for the stars they knew but stick around for the high-flying antics of a Jerry Lynn or an A.J. Styles or Christopher Daniels etc. And on the biggest night in the company's history the one division that TNA truly owes a big thank you is rewarded with just one match on the card. Yes it was for the title, and you bet your ass it was the best damn match of the night, but so what? If there was ever a night for the Ultimate X to reappear, this was it. Where was our Low-Ki, Elix Skipper, Jerry Lynn, Amazing Red, Curry Man, Rodrick Strong, Jimmy Rave, Brian Kendrick and even frickin Shark Boy? For this one night of the year when the company could say thank you to these guys (and so many more I can't even think of right now) these guys aren't even mentioned. A bigger X-Division presence was definitely the kick in the pants this show needed. Hell I'd have marked out to see the Naturals again.
3.) How about for the main event where Bobby Roode beats Sting...again...and on the night where Sting is inducted into the hall of fame no less, how about for the first time in TNA history we have a main event unlike any we've ever seen before. Slammiversary for the longest time was known primarily for it's main event. The King of the Mountain match, the match which gave Jeff Jarrett his nickname. How about for the 10th anniversary, we have what I like to call the "King of the Mountain All Stars" match. You have your ladder, and your penalty box and Bobby Roode with his title and all of his combatants for this night are former King of the Mountain winners. Guys like Jeff Jarrett, Raven, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, hell even A.J. Styles who never won the match still had some awesome highlights in that match. You want to play up like you want Roode to lose his title? Stick him in a match he's never won (and yes he has competed in before) against all former winners of said match OH and in this match the champion has only ever retained his title once in it's history.
4.) In the vein of one night only, bring back the six sided ring. Enough said.
5.) Note to the Impact Wrestling match makers, Hernandez vs Kid Kash is NOT an old school match. Amazing Red vs Jerry Lynn, that would be an old school match for TNA. Raven vs Erik Watts that'd be an old school match. Hell I don't even think it would get much more old school than Ken Shamrock vs Scott Hall. Just saying go back and watch your tapes from year one, watch the matches that worked and the matches we remember and then give us one of those. But two guys we've been watching on television for the last year does not an "old school" match make unless "old school" refers to 5 months ago.
6.) Biggest night of the year all of the titles need to be defended. There is no excuse otherwise.
7.) Don West should have been on commentary. There is no good reason not to. I'm not saying exclude Taz because that's simply not fair to him either but we could go WCW for a night and have all 3, with Taz, D.W. and the prof.
8.) The main event should have been more over the top. Now Roode and Sting are two of the best workers in TNA right now and they always deliver the goods. But we've seen this match quite a bit this year already and in no way did they try to dress it up and make it look snazzy. Same two guys, same 4-sided ring, same outcome. Give me a ladder. Give me some tables. Give me no disqualifications. Give me a heel turn somewhere. Give me some funky stipulations to make every pin cover mean something. Alas it was not to be.
9.) One sentence on every Impact about the hall of fame is not enough of a big deal for me. It felt like an afterthought, or like someone was reminding me to pick up the milk on my way home from work. If you want to start something new like a hall of fame, an idea I applaud, and you want it to be a big deal, then make it a big deal. Jam it down our throats and remind us constantly. Don't mention it once so when Dixie Carter comes out on the show we go "oh yeah I think I heard something about this" instead of "right this is why I tuned in!" which I imagine should be the reaction you'd want from at least a portion of your audience.
10.) More retrospective moments. Most of these only aired on television and I think I missed a chunk of them, they should have saved all 10 for the pay per view. On top of that we should have done more with the look back. Let's remember great guest stars like Chris Rock and Toby Keith. Let's remember our first world champion. Let's remember the contributions from wrestlers no longer with us like Christian, Ron Killings, The Naturals, Jerry Lynn, Low-Ki, Amazing Red, Chris Harris (say what you want but America's Most Wanted IS TNA history), Awesome Kong, Scott D'amore and whichever members of Team Canada aren't still around like Johnny Devine. You want to have a look back kind of a show, then let us come up with some moments and memories that make us go "holy shit I haven't thought about that moment in a very long time". Or at least can make the newer fans go "holy shit when did THAT happen?!" and then want to go out and learn more about the company.

TNA claims WWE tried to poach its talent
The following story came from CBS news earlier today and has been circulating. Feel free to weigh in.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Two giants in the wrestling world are getting ready to rumble — in a courtroom.
Nashville-based Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has sued World Wrestling Entertainment, accusing WWE of obtaining secret contract information in an attempt to poach TNA's wrestlers. TNA's top wrestling talent includes veteran wrestler and actor Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. The company says in the lawsuit that WWE appears to have already tried to lure Flair and is pursuing TNA's other wrestlers. An attorney for WWE denied the allegations. A message left for TNA's corporate counsel on Friday was not immediately returned. The lawsuit, which was filed in Nashville this week, claims that a former TNA employee leaked secret information to WWE, which included the terms of the contracts TNA has with its wrestlers. Armed with the secret contract information, TNA says its Connecticut-based competitor is now in a position to steal its wrestlers by offering better deals. "The disclosure exposes TNA to potential liability with respect to its contract — WWE knows the details of TNA's contractual relationships with its wrestling talent, which could allow WWE to place itself in the right place, at the right time, with an offer to TNA's talent at just the right place," the lawsuit says. Jerry McDevitt, WWE's longtime attorney, said WWE has not tried to lure Flair or any other wrestlers under contract with TNA. The lawsuit claims that former TNA employee Brian Wittenstein went to work for WWE and then leaked the information. A message left at a phone number listed for Wittenstein in Nashville was not immediately returned Friday. He signed a contract with TNA saying he would not disclose any of the company's confidential information after his employment ended. McDevitt said that WWE never asked Wittenstein to disclose the information and that the company fired him when he did. Furthermore, WWE told TNA officials about the breach and sent back the information Wittenstein leaked. "To us, it's no good deed goes unpunished kind of thing," McDevitt said. "They sued us for doing the right thing." Davidson County Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle has signed a restraining order barring WWE from using the information to solicit wrestlers from TNA and from interfering with any of its contracts. The order also bars WWE from destroying any of the information. A hearing on the matter is set for June 11.
