Hey, I thought I'd answer just this one message as I don't want to leave people hanging.

My dog passed away quite recently. We had her full life together and it was certainly time to let her be at peace, but everything has felt very hollow since then. I don't want to do anything at all. Don't want to stay indoors but don't want to go out, don't want to be hungry but don't want to eat. The things that I have no choice but to do, like go to work, feel performative.

I expect this feeling will leave me eventually, which again is something I'm conflicted about - part of me wants to feel better but part of me doesn't want it to fade because it's an expression of how much I loved her - but I just don't know at the moment.
