"The Bad Guys" movies deserve way more credit than people give them. Great animation, hilarious rapid fire jokes and bits, memorable characters and designs, well-paced writing, genuine stakes, romances you get invested in, etc. These are movies that know exactly what they are and lean into it, coming out with some genuinely stellar work that simply flies under the radar because they're animated family movies.
