A place where all content creators can find sensitivity readers of color
* Note: While network members [and others] can volunteer to read a fic to gauge whether the portrayal of a character of color is respectful/not racist, it is 110% not mandatory, since your work will not be compensated (unless the person who asked for this service decides to compensate you).
** Note: Mentioning in the application form that you are willing to do this will not affect whether you will be accepted to the network at all–neither Yun nor Phee is personally volunteering to do this at this time, so please do not feel obligated to volunteer yourself. Depending on whether we get anyone willing to do this, this may not end up as a major part of this network at all.
*** Note: Anyone can also ask #omgpocplease to signal boost their request for a sensitivity reader for content about specific characters of color.
A group chat on Discord, with different channels for different subgroups within the network
Must be a person of color (we don’t think this needs to be said, but just in case it does, this includes people who are biracial/multiracial)
Must be willing to discuss the disproportionate attention that the Check, Please! fandom pays to the white characters over the characters of color, even in pairings of one white character and one character of color
No P*rse discourse other than what is listed above
No mentions of P*rse except in the context of the second bullet point
* We’re not here to pick fights; we just want to have a space where Check, Please! fans of color can vent about fandom racism, in addition to focusing on the characters of color
Please respect other people’s experiences, especially if you do not share them (e.g., antiblackness)

* Note: Everyone is welcome to follow this blog, as this will also be a blog for content about OMGCP PoC, but for network applicants and members, following @omgpocplease is required. Feel free to follow @chowder-chow and @brunch-at-jerrys as well, but this is not mandatory.

* Note: We’re not sure what kind of response we’re going to get, but we’d like to start off with a relatively small group and add more people over time, so if you’re not admitted in the first round, there will be other opportunities to join!
After applications close on Friday, February 10, 2017, we will start reading through the applications and picking members.
Admitted members will be notified on Friday, February 17, 2017 and asked to fill out a Members Survey (Members Survey due date TBD)
Please check your settings to make sure that we can contact you! We will be informing admitted members of the next steps through Tumblr’s IM system.
