The proportions are a bit skewed but could be worse for a first attempt.

The blue is a lot more greenish irl, but my camera and the lighting are conspiring to make little Alpharius into an Ultramarine..

Based it on a pattern (Plush-Marine by Tracey Granted) but changed some of it once I realised that some of the instructions didn't make sense (number of stitches per row not adding up, etc.).

Currently thinking about having a second go with some more significant changes, since I don't like some of the proportions (e.g. the pauldrons seem too wide), but I don't have a lot of experience doing things without a pattern

1) Day is fine, should've done more chores, but whatever, gotta game some to stay sane.

2) Several things, but most important was seeing how my s/o enjoyed spending time with my parents, because they are very relaxed compared to theirs.

I'm putting this here as well since I'm not sure if others outside the community will see it otherwise:

Not sure, if these new communities are anything that'll stick around, but I thought why not try it out and got this one approved.

There's a lot of different directions Wh40k stuff goes on Tumblr and I think already some communities for it as well (think I saw a post about a RP one a while ago).

Idea of this one would be to share and discuss what's going on in the (official) lore, since that is already a lot to navigate and get an overview of, but in general I'm not opposed to broadening it up for fanfiction discussions as well (although tagging it accordingly would be good in order to not confuse those out of the loop).

Made the community public, but I think that only relates to post visibility. If someone wants to join, just send me a dm.

Y'know for as much as we make fun of Ferrus Manus for being "Iron Hand, the leader of the Iron Hands" he genuinely has one of the more interesting primarch traits. A guy whose arms are made of living steel that allows him to shape and form metal as if it were paper is a genuinely unearthly, superhero-like quality.

Most of the primarchs were given stuff that amounts to "I'm psychic" (seeing the future, invisibility via Jedi mind trick, etc) or "I do magic." Dorn kind of has that implication that he can always see things as they really are, and Alpharius briefly flirted with the characterization of being not just twins but one person in two bodies. Which for what it's worth was pretty cool.

But imagine being a dude on the front lines whose tank just took a hit that messed up the right side treads and along comes a 10-foot tall guy who takes a look and just gives a damaged tire a slap to pop it back into its normal shape and pulls the treads back together with no more trouble than zipping up a hoodie. Then without even looking slaps away an incoming shell that bounces off his palm with a clang.
