Australian workers stop scrolling
i'm always seeing posts on here from people praising unions, but are you actually in one? Because you should be!
Some people don't realise that in Australia, if you are working, you have a union! (There's also a union for unemployed workers, consider volunteering if you can help them out.)
Being a union member in Australia isn't just about your rights in your own workplace, it's about engaging with the politics of your industry and being a part of a movement which fights for the conditions of all workers in your sector and across the whole country!
If you go to the ACTU website, you can fill out a form which will inform your relevant trade union that you would like to join. From there, ask to meet with a union organiser to discuss what you can do to grow the union and give workers at your workplace a voice!
Then, reblog this so all of your Australian followers are reminded to join their unions too.
