work in progress (saves and shares are always appreciated 😘) I wanted to upload some progress from yesterday's sketch. I think it's going well? hahaha I always doubt when I'm in the middle of the process but things end up working out, specially if I have planned colors and composition in advance. So... trust the process Cami! (yeah sometimes I talk in third person to encourage myself hehehe) Let's see what comes out of this, and if everything fails... #wip I've been having a lot of migraines lately and since that's the thing I had in my head the past week I decided to try and visualize the pain. I'm still working on this and today I did some thumbnails to test how I want this to look like in the finished stage. Which color gives you more of a despair/pain feeling? for me is the ones I put in the third image. My migraines usually start on my left eye, they feel as if my eyeball is being squeezed. At some point it just feels like my head is being tore in half from the eye up and sometimes it even takes part of the jaw. That's when nausea starts and I can't help but cry... This can last a couple of hours or a day. My meds help, but sometimes it doesn't really matter what I do, and sometimes the pain goes away only to come back the next day (almost as if it has a 9 to 5 schedule really😂) Anyways, sorry if this post sounds like self pity but I wanted to put this out there somewhere. . . . .

So, I ended up posting anyways. I forgot that I had a workshop on botanical art with the @londondrawinggroup. This time was acrylics and ofc I didn't have sturdy paper/surface to play around so I ended up using a piece of a cardboard box. I actually enjoyed painting on a brown surface. It kinda makes it easier to paint and forget about leaving white spaces. On another note, I'm not sure if I'll post anything until next week because our landlord planned some renovations for next week and we need to empty the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Plus I need to pack cause we'll be staying with the cats at my in laws. So, a lot to do! Ok I think I need to go to bed cause I'm still not 100% and this stupid buzz in my ear won't go away 😑. Also, sorry for the pictures' quality, I don't really have good light at night... And soon that'll apply to daytime as well 😅. The days get very gloomy during the Dutch winter. . . . . . .

Day 27: #Survival Apparently our little hamster from the post of the 17th of October wasn't training for nothing. Will she be able to get to the other side? 🙀🙀🙀🙈🙈🙈 . . .

When your cat has a better booty than you. Can you imagine this as a HOLOGRAPHIC sticker, it would look amazing 😍😍😍 (Saves and shares are very appreciated 😊) When Susu was a kitten, she used to lay on her belly and BOOM! kittybum would appear. I got quite obsessed with this picture of Susu (swipe to see), this is actually the third version of this illustration hahaha. I mean, how could I resist! I posted a sneak peek of the original watercolor illustration quite some time ago and here it is again! (I also added the full original in this post btw) I think I could add a quote to the illustration but couldn’t come up with anything. Any ideas? This is my sticker entry for #makingmagicmondays from @girlsmakingmagic . . . .

Day 25: #calm (swipe and🔉 AUDIO ON) @_mlvdw came over the other day to show me how to use alcohol markers. I used a sketch I made during one of my online family meetings quite some time ago. For some reason it just made sense to me to make it an animation with music. I might make a longer version and put it on igtv for people to chill hehehe. We meet every Sunday with my family since the whole covid situation started. I must say, we haven’t seen each other this often in a very long time. I live abroad so that also doesn’t help. I know it’s a hard time, but I’m glad this shitty situation ended up having at least one good outcome.   . . . . .

Did you ever feel like you've stopped breathing for a while? Day 23: #inspire for the #lifeologydailydraw but alsooo #woifridays for: don't forget to breathe 😂 ok too much of a stretch? I know that's not the first definition of the word "inspire" but I was stuck with this prompt until I saw @womenofillustration friday challenge of this week and made this in 1 hour after my migraine got better. . . . .

Day 21: #Immune I didn’t paint in a couple of days and I could really feel the stress accumulating. Painting is really therapeutic for me and someohow I manage to calm my #adhd brain when I do it. Good music also helps. Do you have a calming activity? — btw I keep forgetting to promote my @redbubble shop (link in bio) where I will be putting some of the illustrations from insta. If there’s any illustration you’d like to see there don’t hesitate to send me a dm :) — This illustration is part of a month long (kinda) challenge from @lifeologyapp. Stay tuned for the next prompts! . . .

Day 19: #DNA This #lifeologydailydraw prompt is from yesterday but I really wanted to try and do something digital inspired by an attempt at doing the same thing in paper (added some pictures as well) I think I'll stick to traditional art for now because my #adhd brain gets too distracted with all the options that digital art offers and I need focus! 😂 . . .

Late entry for day 1: #Blood I really wanted to do a fully red illustration with watercolors so I just went for some blood cells. This illustration got me in "the zone". I think there are at least 10 layers there, also because I wanted to reach a certain saturation and worked with very watered-down layers. . . .

Day 17: #Endurance Are you more of a marathon or a sprint person? I wanted to try the art supplies I got yesterday and ended up going for my first oil pastel drawing. I'm not super happy with the result but I had fun making it. I recorded the process this time so I might upload a timelapse soon 😊 . . .

Day 14: #Deficiency I need to remember to get my vitamin D now that winter is getting closer... I get in such a low mood with the lack of sun.
