> medical problem > unsure if it's serious or will go away on its own > decide to wait to not overreact > problem remains > sees doctor with concrete problem after all > "why did you wait so long. we could have done something if you had come immediately"

Idk who needs to hear this but:
Do not stop your car on train tracks, ever.
Unless you have a 1000000% guarantee that the tracks are never used, do not walk on train tracks.
Many places in the US are repairing their unused tracks for additional passenger lines. Tracks that have been abandoned for years or even decades may now have trains on them.
Do not walk on railroad bridges.
Do not play chicken with trains. They will win.
Trains are faster than your car is. You cannot outdrive a train.
Trains are faster than you are. You cannot outrun a train.
Trains are, in general, much faster than you think they are and the train operator cannot stop in time even if they see you.
If you think that you'll just know a train is coming, that you'll hear or see it in time to move, then you are wrong.
If your car is stalled on tracks or otherwise stuck and you can't move it after several tries, get out instead of spending more time trying. If a train is actively coming towards you, just get out. Move at an angle towards the train and away from the tracks so that you aren't in the path of the car getting pushed or at immediate risk of being hit by debris.
Most railroads have signage with emergency numbers; call the number about any obstructions or damage to the tracks.
People die from train collisions all the time, both in and out of vehicles. In the US, train-car collisions and fatalities have stayed pretty much the same since 2009, averaging at ~250 fatalities every year. This does not include people just walking on tracks; my area has had multiple fatalities from pedestrians being hit by trains in the last few years.
You do not want to be another memorial on the tracks.
i don't know what older adults were on about when they said being a teenager was good <3
imo the pov character should be lying to themselves and concealing shit from themselves constantly
exactly, bestie. Exactly
I have seen a young lady with her table loaded with volumes loaded of fictitious trash, poring day after day and night after night over highly wrought scenes and skillfully portrayed pictures of romance, until her cheeks grew pale, her eyes became wild and reckless, and her mind wandered and was lost — the light of intelligence passed behind a cloud, and her soul was forever benighted. She was insane, incurably insane from reading novels.

pro natalism remains stupid
the relationship between access to education and access to birth control is always a direct correlation for women
the only major country where that doesn't hold that strongly with high birth rates exceeding replacement rate is the zionist state of israel where pro natalism is a plank aligned with palestininan extermination.
in countries with decent birthrates that number is propped up by subpopulations with high birth rates that regularly coincide with high religiosity
it's actually so crazy how much the simpsons would fucking suck if it didn't have any of the simpsons characters. just a bunch of shots of empty houses and streets for half an hour while nothing happens. that would be so badddd lol
yeah that tends to happen when you remove characters from media. without characters its all just background. i guess movies set in scenic locations would still land as kinda nature docs but even then
it only happens with the simpsons
this same criticism could be applied to nearly any media ever.
it's just the simpsons. are you a troll?

quirky fourth wall breaking character but theyre just fucking. wrong about the medium theyre in. they keep making references to cinematic techniques and directorial styles and the other fourth wall breaking character is like "dumbass we're in a fucking comic book" and they are in a video game.
Well currently they’re in a tumblr post but I see your point
we're actually in a youtube video if this turns out to be funny enough
