It wasn’t fair putting Whitney and Jen on the same show at the same time when Whitney is SO favorited. Especially with all of what Jen has been through, I’ve watched TSLOMW for a while and she’s always sad and depressed (not in a mean way but in a concerned way) because of other people, or her husband, but now she was finally starting to be happy ☹️

honestly i felt so bad. me and my friend watch dwts together (shoutout @agardeninspace) and we were both like "man if jen gets eliminated that'd just be sad." you could tell she really cared, and i did want her to stay another week.

Unsurprisingly, this November 1989 Boston Rocks playlist shares a lot of releases with the December 1989/January 1990 one that I posted about last month. Though that Cavedogs demo tape is nowhere to be found here. It must have shot directly into heavy rotation. It certainly became an instant favorite of mine.

While I find it a sin that Jonathan Richman’s self-titled album that year—his solo debut (if really in name only)—is only in light rotation here, I’ll give a hearty “fuck yeah!” to the first name listed in their “Not New, But Always Good” list: Mission of Burma.
