hello! I'm zahli, welcome to my cave. currently on the walls is: uh. too much hockey boys (heated rivalry), some wolves (green creek), excited vibrations about the whole Trailhead series by @landrybrennan (go read Margins! and then take a deep breath ready for TIO), but you'll find other nonsense too. i will not apologise for occasional Destiel posting.
currently: #in my knitting era
here's some stuff i've #finished!
Tags
i try to be somewhat organised but i promise nothing
fandom tags all look like this: #in my 911 era , #in my rebel kings mc era and are pretty much the only tags i religiously use
#911 spoilers for stuff released ahead of episodes, episode tags e.g. #911 6x08 for a few days after an episode airs, but then I get pretty lazy about it. not a spoiler free zone, but not not a spoiler free zone, y'know?
for fandoms that i'm more casual in, i tend to use the spoilers tag for the first day or so of an episode airing instead, because i'm not generally looking at pre-episode stuff. yes this is inconsistent. sorry?
sometimes i #live blog
recs are all #fic rec and then pairing and fandom and length tags - you can throw them in the search bar or shove them in the url like this: https://zahlibeth.tumblr.com/search/rec+buddie+length: 0 to 7k
queue tags are #and breathe for relaxing stuff (ymmv!), #animals are delightful and #people are delightful. sometimes I tag this shit outside of queue hours too you're not my mum
#ah for when I have been viciously Seen by something
also yes i talk obsessively in the tags i Do Not Trust people who reblog only i want to know all your little thoughts!!!
u may have three facts about me: she/her is close enough, mid-30s, british
everything else you're gonna have to go spelunking for
This is a real picture taken by photographer Keinichi Ohno. It's a single photo of a bird standing at the edge of some water with a wall and its reflection creating a fascinating optical illusion.
There are so many books in so many categories. Both Second Nature and Nothing to Know are there, but I've also separately dropped the price of Take It Outside for anyone just starting the Trailhead series!
As someone who collects a LOT of physical media but doesn’t make a lot of money, I want to share the rule that keeps my wallet from crying out in despair every time I enter a store. I don’t remember who I got this from, but thank you whoever you are because it has been a game-changer when it comes to building a large collection without breaking the bank.
The $1 per hour rule. It’s exactly what it says on the tin. If I’m purchasing physical media, I consider it good value if I can expect to get at least one hour of enjoyment for every dollar I spend on it.
I don’t remember what I spent on BG3, but I know it was a good deal because I’ve logged 600 hours in it. Hades II costs $30, and I was more than happy to pay that because I know I’ll play it for at least 30 hours. When I add books to my library, I almost exclusively buy used books that cost under $5 because 5 hours is a good average estimate for how long it takes me to finish a novel.
Will there be a treat you splurge on every now and then? Of course, but $1 per hour is a good standard to stick to if you want to responsibly build a dragon's hoard of physical media.
In Copenhagen you can visit The Round Tower. It used to be an astronomical observatory until light pollution and the vibrations from increased traffic in the streets made it useless for its original purpose.
Today it’s mostly famous for what it looks like on the inside.
It has an equestrian staircase though it’s so smooth it’s really just a gentle slope more than a staircase. It was build like that so our lazy bum king could ride his horse all the way to the top (king not in photo)
And naturally people have also driven cars up the tower
And held a bike race
For a while it was just sort of abandoned by the authorities and became a sloping marketplace
But today it has been restored and become a tourist spot as well as a popular destination for school trips. And yes, you can still watch the cosmos at the top.
this may be for an audience of two (me and lo @st-rozanov) but in my belief that leverage can be mashed up with everything, I’ve started thinking about leverage/green creek.
Eliot is a born werewolf—you don’t survive unscathed the way he does without something supernatural going on
Hardison is a witch—specifically a technomage
Parker is human for now. She’s planning to take the bite but not yet
Eliot like Robbie never had a permanent pack or alpha but had enough to not become an omega
until Nate who was an alpha and once the leverage team solidified worked on a pack structure
Sophie was Nate’s mate and somewhere before they retired she took the bite
when Nate dies, Sophie becomes the alpha and as much as she fought it, needed to be with her pack during that transition time
for the new redemption characters Harry is a human who doesn’t know anything about the supernatural. He is exactly as he is in the show a reformed sleaze ball. So there’s an added layer of shenanigans to not expose their secrets
Breanna is a werewolf. Nana was an alpha whose pack was supernatural orphans so witch Hardison, werewolf Bre, etc.
