I feel bad for Heartstopper fans who haven’t read the books or graphic novels. Like they haven’t experienced it in the way that’s Alice intended ( don’t get me wrong I love the series and Alice did an amazing job writing it but the books are just better bc she’s had FULL control) And they don’t know abt the other stuff going on in the universe. Like I see a lot of posts saying that ‘toris an amazing sister but she hasn’t really got anything else going on’ but you would know if u read the books she’s got some MAJOR shit going on and she’s still amazing sister! They don’t know who the ark is or that’s aled has his own story! It’s so sad :(

i don't know how many times i'll make a post about the mischaracterisation of tori spring but here's another one

i saw a post today talking about how tori never wants to socialise with people in public settings or have fun outside and i started thinking about whether people remember that at the solitaire party, tori literally DANCES with michael.

yes, this is a contrast to her behaviour at becky's birthday party where she was adamant to leave early but you have to remember that at that point in the book she didn't know michael well, and didn't like anyone else at that party very much either.

i just think that yes, tori is withdrawn but she's not averse to being outgoing- it literally just depends on the company for her rather than the setting, she feels most comfortable to be herself when she's with people she likes and cares about and to say that that makes her different feels really hypocritical because i just think that's true for everyone at the end of the day

So I reread Loveless recently, and an underrated part of the story is Roderick’s connection with Rooney’s mental state.

Roderick is at his worst when Rooney falls into despair and is out every single night, as she’s unable to water him.

But as her mental health improves, Georgia mentions how Roderick is perking up. That he “might make it through after all.”

And at the end of the story, Roderick is still alive, as Rooney mentions the perfect place to put him in their college house.
