('she questioned now, pouting more–taking these words seriously with his pout deepening more across her expression.)

( ‘yujin noticed the frown on her face. deep inside, she wanted to chuckle but on the outside, her face remained straight. ) you have never been mean to me. ( ‘she leaned back a little. ) but whether you treat me with love an affection or hatred and resentment, you will be nice to me from now on. sorry, did that sound like a command? ( ‘she paused for several seconds, realizing how blunt she might have been yet the brunette quickly shrugged it off. ) by the way, you should frown less. ( ‘and her eyes moved to the girl's knitted eyebrows. ) it looks like if a mosquito gets stuck between your eyebrows, it's going to be squeezed to death. also, you wouldn't want to get wrinkles at an early age. us ladies' worst nightmare, they say.

     the worst thing about being at the docks? it could start with the stinky smell of fresh seafood or how moist and sloppy the concrete beneath her high heels was when she struggled to make her way through the crowd of people with terrible sense of fashion making their purchase. talking about their style in general, honestly, it was just like grocery shopping and who would need to apply foundation or eye shadows for the occasion? and who would wear high heels, except for heung yujin? if this was based on some sort of a historical drama, she would be a royal feeling lost among the peasants, waiting for the love of her life. 

     no, love of her life was not the right title for him. unfortunately no matter how gorgeous she could be, yujin understood that she would never be able to capture his heart. she hated herself for harboring such feelings but here she was, standing at the docks like an idiot, scanning the area through her shades. people would glance at her, whispering words about her fashion style or how extra she was. just by the look, they could tell that the brunette came from a filthy rich family but who could she be looking for? for him, of course. the fool. now, her peers would describe yujin as an impatient lady so obviously, she did not like the idea of being kept wait yet she had no other choice or more like she made herself suffer through this. she chose to meet him out of the blue even though it was starting to become a habit that was so difficult to kick no matter how many times the brunette tried to get rid of it.

     the stupid things you would do for love. yujin's eyes glistened like a the reflection of the midnight moon on rippling water yet it was hard to tell through the pair of expensive sunglasses. “yah, KANG DAEHYUN !!” shouted the brunette with a smile bloomed on her lips as she made her way towards his direction, almost stumbled but it was worth it.

yujin had a dumb look on her face for a moment. that was because she didn't quite know how to react when she totally caught him off guard yet he was pretending to be cool, and that she didn't just scare the heck out of him for even just a second. she wanted to burst out laughing like a dork. even though yujin was kind of carefree, her parents raised her better. so, she forced herself to keep a straight face and play along with the guy. “believe me, as someone who lives nearby, not many people hang around the beach during these hours.” watching the stranger unpacking the pack of cigarettes, she gladly received one from him. “i guess the same reason as you do, why do people come to such a place without a companion? probably wanting to clear our mind or just hate to stay at home.” yujin brushed a strand of her dark brown hair away from her face, glancing at the stranger with a pair of innocent eyes. “i'm surprised you're ready to offer me something to smoke like this. i could be a high schooler and you might get in big trouble.”

A Change Of Heart.

[...] “Don’t do it,” Hyojung whispered to herself while raising her cellphone towards her chest and clenching both hands around it’s frame. “Don’t pet the dog. Just keep walking…”

     no way, yujin recognized that silhouette. that very same shape, the very familiar long, wavy brunette, the very memorable walking style, they very lovable same old enemy. 

     what a wonderful coincidence that she would rather call it an unfortunate event, a misfortune, a sign of bad luck. it had been a hectic day at work and the least thing she wanted to do was to have another catfight with someone else, especially her. supposing that hyojung must be on her way back home just like yujin herself, the girl clicked her tongue with a deep frown on her face. why did hyojung just have to choose this path? would she perhaps walk on another road if yujin told her about this road being her “territory"?  that was how she acted the entire time, cursing and criticizing the other one inside her head, imagining that she was a witch and possessed the ability to cast a deadly spell on hyojung but here she was, following the girl along the street and to every turn she took. maybe she was curious of her own enemy or that yujin's mind was busy feeding her with what she wanted to see: hyojung admitting that she could never be as good as her. hence, yujin completely lost concentration, following hyojung's lead like a baby duck and her mother. 

     “ugh, just look at her long, flowy hair. i want to shave her head.” villain's thoughts filled her head as the girl clenched her teeth yet stopped dead in tracks when she noticed something off about hyojung. she could tell it was caused by a german shephard nearby. well, what was this all about? could it be that the adorable creature feared her? yujin quickly hid herself behind a tree after taking many steps closer to hyojung, peeking her head out to watch what was going to occur next. for the record, she was really hoping that hyojung would be afraid of dogs and do something idiotic that irritate the big boy.

🎀 what’s your fashion sense like?

“i would totally dress to impress. so, you can say that my fashion style is pretty great but honestly? crop-tops or tank tops paired with leather pants, shorts and tennis skirts would be my favorite style. anything that reveals my beautiful hour-glass shape, anything that yells fashionista. gucci and chanel. oh, and i don’t really like to dress myself in floral or vintage designs. too… colorful. and old. like for those ladies in their forties.”

🐾 what are you scared of most? how will you overcome it?

“i, honestly don’t like the idea of being scared by a ghost. i mean, i don’t understand how there are people that refuse to believe in ghosts even when the evidence are convincing as hell. i can overcome this fear easily tho because although i’m terrified of ghosts, i actually love to watch shows like ghost busters or buzzfeed unsolved since they just make me laugh until i cry to the point that i completely forget about the main purpose which is capturing the ghosts? and then’s when i realize that ghosts are irrelevant and they are not even that scary. yeah, i might be lying right now but you know the deal.”

And no, I don’t know where you can find–” A grimace soon formed once he sensed movement, features becoming strained as the other began to make themselves right at home. “–WAIT. it was hilarious how she hadn't even spoken a single word yet and the man in front of yujin was already giving her such an attitude. however, she really had no problem with that at all as that would exactly be her reaction if she sensed annoyance. letting him say whatever he wanted, the brunette pulled the chair out, putting a pile of books on the table almost violently. feeling his glare on her, yujin sat down with a triumphant smile that somewhat had a hint of playfulness. “well, for your information, i'm busy as well.” she said while pointing at one book. a harry potter book. “and ugh, sorry, i thought that you were a librarian so i might have wanted to sit near you on purpose. you know? with that grumpy, intelligent look and all?”

     yujin worshipped cats ( but then again, she loved all the animals in this world ) . so, what would she do if she happened to stumble across one lost, miserably-looking kitty on the street while she was late for work? she called in sick, ditched her responsibility to take care of the cat. she saw a white ball of fur curling up in one corner, staring at her with those round, light hue of yellow eyes and out of curiosity, she approached the cat to pet it, only to find out it was actually in pain. “are you the owner of the cat ??” questioned a mechanic nearby. “seems like its arm is broken.” and she glanced at the white furball's arm. as an employee at the zoo, heung yujin could tell if there was something wrong with an animal and the cat was clearly in pain with one broken limb. that wouldn't be too good. 

     the next thing she knew, yujin found herself at the same old location where the cat was founded after paying a visit to the vet. the adorable furball would be alright now and she wondered how would its owner react upon seeing their precious treasure coming home with bandages and in the arms of a stranger. yujin sighed, she could have just taken the cat home and look after it by herself !! but here she was, asking around if someone recognized the cat or possibly knew its owner. how idiotic of her, did she actually just waste however, the replies she received were not quite like what she imagined. just then, she spotted a young male in the middle of the crowd, looking left and right, almost bumping into another pedestrian due to being careless. was he looking for something? could he be... looking for a cat? now, the possibility was low ( she learned that after questioning about twenty people, believing that the owner would come back to look for the cat ) but it was still worth it. that was it, this would be the last chance and if the guy wasn't white furball's owner, she would take the cat home. end of story.

     “excuse me, hey !!” she ran towards him with the cat in her arms and once she stopped, yujin panted. hard. her stamina wasn't so great after all despite giving the impression that she could kick someone anytime. “do you... do you happen to know this cat ?”

😔 what do you always do when you feel sad? does it help?

“usually i take a shower, burning hot. usually i put on music to drown out my thoughts, but other times i’ll just sit on the ground in silence and let the water run over me. or i’ll lay with my cats.” although he doesn’t say it, a few things pass through his mind. he tends to not eat, skipping over meals for days and only drinking whatever he has around – usually coffee or those pororo juice drinks for children. he doesn’t go out or talk to anyone, because when he’s sad about one thing, he’s sad about everything. the world comes crashing down on him. occasionally, depending how bad he’s feeling, and for how long, he gets the urge to drink – to forget the sadness. or he craves a cigarette – so the burn of his throat will make him forget the pain elsewhere. he has an urge to go out and be so reckless and just ruin himself. he doesn’t like the feeling in his chest when he’s sad. he’d rather put a bandaid over the problem and move on. but he really doesn’t work like that. it never helps.

→Most nights would be loud and very busy, but Jaewon had the day off. He wasn’t used to his nights being so quiet. Any time he could, he would prefer going in to work. He wasn’t sure why, but being home alone in his apartment wasn’t an option today. Instead he sat down on the concrete sidewalk and stared out at the sandy beach just a few inches away. A heavy sigh spilled past Jaewon’s lips, suddenly feeling lonely. He reached into his pocket, taking out the unopened pack of cigarettes he bought before coming down to the beach. It’s been a little over two months since he last smoked and despite doing so well keeping away from it, he felt the temptation of starting back up. Don’t do it, Jaewon. These words whispered in his head, another heavy breath spilling as he would stuff the small box back into his pocket. “Why bother even buying a pack if I’m not even going to smoke?” he spoke to himself before bouncing up on his feet. His arms crossed behind his head and while humming quietly to himself he walked along the sidewalk, “What is there to do at this time, is there even anyone awake to hang out with?”

yujin had always been one of the creatures of the night. like a wolf she was, the brunette would hunt by night, howling for her mates and experiencing the night like it was the wildest moment she had ever had under the moon's watch. that evening, it was no exception when she chose to leave her apartment -- seaside apartments, only a few kilometres away from the beach. hence, it wouldn't take a long time for her to go to the beach, which was also her favorite place to be in wonyang as she could enjoy a relaxing evening along with the comforting sound of waves splashing against each other, splashing against the sand. that was when she spotted him, putting his cigarettes away and walked off like just that. yujin hesitated for a while before deciding to follow the guy, giving him a surprise from the behind with her loud voice. “smoking while gazing at the beautiful beach under wonyang's night sky is a wonderful idea, you sure you wanna pass the opportunity?”

    Hopefully someone would show up soon to either pull her from this nightmare or make her manager disappear, she didn’t know which would be better. Or come first.       

      idols, the most perfect human beings in the world. beautiful, talented, kind-hearted, the ideal image of one's significant other. in this day and age, it was hard to spot someone who had no knowledge about the korean entertainment industry as famous groups like h.o.t, bigbang and snsd took over the entire south korea for a period of time. as a teenager, heung yujin had always been in love with those idols. days passed by, she still kept her dreams of being able to date an idol one day ( honestly, who wouldn’t? ) even though she was a grown up now, and she was completely aware that not many of her favorite celebrities would come to wonyang since the majority or perhaps all of them were in seoul since the entertainment industry was set to focus on the capital city of the country. 

       but the opportunity finally arrived when the brunette heard through some of her close friends that there was an idol in town and they would hold a small meet and greet event for the fans in wonyang. she would have asked for more details on the idol's profile but yujin was too pumped. after all, she had never seen a celebrity in real life even though she came from a very wealthy family and had the chance to have dinner with many celebrities that were guests of her parents' hotel but she wouldn't consider that as meeting with famous people. why ? because she would only care about a celebrity if they were an idol. brad pitt coming to the heungs' hotel? uh, she wouldn't mind but she wouldn't be that much interested, if she had to be honest.

       yet another minor problem was despite loving idols, yujin didn't know much about them as she only heard about the famous boygroups and girlgroups such as twice, bangtan boys, snsd or ancient groups. if one asked her about got7 or gugudan, she would just shrug and change the topic immediately so upon coming to the meet and greet the the coffee shop, the brunette was hoping to meet im yoona or seungri or the entire twice. unfortunately, she was greeted with an unfamiliar face. a girl. a young-looking girl, probably underage, sitting over there and playing a guitar. eyebrows furrowed slightly, yujin looked over to the person standing next to her that was having a broad smile on her face as she watched the girl strumming on her guitar over there. “so, when will the idol arrive ?” asked yujin. apparently, that girl with a baby face was the idol. 

      with her arms crossed, heung yujin silently observed the baby to see what could she do. no, she refused to call this girl an idol. for various reasons but first, let's see what serah could do.

“london, i suppose. because the weather’s really nice, maybe not nice to the local people but to me. and i just love england in general, my family haven’t paid a trip to this country for a while so i do miss it a lot. harry potter’s hometown tho!”

🌻 if you could change 3 things about the world what would you change?

“3 things only?? i have an endless list of things i want to change about the world, really. but let me see… hm. first, i wish that i could somehow make the ice in the arctic stop melting so polar bears and other animals wouldn’t have to suffer anymore. secondly, i would put an end to terrorism because it’s really stressful to see the news related to this topic. also, people deserve so much better and lastly, uh, i guess.. make superheroes happen… ? it would be cool to meet a batman in real life even though it might be dangerous if our world was to be filled with villains like the movies.”

How does your character behave when they are excited? >How easily can others (on average) tell that your character is excited when your character behaves in this manner?

when yujin’s feeling excited, she would bounce around and can’t help but throwing her hands up, probably acting like she’s in a club or something. you can also spot this wide grin on her face, it’s hard for yujin to hide her smile because it’s like trying to hide happiness, which is something she’s terrible at. plus, she’s just trying to enjoy the moment! anyways, she’s known as a literal tsundere who often has a frown on her face so of course, it’s easy to tell whenever yujin actually feels the excitement.

Everything Happens for a reason, The true question of thought to this seems to lay in whether or not it’s happening for a reason– To you, Or to someone else? Who is it happening for? (‘Her nose crinkled at this thought as she gently let her boots scuff against the ground before lifting her feet up just a bit from her seat and patting her knees lightly with the flats of her palms.) I wonder where all these things are going to lead us… What it’s teaching us… (‘Trailing off in thought, she hummed softly– eyes moving from downcast to look up at the sky thoughtfully)

“well, isn't it kind of obvious?” ( ‘heung yujin takes one step closer to the girl, amused at how she's wondering about a quote she probably read somewhere. )  “it aims to tell you that everything you do today will lead to all the events tomorrow. for instance, you study your ass off tonight and you ace your exam the following. that —— your success happens for a reason. because you studied. but, that's all morals.” ( ‘the brunette rolls her eyes, clearly not interested in the true meaning of the saying even though she might has just got the meaning of it accurately ? ) “it's trying to teach you that if you don't start treating me nicely or buying me a cup of coffee right now then me ruining your day is bound to happen. for a reason.” ( ‘even though she's giving the girl a nonchalant yet dead serious look, her eyes are smiling with a hint of playfulness. )

Another hectic day passed by and every day was a wild adventure to heung yujin, the daughter of a the pair famous hotel's owners. if her family was so wealthy, why did she even bother find herself part-time jobs? well, she did it because she wanted to be independent despite messing up all time, even though her parents predicted that as well. yujin was also absolutely terrible at cooking, albeit admitting her skills were of the top-notch. nevertheless, the heung parents still asked eunsook, a family's close friend, to send leftovers over to yujin if she happened to leave some as the three of them understood that yujin would often skip meal or that she would rather eat unhealthy and junk food.

just like every other day, at the same time in the evening that day, yujin's doorbell rang. she was applying beauty mask on her face, lying on the fancy bed with celebrity magazines and the reality show “it's dangerous beyond the blankets” aired on her smart tv as background. she was having the night for herself and ugh, not again. yet at the same time, she might appreciate a good, late meal so yujin slipped her feet inside the rilakkuma slippers before heading to the doorway. still with her mask on, she probably looked somewhat ridiculous but the velvet tank top and comfortable white shorts might still be able to seduce the shipper. for the record, that happened all the time. 

“sorry for bothering you but it's your job so we can’t really help it, huh? and tell eunsook that i wanted to thank——” she was blurting out words like a rapper of some really well-known korean girl group with top rapping skills. that was it, with a bad attitude until she glanced up to look at the shipper in their face. “you.” she ended her sentence abruptly with a hint of anger and disappointment in her tone. “again.” eyebrows furrowed furiously, every day was really like an adventure to heung yujin. how fascinating, it kept getting better and better.
