hi i was drinking mold all my freshman year and got the most sick ive ever been in my life here's good ways to avoid that shit:

number one rule is get stainless steel shit. stainless steel water bottle stainless steel straw, you dont want that rubber plastic etc shit it grows mold like a mf. turns out that was the main culprit of what happened to me, my reusable water bottle was plastic and it didn't matter how much i let it soak or cleaned it out.

get this either if you can or can't afford the stainless steel stuff and just be really on cleaning it; staw cleaner looks like this:

and get one its mammas the bottle cleaner for your cup:

this one is 3 dollars you get soap in there and spin this shit around and push it up and down and the mold will be begging for mercy

My additional piece of advice: get a pack of denture cleaning tablets. These are especially good if you use your bottle for anything other than water (squash, coffee etc) or if you’ve got a built in straw with awkward curvy bits.

You put that tablet in the bottle, add hot water, let it fizz and soak for a bit and hey presto, any stains or discolouration or weird little crevices are suddenly removed of their hidden nasty bits.

My niece kept saying her water bottle tasted weird, and she washed it and washed it, and then me and my mum were like GIVE IT HERE and we put a denture tablet in it and added the straw to it and it started fizzing up the straw and all this black gunk started coming out the weird curvy bits of the fitted straw like a Coke-mentos experiment.

It’ll taste slightly minty unless you rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse rinse but that’s not a terrible thing, and let’s face it, denture tablets are for cleaning dentures so, you know, designed to clean things that go in mouths.

Anyway: wash your water bottles! Wash your flasks! More often than you think you need to!! Keep denture tablets in the cupboard!!

Okay okay i started thinking again so Re: Robert being abused in the past but isn't able to recognize that it happened to him.

I don't think he would ever really bring the topic up to Flambae. This is the guy that avoided Chase for 15 years after his dad died and avoided telling Flambae his identity for whatever length of time it was between ep 2-5, Robert I feel can sometimes have a habit of avoiding emotional conflict. And we saw with Blazer once she pointed out him blaming himself for chases almost dying was wrong he was able to recognize that she was right immediately.

So I feel like even without even saying it outloud he knows that asking his partner why he hasn't been hit yet is wrong. But he isn't able to fully connect why it was wrong in the past in the case of both his previous partner and his Dad. He also knows that bringing this up with anyone would open up a whole can of emotional worms that he isnt able to deal with so he just avoids it.

Flambae would notice though. He already is able to pick up when Robert is trying to play mind games with him so he'd probably see whenever Robert acted nervous around him and tried to play it off. He's also one of the best fighters on the team and would most definitely notice during an argument or really anytime Flambae himself is particularly irritated around him the way Robert would subtly tense like he was bracing himself for something.

And of course because I like it when they're both hurt he would probably internalize all that and start assuming that Robert was solely reacting that way because of Flambae and the past they have. I could see him bottling all this up and bringing it up to his therapist (in my heart Flambae goes to therapy) just for them to point out signs of past abuse and ways he might be able to help. But this is also Flambae Mr."Not talking about it won't make it go away." So I don't think he would tiptoe around bringing this up to Robert at all. And that would probably be when the big emotional discussion would happen much to Roberts dismay at the time.
