March 30-April 4, 2026: WTTT Week is back by popular demand!
Kept the same main prompts as last year, since I feel like they’re open-ended enough to inspire new ideas. The secondary/alternate prompts are different, just to shake things up a bit!
Without further ado…
Main Themes/Prompts (based off the main “sub-series” of WTTT):
Day 1: Table News- Take inspiration from a recent or current event to make your own “Table” episode or scene!
Day 2: [State] Joins the Table- Showcase your favorite character!
Day 3: Table History- Put a “WTTT” spin on a historic event or theme.
Day 4: Weird Laws- Showcase an unusual law or regulation, or an offbeat fact, about a State.
Day 5: Dating Games- Your favorite ship/relationship— despite the name, it doesn’t have to be romantic!
Day 6: “Meanwhile In…”- Feel free to showcase any non-canon-WTTT characters you want to—OCs, cities, other countries, crossovers from other shows (for example, the prompt title is based on “Meanwhile in Australia” by Jimmy Rees), etc, etc…
*There is no designated “Free Day” this year but any day can be a free day if you want it to be!*
*Tag each entry as #wttt week if you want your post to be reblogged here! Tag each day as #wttt week day 1, wttt week day 2, etc…*
Secondary/Alternate Themes
The secondary themes are to help provide more specific ideas for each day. You don’t need to use them! If you have an idea for a day that has nothing to do with the secondary prompt, that’s okay!
Day 1: Resilience
Day 2: Identity
Day 3: Nature
Day 4: Food/Drink
Day 5: Flowers
Day 6: Landmarks
What is WTTT Week? #WTTT Week is a week to celebrate the U.S. State-and-politics themed video series of YouTuber and comedian Ben Brainard, including Table News, Welcome to the Statehouse, Florida Man in SoCal, etc., as well as the small but dedicated fandom these works have inspired!
Are there any rules? Be creative and have fun! We’re just trying to keep this fandom alive however we can. You can create ANY kind of fan work, including fic, art, edits, headcanons, moodboards, memes, etc etc. Don’t feel pressured or obligated to follow the prompts exactly; consider them more of a rough guide. They’re open-ended for a reason!
If you choose to participate, don’t feel like you need to commit to doing all the days. Any level of participation is valued!
Now go forth and create! Can’t wait to see what y’all come up with!
